Yes, yes, SÍ! Beautiful and tasty crema on the café colada, wonderful pan sobao (sweet) and de agua (not sweet). I lucked out finding this gem and will go back every chance I have to travel to Pompano Beach. The small diner feel is wonderful but the real treasure is the staff. We found this place on Yelp and decided to visit. They close at 4 PM and we arrived about 3 PM. Absolutely not to be missed if you're in the area! Great food and great prices!!!! Breakfast is great and inexpensive as well as their lunch specials.

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we had to make 2 passes around the building to find a place to park at lunchtime. The place is very small, but the crowded conditions tell you how great the food is! There was steady traffic,but the staff worked hard to keep up with the customers and they had smiles on their faces the whole time. My wife and i got Cuban sandwiches. The texture and thickness of the bread was perfect. The ham, pork, and cheese were just the right mix of flavors. The fries were straight out of the fryer -- no warming lamp here. You don't pay for atmosphere at the Cuban Cafe; you pay for really good food! We will definitely visit here again when we come back to Pompano Beach! read more

I don't know who they are paying to leave them good reviews but Yelp really let me down on this one! My husband and I were looking to try cuban food for the first time while vacationing in Florida. We decided on this place because it had the highest rating and was also the closest to our resort. I didn't need a fancy restaraunt just some good authentic Cuban food and figured this hole in the wall with such a high rating should be perfect. Boy was I wrong! The food is very bland and I might not know Cuban food but I know bland flavorless food. The Cuban sandwich tasted like a ham sandwich from Subway. It had A (as in 1) very thin slice of processed pork. When I asked about it I was told that's how it comes unless I request and pay more for shredded pork which I would have done possibly had it been offered to me when taking my order or even on the menu as an option. The Chicken Milanese and Moros rice were also very very bland. Both the guy at the counter (who had zero personality) and the waitress were very aware I was unhappy with the sandwich and never once offered to fix it or offered an alternative option. Very poor service and very disappointing meal. If you're like us and looking for your first Cuban food experience please look elsewhere or your experience will be ruined like ours and you will leave sadly disappointed. read more

I've always had their food delivered to me at work but I was having a crappy day and having to wait an hour for my food didn't seem like something I wanted to do. So for the first and last time I went in and let me tell you this is the worst place I have ever gone too. First of all let me start with the owner who was an absolute asshole, he was extremely rude to my girlfriend and I. The food took about an hour to get to our table and by the time it did the food was not only cold but would taste like plastic. I had always wondered why they would always take so long to answer the phone when it was always pretty empty when I would drive by it , well let me tell you why! I sat in horror as I watched an employee pick up the phone and just hang up multiple times, making the customers have to call back again and again. so if you're looking for some good Cuban food do yourselves the favor and keep looking. read more

I've got class at Broward College so I came in before my classes started. Real simple place with a real simple menu. Got the Cuban sandwich, was "aight" some of the other customers got empanadas which looked bomb. Prices are as friendly as the people that work there. Next time I come by, maybe I'll grab a Cuban coffee and finally learn how to play dominos. For a quick pick-me-up the place is solid. read more

We went here the other morning for the first time. We had high hopes based on the reviews. My south Dade Cuban boyfriend was happy to find a place like this near our house and on the way to work. It was short-lived. The food was standard. We ordered it to go and while there he talked to the guy at the register about their delivery distance. They said a 2 mile radius. We were asking mainly because we work not far away and we have a building of hundreds that order breakfast every day from 2 places with sub-par food and 45 minute delivery. Without really thinking about it the dude wasn't interested. It's a shame because he had a chance to really bank, but he shut it down with a quickness. The staff isn't friendly, most definitely doesn't earn the name "Cuban" cafe. We decided that someone who turns down a chance for a serious $$ increase in profit is lazy and also has a poor attitude to match doesn't deserve our business. The bacon was awesome, the tostada was just right, but the people working there were less than inspiring. There are other places. read more

The people are extremely sweet when taking the orders however it's usually about an hour long to have the food delivered over to us, when it gets to you it taste like it would have been okay had it not been sitting in the restaurant or the delivery car for a few hours; it's usually soggy and semi warm. When you pick up the food directly from the restaurant it's much faster and taste much better. However about 2 weeks I called in for our usual breakfast order. I ordered two coffees two sandwiches and a few pastries, the lady read my order back exactly as we requested and gave us our price of $23, we all piled up our money and waited over an hour. when the food arrived we paid the man $32 and took the food. Shortly after the delivery man left we realized we were short a sand which, the receipt showed they only charged us for one sandwich and the price was $16 and some change, being the fact that we are regular customers we called back and advised them of the dilemma, the employee that answered the phone told us it was a generous tip and if we wanted another sandwich we would have to place another order, ugly words were exchanged. I then went over there in attempt to either have my $7 to be refunded or a sandwich I was greeted by the owners son "are you the b**** on the phone?!" He then proceeded to call the cops and told me to "get the f*** out of my restaurant" either way I didn't receive my sandwich, my money or a resolution. There food is okay just a little soggy and extremely poor customer service, I wouldn't recommend this "restaurant" to anyone. read more

The order they brought was $23.09 and we gave the driver $32.00. We called them to tell them that they forgot one of the sandwiches and that we gave them more money. The owner said well we took it as a generous tip. We asked them for the sandwich and they had an attitude and hung up on us. We went to the establishment and the owner said "are you the bitch on the phone with the attitude." This was uncalled for and they stole the money and would not give the food. Kicked us out of the establishment and threatened to call the police. We bring them lots of revenue as we are a company that orders on a daily basis multiple times. We will no longer order from them $9.00 and a sandwich has cost them hundreds of dollars in revenue weekly!!! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! read more
