The Merry Mocha was not my favorite, but I recommend the Peppermint Mocha (I just wish it had more ice because the bottom of the drink was hot). I also tried the chocolate chip muffin which was good. I love stopping by Aroma Joe's to grab a quick breakfast sandwich and tater tots when I'm in the area. Although I don't drink coffee, my hubby and my daughter says the coffee is great also. Gang, I had a mixed experience for my first time at any Aroma Joe's today. I visited the Pompano Beach location. I was on my way to work, so I opted for the drive-thru. I don't know if the menu speaker was broken, but there was a big sign in front of it saying to give the order to the barista at the window. When I got to the window, I was met with a very friendly barista who took my order and payment with a smile. I moved to the second window and received my food and coffee very quickly from an equally polite and cheerful employee. My order was a large iced black coffee, an untoasted Asiago bagel with cream cheese, and a chocolate glazed doughnut. After I drove away, I looked in the bag and was taken aback, as they had not made the sandwich for me, but instead sliced the bagel and gave me two Philly cream cheese packets and a plastic knife. This was a bummer as I had planned to eat the sammich on my way to work and wasn't planning to make it while driving. At least they offer the best cream cheese on the market, unlike whatever gross mess Funkin Gonuts sells. I don't like to toast my bagels but this one was very soft and could have used a toasting for structural integrity. Unfortunately, the coffee tasted slightly burnt. The real star of the show was that chocolate glazed doughnut. Holy moly! It was crispy, creamy, and not overly sweet but super flavorful. Overall, the doughnut and the service will bring me back to Aroma Joe's, but next time I might try an espresso-based drink and an egg and cheese sandwich. read more

It was my first time at Aroma Joe's and I had a great experience! The service was wonderful--the cashier was super nice and even helped me pick out a drink. I ended up ordering the Iced S'mores Latte, which was really good. I also grabbed some hashbrowns (forgot to snap a picture!)--they were okay, but I wished there was some syrup to dip them in. What I really loved was the drive-thru! Finally, a coffee drive-thru option besides Starbucks or Cali Coffee. As a mom of twin babies, it's such a lifesaver not having to get out of the car just to grab a cup of coffee. Definitely recommend giving them a try! While waiting for a rental car, it was a suggestion we wait there. The place had a drive thru as well as indoor & outdoor seating. We felt this was like another take on Starbucks. If you don't like coffee, their AJ Rush energy drinks are a great alternative. You can customize your coffee and AJ Rushes to your liking. They have more unique syrup and flavor combos than your average chain coffee shop. Please give this place a try the next time you're in the West Pompano area. It's a great spot! Out with my friend who's in real estate and was looking for a place with WiFi to do some work. Heard about Aroma Joe's and hadn't visited before. Found out it's a small chain out of New England. My friend had the Caramel Fro-Joe and said it was absolutely delicious. I had the Travel The World Iced Coffee and I drink my coffee black. I had a great flavor, strong but not burnt. No acidic aftertaste, in fact, I really enjoyed it! The chocolate muffin was ok, but not great. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area. Not sure how I missed a review for this gem but truly if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Being from New England I may be slightly bias, however I had never had Aroma Joes until I lived in FL. Coffee is made to your liking but they do have an extensive menu. The best part is they have signature energy drinks that you are able to customize and they have sugar free options. The food choices are great as well; the hash browns and egg white flatbread being my favorite. My daughter LOVES the egg bites and the glazed donut. The coffee shop itself is inviting, and there's plenty of space to set up your workspace if needed. They also have a great drive thru option. Anytime I am east I stop by to see the friendly staff! First of all, I'm shocked I haven't written a review for this place until now. As often as I come here, and as much as I really like the coffee and the space, I'd presumed this to have been done, and had actually come here to update this seemingly non-existent review (which I had presumed to be 5*). Here's the thing, though. As much as the positives (again: excellent coffee and nice space, plus good wifi and comfortable seating options) still hold, and much as I've been willing to overlook the couple of things I haven't loved about the place, two significant incidents have caused me to question the day-to-day management here. I'll mention them in the hope that they're helpful to patrons and to ownership. For context, one thing I've generally found lacking here is that the employees seem pretty detached. They're all polite enough, but they've always struck me as being somewhat bored with their work and sort of uninterested in being there (they seem to engage with one another just fine, but less so with their customers). This is in pretty stark contrast to barista culture at most Broward coffee shops, where the employees tend to be outwardly affable and engaging. Not a problem, per se, but something I've absolutely noted, and which might provide perspective for the couple of stories to follow. First, a few months ago, I was sitting in the coffee shop doing some work, when a customer walked in with a rather large dog. Maybe this is okay, maybe not (I really don't understand regulations and policy around this sort of thing. It didn't appear to be a service animal, and again, it was a large dog). Regardless, while the customer was ordering, with the dog about six feet away from him on a long leash, the dog defecated in the middle of the store (and not to be graphic here, but again, it was a large animal). The pet owner seemed completely oblivious, and somehow no one else seemed to notice or care. Out of curiosity, I waited a good five minutes to see if anyone would notice, and when no one did, I approached the customer (now seated in a corner of the cafe) to let him know. His response was to laugh (?), before half-heartedly apologizing and going to the bathroom to get stuff to clean up the mess. Somehow, none of the employees, who weren't attending customers at the time, seemed to notice this going on, which I found a little baffling. I left, pretty put off, and couldn't bring myself to return for a couple of months. I recently started going back, but just today I saw yet another example of unconcerned employee behavior toward another public health hazard: a woman was seated at the bar next to the register. She seemed to know the employees well and would occasionally go behind the bar to interact with them (maybe she was an off-work employee or something?). At some point, while chatting with the person working the register, she openly started vaping! I'm 99.99% sure this is violation of Florida state law, given that it's an indoor establishment serving food (please correct me if I'm wrong). I was going to approach to say something to her and the employee, but she left before I had a chance. Again, the employee seemed completely nonchalant about the whole thing. Okay, this is a long and critical review, but I'm really not here to be faultfinding. Rather, I'm a genuinely concerned customer who sincerely wants good things for this place but feels it needs to tighten up its operations. read more

