I've been storing here for 5 years and I really can't complain. The prices do go up occasionally but it's easy to move units. It's very convenient and easy to access the building. I do wish they would extend their hours on Sundays but that's my only gripe. Staff is very friendly and helpful. read more

I just tried to purchase a box.. and they had the doors completely locked. After knocking and waiting several minutes the single employee who was behind the cash register pretended not to see me nor acknowledged my presence til finally he came to the front to unlock the door and through the tiny crack he left opened told me they were closed and to come back tomorrow. The hours are clearly posted that they should be open. The lights are fully on. Someone just doesn't want to do their job. This is crazy read more

The workers at this location are great. They are responsive, nice and friendly. The amount of price hikes this company gives its customers are insane! I've had a price hike 3 times within the last 3 months, and it's a whopping $500!! For a single storage unit which is insane!!! That's per month. On top of everything else that's incredibly expensive in this city, it's just one of those things that make you shake your head. The spaces are clean, they also have a garage of sorts where you can pull your car into (2 cars max). That's all. Lol. For what you pay, i need them to roll out a red carpet! Urgh! read more

The storage itself is fine, but they price gouge. A couple of months after I completed my move, they increased the price of my unit by nearly $100. When I complained the manager of the location told me this is normal and that the price will increase again in a few months, but they couldn't say by how much. Expect to be paying double what they advertise on their website within a year of storing here. read more

This absolutely the worst establishment I have ever been too. First I fell out of my storage unit was laying on the ground and one of the attendees left me there and said "it's time to go". I was actually injured and had rest for a week. Then I talked to the store manager about it, she did not believe me. We continually spoke and she asked me to go to the doctor get a note and pay for everything and maybe they would reimburse me. I was like another 600$ bill? No. She was so aggressive and unhelpful. They never followed up or gave compensation. They REFUSED to get a step ladder even after I fell. I kept the storage bc I needed it. Finally spoke to the district manager he gave me 10 days free. I go to my storage unit and suspiciously my lock does not work. I have to get my locks cut and come back the next day aka take time off of work to come. I come back my locks are not cut. Finally I get into my storage unit. THEY ILLEGALLY CUT MY LOCK AND WENT INSIDE MY UNIT. I Found the lock in there. WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY TOOK? do not go there it's the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! read more

Have been storing here for over 5 years and never had any serious issues with the facility. The employees and managers are nice and very accommodating. There are a few real issues..... 1. The amount of homeless people that are either attempting to loiter, harassing the staff or unpacking and repacking their units all day, (hogging the ladders). 2. The temperature can be unpredictable. It's really, really cold during the Winter and generally comfortable but occasionally hot during the summer (they offered paper towels and cold water to me a few times, super helpful). 3. The amount I'm charged every month with the increases every 6 months, issues 1 & 2 should be resolved for the customers and the employees. Hopefully this review can go up one day. read more

They need to fire those two rude employees that greet you. They cancelled two reservations on the same day and had the nerve to call and text the next day ---asking were I was . They also have an attitude if you ask them to actually show the unit . Worst customer service ever. The manager is beyond rude . See video link below . Moving is stressful af but they were so kind and empathetic and did everything they could to make things go as smoothly as possible. I never write reviews unless I have a truly horrible experience that other potential customers should know about. I have a large unit at this location, make automatic payments and have never been back to my unit after I moved in. I called today to ask if there was any way to confirm my unit is still securely locked. I spoke with the manager and her response was to ask me the same question several times; if I'd been there to visit the unit, and that she could have someone check and call me back, but that I should just go and check myself. After repeating several times that I had not been to the unit since I moved into it, and explaining that I couldn't go to check it myself, and that I only wanted confirmation that the unit was still securely locked, this was not the service or the response anyone should ever be given. I recommend before signing up for a unit here, to have a good chat with the manager first and see for yourself if you're okay with the attitude and service of this manager. read more

Everyone working here was extremely helpful. On the day of move in I was freaking out because I realized the unit I reserved was going to be too small. Manager DeCourcey took the time to help me upgrade to a large unit and was so pleasant the entire time. The only bad thing about this location is that they're not open 24/7, but they allowed me to stay a little past their official closing time so I could finish storing all of my stuff. I was so stressed out all day and they helped me through it. I'm very grateful to the entire staff. read more

These ladies went above and beyond this evening I sent my intern in to pick up some boxes and they not only were friendly and helpful about the amount but they even tied up the huge boxes so she could comfortably walk to the office. I can't speak for any other cube smart 1220 Broadway the customer service is horrible. The manager Julissa Morales has a very nasty attitude. Don't let managers stay for more than six months. I have been a customer six months. The phone rings and very rarely is it answered. In addition Cubesmart needs to remember customers keep the business going not managers. Cubesmart continues to get complaints about this Store then and only then will they make a change. The store is clean. The staff is in and out. They don't walk around to check the floors. Check the floors when customers are in the building. Cameras don't pick up the aisles only where the elevators are. They are constantly at the desk sitting down. If there is three people working someone can check the floors and make sure everything is alright. Don't contact me asking for the review to be removed. read more

This place is terrible. The workers have a terrible attitude. One of the employees parks his personal car in one of the two bays so everyone is fighting over the single bay. You have to leave your id with the office to get a cart, which is a pain and the prices are double what they should be. They also make you pay for mandatory insurance (not included in the advertised prices of course) which you don't need if you have renters or homeowners insurance (which they don't tell you). They also raised the rent two months after I moved in. This is normal as they think people would rather pay more than move out. It is a predatory business model. Go somewhere else. I moved out and the first place I went to had a slightly larger space for half the price, no mandatory insurance and one of the workers helped me unload my car and gave me a cart. I didn't have to hand him my ID. read more

This company and especially this location are a complete rip off. The employees have terrible attitudes, and everything they advertise is completely false. The first time I ever went there, I was told they were closed and I wouldn't be helped, even though it was 15 minutes before their posted closing time, and I was clearly in the building, with stuff, and ready to pay. This should have been a major red flag but I managed to convince the worker to let me be a customer (!!!). I asked about the GIANT banner they had outside saying the first month is free, I was told that wasn't available. I asked why the sign was still there and the worker simply didn't answer. SCAM. I asked about the free truck and driver advertised on the subways, and was told that wasn't available to me either since I was already signed up (?!?!). SCAM. The second time I went the place was locked again even though it was supposed to be open for another hour. I filled out a review on their website and was asked if I wanted a manager to reach out to me. I said yes, but never heard from anyone. This place SUCKS. Do not go here, it's a scam, a complete rip off, and the employees are awful. They are misleading and have an attitude and acted like I should have known I wasn't entitled to any of the things they advertised. read more

I'm a tenant at Cube Smart and it has made my life so much more organized ! I love the employes they also make me feel welcome and before I get to work I usually sit and have a cup of tea and check my emails( they have free wifi and tea) the place is clean and a good place if you have a small business like me and need a place to keep your things or use as an office. I put electricity in mine so I can have more light. I give this facility 5 stars as the staff and place are really great ! read more

Besides the representative not having the correct keys to show me the unit, having to walk all the way back and get them, I would say that almost being attacked by a drunken "customer" and having to fight her off of my brother in the elevator, my experience with Cube Smart had to be one for the books!
