I went to eat lunch here. I'm Cuban so I was excited to try their food because there aren't many Cuban food locations around. I was sadly disappointed. The food lacked authentic flavor. Taking a peak at the staff - they did not look Cuban at all. I felt like I was eating "knock-off" food. I won't be coming back. read more

This is a small fast takeout place with about 12 counter space area. The empanada is good and many people order these to go. They deliver for a $1.00 delivery charge. read more

Not many spanish places that have good English speaking people... so that is a big plus... the food is absolutely amazing. It's not very nice looking but it's definitely a hidden treasure. Drove 2 cities for their sandwich. read more

If you want some authentic Cuban food at a great price, then this is the place for you. My first time here was a Saturday around 11am. They were still serving breakfast, but lunch was available as well. We had the Cuban sandwich and the grilled fish. The sandwich was the best Cuban we had ever had and the grilled fish was good, but not great. The service was very friendly and food was served pretty quickly. I will definitely come back for more. read more

I get delivery from this dinner all the time, so does everyone else in my office. The food is unbelievable. My favorite is the ropa vieja. Also their coffee and espresso is top notch read more

Living in Miami since 1999, I moved to Deerfield Beach 2010 and couldn't fine anything close to the taste of Cuba. This is the BEST in Broward. Good food , great people and most importantly, we're always satisfied! Little tough seating, but my orders are mostly to go! 5 stars read more

Amazing little hole in the wall. Thanks Yelp! This one is awesome. No glamour here, just great local Cuban food. Sooooooo good. Very reasonable price. Step up and sit down at the counter to order. I'm so full right now I don't think I can yelp anything else. I give this place 5 stars - best itis in town. read more

This restaurant is a hidden gem - seems to get a lot of local traffic for lunch and mid-day coffees. The staff speaks Spanish and English they are welcoming to tourists and outsiders. There is a small counter to eat at but they seem to do a lot of to-go food. We both ordered the Cuban coffee (cafe con leche). The coffee was rich and flavorful. The beans are freshly ground in house. The Cuban sandwiches were made right in front of us and we're piping hot and full of flavor. We split a chicken empanada the dough was crispy and thick - tasted homemade. We enjoyed every bite!! read more

Great food ,prices are great , they actually know how to cook basted eggs , lol really everything is excellent there

Why the overall total score for this hole in the wall dive is 4.5 stars is beyond me. The first thing that's not so great about this place is the small parking. When you go into this tiny place all you feel is the heat, no relief from the 95 degree weather outside; where is the A/C, is it on?? The food quality is not great and not your typical Cuban food either. I've been eating Cuban food all my life and this is not it. I'm sure the cook isn't Cuban neither are any of the people working there and especially the waitresses, nothing wrong with that but reason why this food doesn't taste like your typical Cuban food. The "media noche" which is my favorite sandwich is drenched in butter and the ham is cut too thick. The "empanadas de pollo" are tasteless and pretty gross, sorry. The only thing I can say I've had there and I've enjoyed is the "batido de mamey" and that's about it. Now for the owner's son. This guy is pretty much an asshole. He has a really bad attitude which is one of the reasons I will stay away besides the C minus food. I went in to grab lunch with a Cuban co-worker (I'm Cuban myself) & a few minutes after we were there she made a comment to me, "Is this place Cuban or Mexican?" The owners son, the obnoxious guy sitting by the register replied to her out loud and nasty, "This is a Cuban restaurant, don't you see the name outside that says it?!" She tried to explain to him that she wasn't trying to be mean, that it was just an observation. He went off on her again and I had to intervene and tell him that he shouldn't be nasty to his customers especially a woman who was old enough to be his mother. He never apologized but what would you expect from an ignorant ass, seriously. So, when I want to eat Cuban food I will not be going to the "Cuban" Cafe. read more

Best Cuban cafe in town. Loved the Cuban Steak sandwich. Owner is extremely nice and pleasant. You just can't go wrong with the food here and the prices are extremely economical. read more

By far the best lunch spot in the area and the best Cuban food in Broward. Service is awesome, location is great, and the food is amazing.

Okay.. Not going to lie this place is way overrated. The coffee is good and that's about it. I had ordered the cheese sandwich and they ended up giving me a cheese sandwich with ham and eggs.. The cheese was beyond plain, I'm not even joking it didn't taste like anything. I really tried to like the sandwich but it was so gross. I tried the Cuban sandwich from my coworker and it was just as bad. Honesty I want to try other things but I'm also slightly afraid to go back. read more

The epitome of "hole in the wall" but that is the best part! The parking is horrible but it's because the place is always packed. We've been coming here for the better part of 10 years. The food is always on point, the service is quick and attentive. I miss the East Pompano location but this is the original spot. They know most people by name or by face and make you feel comfy during all visits. Great Cuban food, best in North Broward. read more

No no nooo, i dont mind halls in walls but i did expect actual cuban tasting food. First off nobody that i heard speaking was cuban. I ordered yuca and plantains as side dishes. Yuca was dry, no onions or sny liquid and they gave me maybe 5 super small pieces. The so call mojo was nothing but a powder garlic sauce. Im guessing the high ratings are from people that know nothing about cuban food. read more

