    Exterior of cafe, industrial-looking building.

Was a little hard to find, food was ok, but I definitely don't think it's a legit Cuban spot in south Florida. I didn't hear one Cuban accent from any of the employees lol, and that just usually doesn't happen in South Fl. When you grown up in a Cuban family and visit them in Miami throughout your life, you just know these things. Overall it was ok. Maybe if I was in the area and needed something quick, I'd go back. It's not really a sit down and stay kind of place, definitely more of a grab and go.

    Nice spot in pompano

Pork sandwich was season well with grilled onions... The skirt steak was okay I personally don't like that cut of a steak, so I can't give a review on it. I can say it was seasoned well. The salad was given with no dressing; The place is nice and very clean, the staff were nice. Very cozy spot in pompano: . Dell style set up. I saw an orange juice machine and it squeezed fresh juices looked delicious and fresh. Try it out. I think you will be pleased..

It seems like it's difficult to find a great place for Cuban coffee in the Ft. Lauderdale area so I'm happy to have found Cuban Cafe. They serve delicious coffee, pastries, breakfast and sandwiches. There are couple of things to know: parking kind of sucks and there's not a lot of room inside but it's still worth it. The cafe con leche is HOT and sweetened just right. The jugo de mango con leche is my favorite drink and Cuban Cafe makes it perfectly. I ordered the Breakfast Special which is served with 2 eggs, bacon or ham, cuban toast, homestyle potatoes, and a Cuban coffee. This reminded me of a home-cooked meal. The homestyle potatoes had so much flavor and the Cuban toast was just what I needed to soak up the yolk from the eggs. Cuban Cafe is a bit of a drive but I know I'll leave satisfied.

    Media noche sandwich. Sooo good!

This place gets packed!! Make sure you go during off peak hours if possible. We circled a few times before we were able to get a parking spot. Now onto the food. Delicious!!! I had the media noche sandwich which is basically a Cubano on a sweeter roll. Mmmm. Totally my new sandwich. My sister had the oxtail which I had the pleasure of trying. Loved it as well! It meat was fall off the bone and thr flavors were on point.Chris? Coffee - oh man, truly authentic and strong! Loved the cortidito. Slightly sweet, not much milk, and gives you a kick. I will surely be back when I visit my family again

Very friendly staff, answered questions happily. Plenty of servers quick service. Had the Cubano special sandwich, delicious as was the colada, Cuban coffee.

This is a pitiful excuse for a media Noche

Drove quite a bit out of my way thinking this was a true good Cuban Cafe because I really wanted a media Noche. how disappointing when we get home and find that it's about 99% ham and maybe 1% roast pork. I won't be going back. a $9 sandwich should be a proper sandwich not a rip off.

    Perfect every time.

Come for the Cuban coffee and it's perfect every time. Best coffee around. Excellent service.

Great Cuban coffee and service was nice too , I've Been there twice for breakfast and coffee every time we go to Pompano Beach

So my review is just for coffee but their cortadito is beyond amazing. It is so smooth and creamy. The guy at the Counter was friendly and the coffee was freshly made as I waited. The service was fast and efficient. I will definitely return when I come back to Florida

Wrapped nicely to go Cafe con Leche

The next evening I went there and sat at the bar again and I asked a different staff member if I could substitute the shrimp for the coconut shrimp because I really wanted to have all three. He said he didn't think so I told him I asked the night before and they said no and if he could please check even if there was an upcharge of a few dollars. He checked and said it was a go ahead so I was able to get the three items with an upcharge of $3 that I wanted the night before. The plate had grouper that was battered perfect to the crispiness the conch fritters with a sauce and the coconut shrimp with the sauce. It also came with fries and slaw. The conch fritters were good the coconut shrimp were okay. I have had better but it was still good I did not care for the sauce that went with the coconut shrimp. It is an ocean-view king room. This means the room is on the side of the building but still had a great view of the ocean. You enter valet on the northern side of the building. The valet Matt was quick, friendly and helped with my luggage. Valet is $44 a day. There was a short line at the front desk but there were two employees working and it went quick. The $45 resort fee covers chairs and umbrellas on the beach and two complementary drinks. You can pick from a small list of drinks including beer, g&t and wine. They also offer a morning exercise routine. Monday was yoga by the pool. The room was large with a nice modern design, a small couch and side table and a nice balcony with two chairs and a table. There was a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave. We ordered room service and had breakfast out on the balcony one morning. There were games setup in one of the meeting rooms right outside the pool and free popcorn was offered daily. The pool was large with plenty of chairs but people did save seats early in the morning. I went down at 9am and there were about five seats not claimed and only around eight people at the pool. Everyone else started showing up to their saved chairs around 10am. The pool did get less crowded with fewer children as the day went on. By 3pm there were more open chairs available. The beach is right outside the gate. Along with the chairs and umbrellas there is a sand pit with toys for the kids, a tiki bar and volleyball net. The hotel is very clean with modern decor. It is in a very residential area so there aren't any shops or restaurants around to walk too. Everything is about a mile south near the pier. It was the perfect place for rest and relaxation which is exactly what I was looking for.

Housekeeping staff are super kind, and anything we needed arrived quickly! The negative: Don't waste your money! We paid $400+ per night (amenities included, valet separate) and found out the hotel sells $45/day passes to non-guests. We had an issue with our room, and the hotel could not move us because it was full. We were told we'd get 2 chairs, access to the private beach, and 2 welcome drinks. No chairs, all 4 days we were there (party of 8). The welcome drinks were gin, non-ach or wine... Service was extremely slow, the pool was overcrowded, and the staff was so cranky/rude that everyone seemed to dislike their job. For a hotel marketed as a remodeled, luxury spa retreat, this was disappointing and not what we paid for. The icing on the cake was waiting 30m+ to valet our car due to the influx of people coming and going, oh, and having to bring our own luggage up and down due to no carts. Spoke with Ricardo about our entire stay, and he just stared at my husband, then proceeded to say, "Well, when you go to Disney on a holiday weekend, it's going to be busy." Sir... when I go to Disney, I know it's going to be crowded because it's DISNEY. You're a Marriott selling $400+ rooms a night and over-crowding your hotel, causing your guests to not enjoy the amenities you're claiming to provide, then when we say we are unhappy, you don't even bother trying to work with us; you looked annoyed. I wish we read the comments before staying because it seems to be a recurring theme.

A few small tables set against the wall and a few larger tables on the outside sidewalk. Doesn't look like much thought was placed on the design here. Service: Didn't wait at all for one of those small inside tables. My server was efficient and served my tea latte exactly as requested. Little things can often make the difference between a successful dining experience and not and here were a few of the small things that were provided that make a difference. I ordered the pancakes and my server suggested a side of scrambled eggs. The food: I received two pancakes which were well done, light and fluffy and the perfect size. I also received plenty of butter (so many places don't give you enough butter) an ample amount of steamed milk for my tea (another area that always seems to be pretty hard to get right). One thing that always drives me crazy was the fact that my scrambled eggs were served in the same dish as my pancakes. I hate this as the syrup inevitably gets to the eggs. Fortunately, I had a second small dish under my tea (which is also a great thing to get, to place my tea bag). I used this dish for my eggs. Another nice convenience was the mug for my tea which had a handle that I could actually put my fingers through (another area that restaurants fail to provide). In addition, I also ordered a side of sausage which came in patties form and was pretty tasty. The Bottom Line: As always my "customer so what" would I come back? The answer, probably. Although the ambiance was substandard, the food was good the service was as well so, it more than likely would be worth another visit on my next stop in town.
