12 medium wings - comes with carrots celery and bleu cheese

4.5 stars - server at the counter was working hard and was very welcoming and cheerful to each customer throughout our stay. Cozy clubhouse vibe. Lots of hardwood and painted wood kept very clean and neat. Water for patrons and ice at the counter is a very nice touch. And the water was delicious. No aftertaste at all. Wing sauce was clearly house made and tasty. Pizza was a solid 3.5 out of 5. Good eating, enjoyable, upper middle of the road pizza. Would definitely stop back next time we're nearby.

    Huge brownies for under $4.00.

The busiest & friendliest venue in all of Bristol! Cubbers is that place to stop at to get when in need of food that will stick to your bones while having a good time watching a ball game with a brew. The place is phenomenally lively with locals and tourists like me, and it can be somewhat hard to hear your order being processed due to how busy the place gets. There is seating both inside and out, yet expect to get bumped sometimes if your table is too close to the door. That's because there are days when the line gets long & wide, even somewhat spilling out of the door. Cubbers seems to offer a huge menu to choose from, and it appears everything is pretty good from the pizzas, subs, wings and soups, to the huge brownies that are next to the cash register. Parking outside is limited (as are most of downtown Bristol's venues), yet this is a minor thing in the summer time. For a good bite with good service, I'll certainly consider this place first upon my return to Bristol.

Whenever I make the trip up to northwestern or central Vermont, or even the Northeast Kingdom, I always seem to pass through the small town of Bristol. As it turns out, when I passed through Bristol today, and since there aren't many food choices within a 10-15 mile radius of Bristol, I decided to have lunch at one of the establishments in town. As a result, I decided to choose to dine at Cubbers, which I believe has been around since 1975. Cubbers seems to do most of their business in pizza, subs and sandwiches, but of course, there are some soups, salads and specials as well. I decided to order a Junebug chicken sandwich, which features a chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayo on a toasted roll. I also had a hamburger mac soup and washed it down with. I thought the food was tasty, and while I thought the service was a little slow, they did bring the food right to my table that I was waiting at.

The Tillerman is located about 5 minutes from downtown Bristol. The restaurant is inside an inn that is popular for their outdoor weddings. +++. Ambiance is idillic Vermont farm inn. Beautiful grounds and surprisingly large restaurant. The restaurant feels intimate as it is divided into many rooms. They have a wood burning oven for their pizzas. We sat in an intimate nook with a view of their front garden. +++. Food is new American and pizze. Interesting, creative and insanely delicious cuisine. +++ beef tartare - first tartare I've consumed more than a bite! +. Shrimp skewer- perfect temp but a little fishy for me. Others liked it though ++. Green salad - loved the presentation and tasty. Though flavorful, some bread crumbs were gravelly. Will skip bread crumbs next time. +++. Funghi pizza - fragrant blue oyster mushrooms on thin sourdough (they use a mix of several flours) crust. Though the bread crumbs are reminiscent of bacon bits, will skip it next time. Even so, the best mushroom pizza eva! ++. Orange sunrise mocktail was sweet and refreshing ++. Price is high but oh, so worth it! Very good value for the quality +++. Service is attentive and informative. Ian, our waiter was great! ++. Parking is a private lot TT is my new favorite resto in VT replacing HOTW. They are mindful and don't use seed oils and support local producers. TT is truly a farm to table resto that delivers interesting dishes beyond their delicious pizze. MY RATINGS - - - Inhumane -- Disgusted - Don't bother =. Missed the Mark +. Good ++ Better +++ EDIBLE... WHERE have you bee my LiFe!

We're lucky to have a lot of good ski days in our year and didn't feel obligated to ski in such awful conditions. Ordered a large pizza for pickup in 20 minutes around lunch time and were told that the place gets slammed around this time of day, at this time of year. After puttering about Sugarbush Village for a bit we realized we were in the wrong place and drove to the "new" location at almost exactly the 20 minute marker for pickup. The pizza was just as we fondly remembered: a great balance of oregano-forward sauce and not-overly-high-brow mozzarella, and a generous amount of pepperoni / toppings on a slightly more cracker-like crust than NYC-style pizzas. My family of pizza snobs likes, but does not rave about, this place.