This place is terrible!!! I live in Miami, so I figured that being in broward the food wouldn't be the same but I never thought it would be so bad. I normally don't write reviews, and I even gave this place a second chance. On both occasions, I ordered sandwiches(pan con bistec & Cuban) the sandwiches were extremely salty. The bread was old and not only was the food not good but in order to pay with a card your purchase has to be over $10. So I was forced to buy a shake. Not traditional Cuban at all. On top of that the place is a hole in the wall that looks like it might just fall apart. It's one inspection away from being shut down. read more

Super busy! Everyone seems to know how awesome this place is. Delicious Cuban sandwiches. Delicious vaca frita! Picadillo was not as good as I've had. Great black beans and yuca frita! Will go back!! Entrees only $7.99 for plenty! read more

May be they have really good coffee and that's the reason they have good reviews... I think their lunch special is way overpriced... you can get a much better lunch at Bohemia down the street, for a better price. I ate lunch there today and I'm not planning to come back. read more

The food was alright but not exceptional. Coming from years of living close to Miami I didn't find the Cuban Cafe worth going back to.

Ordered breakfast, took almost an hour and a half to get here(less than a mile away.) I did call after an hour and asked when my food would be delivered. The gentleman that answered phone asked me if I was told that it would be over an hour and I told him I was not told that important info (I would have ordered from somewhere else) He said oh well, we are busy. The food arrived cold and without condiments. There are many better places in South Florida to order breakfast from. FAIL read more

Literally a hole in the wall run and operated by a family. I was craving a Cuban sandwich and found this little gem on Yelp. It is NOTHING fancy. It sits in the corner of a single story warehouse off of Powerline Road. Counter service is quick and food is basic but delicious. read more

Great Cuban food, my favorites are ropa vieja, cuban and media noche. I'm from Hialeah and it's just as good as the places there, I eat here 3-4 times a week. read more

I'm not an expert on Cuban food and I just had breakfast here( eggs bacon potatoes) but I do know great coffee......killer. Tons of crema. Very tasty. $6 for breakfast including killer Cuban coffee deserves 5 stars. read more

Yelp! comes through, again. Cuban Cafe is why I loaded the Yelp! app. Excellent food the locals know about in a non-descript place off the beaten path. I had Lechon Asado (roast pork) and it rocked! Spot on taste with perfect seasoning and a nice size serving. It's a small joint with very limited seating. Lots of take-out going on. Wide variety of patrons. Good interaction with the staff. I'll definitely eat here again the next time I'm in town. read more

Very small, but well worth it! Food and service were excellent, though you need to arrive early enough to have a full menu listing. Once they run out of something, it's gone for the day. Wanted to try the Vaca Frita, but they were out. Not much seating, but nice for a quick bite and a taste of Cuba! read more

Most Latin American restaurants I eat at are pretty good, but this one is FANTASTIC!!

This is by far my favorite Cuban restaurant. We always feel at home here. We have been coming here for over 20 years. The service is awesome the food is always delicious. Lunch or dinner always the BEST! read more

A little hole in the wall place that knows what it's doing. Food is authentic, tasty and Fidel himself could be the cook.

I was pretty starving and way too far to head to my go-to Cuban spot, Enriqueta's. Had my usual breakfast and while it wasn't horrible, it was definitely underwhelming. My scrambled eggs were just alright, my potatoes were cold on the plate, my friend's sandwich came out almost once I was done eating my breakfast, and let's say the best part was the café con leche and my tostada. Pretty noisey, the phone rings off the hook with no answer and there's plenty of confusion. Definitely won't be making the trip back up to Broward for "Cuban" breakfast here. read more

I hadn't been here in years and recently started going back. The food was not as I remembered. It was good but not something to get excited about. Also, I was hoping to get a really good breakfast and coffee. The breakfast is just ok. read more

Fantastic Cuban food. They have the best media noche sandwich. Breakfast with cafe con leche is fantastic. Very small pla.ce, but everyone very friendly. 5 stars for this little restaurant. read more

I ordered take out, milanesa with moros and maaduros, i ate the food after 2 hrs of just sitting there because i couldnt pick it up, even though it was at room temperature it was pretty good!!! Only complaint i have is that the milanesa compared to other cuban places is half the size and they gave me 3 maduritos which were really small, all in all good food so far but very small portions!!!! read more

Authentic Cuban breakfast at this hole in the wall place. Tight parking, standing room only, but great food. The croquettas were amazing, chicken empanadas were really good, guava pastries delicious and flaky, and the Cuban coffee was perfection. read more

Ordered takeout twice while visiting relatives locally. Only the breakfast, which is pretty standard American-type fare. It was good though. The Cuban coffee and toast were very good and the service was great. read more

Came here for breakfast before returning home to NY from vacation and after reading the Yelp reviews. This place did not disappoint. Best coffee I've had in a long time and the same can be said about the sweet freshly made orange juice. The tostada Cubana was oh my God! Everything we order was outstanding. The only regret was not coming here at the beginning of our vacation. read more

Words can't explain you just gotta try it!! Just be patient small spot but off the chain another I love this place!!