Such a good selection of flavors for coffees and teas. Love that they have both a drive thru and a cozy spot to enjoy coffee and food indoors. I absolutely loved the flavor of the month. It was nice and minty and chocolatey. It definitely reminded me of a Shamrock shake just with the addition of coffee. The breakfast options were good too, I had the egg, gouda and bacon sandwich and it was super flavorful. The cinnamon bun was also a great end to the breakfast. The prices were comparable to other shops that are similar in style. It reminded me a lot of Dutch Bros from California, Cali coffee and Clutch. If you like those, you definitely need to check this spot out. Wish it were closer to where I live, but worth the drive! read more

Can't believe this place opened almost 4 years ago (4 years in April) and we are just getting around to stopping by. We usually eat breakfast home, but due to an early morning doctor appointment and rushing around, we just didn't have time. So we decided to stop here afterwards. There's spacious parking. Their stand alone building is "cute" with a drive through window. We chose to eat inside. There were plenty of seats -- nicely spaced. And a couple folks were working from their computers while enjoying a coffee. I had their bacon and egg on a Tuscan roll. I opted to leave off the cheese. It was a cute small square ciabatta roll with a fried egg and several pieces of bacon. It was quite good, but if you have a heartier appetite, you'd still be hungry. I paired this with a hot chocolate with whipped cream which was also very good. Smooth and sweet and perfect for a cooler rainy morning. My husband had their biscuit with cheese, a sausage patty, and a fried egg. The biscuit was soft and fluffy. To drink, he had a regular coffee which he liked as well. Said it wasn't bitter (like Starbucks) but still full bodied. Our service at the counter was pleasant. The food came out fairly quick. And the setting was comfortable. You order, pay, and pickup at the counter. In addition to breakfast sandwiches, they have pastries, bagels, pretzels, cookies, muffins, etc etc. They have recently added some newer sandwiches including a caprese, a bbq pork, and a chicken wrap. Their beverages are a head spinning list of coffees and expressos -- hot or cold; with all sorts of flavors and infusions or additions. They also have teas, energy drinks, frozen blends, and fruit smoothies. I've probably missed a slew of options but you get the idea. Aroma Joe's is an independently owned franchise. Not sure if there are any other locations in the area, but now I'm curious to find out. This is actually a national chain that is mostly located in New England, but there's a lone shop that is oddly located in west Pompano Beach. I visit this area regularly and always make sure that I stop. It's my preferred chain coffee place, even though there is a Starbucks and Dukin' just around the corner. A good thing about this place is that it has the feel and quality of a local coffee shop, but it has the consistency in product that you get from a national chain. I feel like they go a bit extra with their delivery - for example when you order a cold brew with milk, they combine the milk and coffee in a shaker and mix it thoroughly for you. I enjoy their breakfast sandwiches as well. Service is always very friendly and efficient. Oh, and they have a fast drive-thru. read more

The staff behind the counter were so friendly, helpful and accommodating. This cute spot was spacious, clean, and had great parking. It's also a drive thru!! Which is amazing for people who are in a rush and who want a more artisanal coffee than the usual drive-thru chains. As for the coffee - There were so many options I felt a bit overwhelmed (but this is always a nice problem to have)! They all looked absolutely delicious. I got an iced latte with the Sticky Bun flavor (brown sugar, hazelnut and vanilla) and almond milk. It was SO delicious. Like it might have been my favorite coffee I've ever had in south Florida.... I've been coming for about two to three years now. Im a regular. I moved 25 minutes away and still find the time to come here. I love everything about this place. The staff, the food, and the environment. I come here during work hours or sometimes during lunch to just have my snack and drink and I feel at peace. My go to here are the sugar free AJs Rush because im an energy drink junkie, but these are one of kind types of energy drinks. I love it all. My favorite breakfast sandwich is the sausage cheddar biscuit with their hashbrown (ask for it crispy). As for the staff, they're so friendly and even when I have complicated orders, they're so patient and so nice about it. They seriously have great personalities. An Aroma Joe's is a 800 to 900 foot free standing building with a drive through. The small footprint of the store allows it to make use of land larger businesses can't get into. The location in Pompano is located in a parking lot adjacent to Powerline Rd and has been open for over a year. I was out visiting Saturday morning rummage sales when in need of a refuel I passed this coffee house. They have all of the fancy coffee drinks in seasonal flavors along with energy drinks. breakfast, and snacks. For $5 I got an everything bagel and mocha peppermint cappuccino to go. The staff was extremely nice and a Yelp check in netted me 10 percent off which is always appreciated. The bagel was fresh and the coffee was delicious. The food and drinks are of a higher quality than a certain other ubiquitous chain around here. I am now a fan and will definitely be back. read more