It came in a small cast iron pan so I was excited and expected crispy rice! I didn't get it though, the rice was just there, Not crispy! Very disappointing! Bobby Flay would scoff at this poor excuse, we know what crispy rice is suppose to be like. The dish should just say with rice since I didn't get a hint of sesame either.

I also ordered Onion Rings. I asked the counter person what cut of steak they used for their Philly's. She politely offered that they use shaved steak. I asked if it was Rib-Eye or Top Round or Sirloin, because the word 'steak' can mean any cut of beef really. She said she would go out back in the kitchen an ask - came back in a moment and said, 'Rib-Eye'. "Great", I said and ordered a whole / lg. Our order only took a brief time before being delivered to our dining room table by the same counter person. She was very nice / good people skills...a good first impression...we were 1st time customers and...matter of factly....we used to own and operate our own pizza shop for ten years. She was a good staff member to represent their business at the front counter! The food. My Philly was outstanding. Moist. Not dry like some others I've had out. So many places use cheap Top Round of Beef, shaved thin to cut costs. This one was VERY good. I could only eat half / brought the other half with us. When the counter woman placed my wife's 'Margherita' pizza down on the table, I said, 'now THAT is a great looking pizza'!!! The counter woman said, 'yeah...it DOES look great'....'it's my favorite pizza'! And it WAS very very good. Cooked perfectly..golden crust...just the right amount of sauce to fresh mozz - cheese ratio....fresh chopped Basil sprinkled on top....and added AFTER it came out of the oven..I could tell. Perfect. She loved it. The Onion Rings? Cooked golden, perfect. They were not only cooked correctly, they tasted great and were HOT. I'm not trying to diss other restaurants but sometimes....sometimes they must cook their fries or OR's way too early in the order and must put them under a heat lamp...when they SHOULD be cooked just before the order goes out to the table....these WERE!!! And most places DO NOT make their own OR's....too messy, labor intensive..these tasted like Brew City OR's...a brand...but if not...they were VERY VERY good!!! So all and all, a very good job by 'Rocker's' on our first visit....I asked the counter woman who made the Philly / she told me / so I ventured into the kitchen and gave the crew a two thumbs up to all! Yes I did! Because I used to own my own pizzeria....and I know how hard the industry is.....I thanked them! I am a pizziolo and have been making pizzas since 1969 at The Tower Restaurant on Williston Rd, South Burlington. This was a very good pizza! By the way...it was our 50th Wedding Anniversary that day! They did a great job / and we left happy. Thanks again - Good Job staff!!! Continued success! Dave M.

My partner and I had ample time to read, ponder, and ponder again. We came to the conclusion that Folino's wields the poem as a sort of psychological weapon. We ordered two small pizzas. We were told they would take 15 to 20 minutes to make. Folino's was not busy. When the 20 minute mark hit, we looked around, and I pointed out to my partner that it looked like two pizzas had just gone into the oven. We read the poem again. At the 30 minute mark, when the two pizzas came out, I got a look at them, and they looked like exactly what we had ordered. I smiled, glad to be filling my growling belly soon, and read the poem one last time. Wendell Berry urged "peace." I waited for the cashier to call our name. Another ten minutes passed. Workers laughed with each other, and more pizzas went into the oven. I gathered my shame -- Wendell Berry says worries are unnatural things! -- and asked the cashier for an update on our order. She told us they were working on it. I read the poem again. Imagine our surprise when, one full hour after we'd placed our order, the cashier walked to the *original* two pizzas we'd seen go into the oven, and finally call our name. They'd been sitting on the counter for 30 minutes, enjoying their own "peace." Does Folino's think reminding us that wild animals would gladly eat cold pizza is going to convince us their service is good? That it's the natural state of the world? Hire some adult humans, next time, maybe. This is a restaurant, not the wilderness!
