I enjoyed the miso moody, it was delicate and sweet. Miso moody - 4/5 Sticky situation - 3.5/5 Salted caramel - 3/5 They ran out of the regular caramel for the caramel iced latte so my drink ended tasted a little funky with another caramel choice they had. $9 for their specialty coffees but is it worth the wait ehhhh probably not. When we ordered they were mainly doing social media content with out drink orders, so basically we waited 15-20 minutes for the coffee.. The place looked was beautiful and aesthetically pleasing! And modern vibes

I've been here a few times now. I love the aesthetic as soon as I come in the door. Every time I come I'm greeted, I try to try new things. But i definitely keep going back to the burnt ritual matcha. I think it taste fantastic and I love that they have more milk options than other coffee places. I've tried the coffee and so far I didn't like it. There's like barely any syrup in it. And when I ask for extra it's too much. I've tried the avocado toast, which felt like it needed something, but I also had the truffle avocado egg sandwich which I was scared about but ended up saying I would order it again. I would return, still making my way through the menu.

We had a good lunch here. I'd sent them a message through Yelp to confirm that they also had decaf coffee and they said, yes. But when we got there, the grinder was out of order so I couldn't get any decaf. That was my only disappointment -- not being able to try their coffee. The small restaurant is located near the old Office Depot. There is a big parking lot out front. When we got there, they were quite busy with lots of people lined up for to go orders and dining in. In the front near the order/pay counter are several two top tables and a banquette along the wall. Past that in the back are some regular tables. We were able to get a seat there. After ordering, our food was delivered to us at our table. We both got their salmon avocado toast, but I asked for mine without onions. The toast was very good. Open faced, the bread was well toasted and crunchy. It held up well to the thin layer of avocado. There was a nice amount of smoked salmon on top of the avocado with capers and fresh dill sprigs sprinkled on top of the salmon. The dill made everything taste so fresh. For a relatively new venue, they are already doing quite well -- and I predict will continue to be popular with all the business folks in the neighborhood. You might want to plan to come early or a bit late to beat the busy lunch hour.

New neighborhood Coffee shop to try. My wife loves iced DECAF Americano and even called ahead to make sure they had DECAF, she was told YES. Easy parking in front of the closed Office Depot and large lot. They were busy with other customers waiting on the side seats for their orders. We checked over the menu and we both wanted the Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast, mine with everything. My wife ordered her DECAF Americano and was told that their coffee grinder was broken and they could not make her DECAF coffee... we had bottled water. We found a table and waited for our orders to be completed. After a reasonable amount of time our food was brought to the table. The Smoked Salmon Avocado Toast had generous amounts of salmon and fesh Avocado. Mine had pickled onions, fresh sprigs of dill and capers. Quite a tasty and satisfying lunch! We will be back when their coffee grinder has been repaired and they can make Decaf...

Drip coffee you know they got that drip It was busy, but quite frankly worth the trip I waited for quite some time Ordered the two popular drinks to see if they were a dime The sticky situation and burnt ritual Two drinks that really touch your soul The sticky situation was probably the better of the two Have to let it iced down to enjoy or it might be too sweet for you Ambiance and vibes were great But something about it was just a 4/5 for my rate

Starting off the review strong with the cutest handle on their door! That's what caught my eye initially, once you walk inside the aesthetic is so beautiful. They did such an amazing job. I loved the whole set up with the decor and tables, it truly makes you feel like you are somewhere else! As for the drinks, we tried their purple rain, the burnt ritual, and their special for the month, which was a pumpkin Horchata. All three were delicious, however, my favorite was the Matcha and I am not typically a Matcha person! It was very creamy and had a good balance between the Matcha and the milk and I loved the toasted marshmallow on top. As for food, we tried their almond croissant and the banana bread both were very good! I can't wait to stop back in and try more of the drinks and food. If you are thinking about stopping in, this is your sign to check them out!!!

Drip Coffee @dripcoffee Ft. Lauderdale, FL Finally got a chance to swing in and so happy I did! Loved the vibe of this spot! Everyone was so nice. Here's what I had: The Burnt Vitual Avocado Toast Banana Bread Everything was good! The energy from the matcha lasted all day and I loved the torched salted marshmallow and marshmallow cream. Loved the pickled onion on the avocado toast and the bread was fresh. And Loved the banana bread! It was warm and had chocolate chips in it yum! I found this adorable coffee shop by happenstance when leaving my hair appointment. It was the soft opening of Drip and I caught them about 30 minutes before closing. The inside is cute and clean with a simple aesthetic. All of the drinks looked delicious. I opted for the Salty Gal after reading 'pistachio mylk infused with salted pistachio butter'. They offer the option to choose from espresso or ceremonial grade matcha. I went with the espresso. This was a creamy, slightly sweet with a little bit of saltiness pick-me-up I was looking for. The staff were friendly and happy to accommodate my food request even though they were preparing to close. Thank goodness! The Pesto Turkey sandwich was on point. The sandwich was served on toasted bread with roasted red peppers, fresh pesto, arugula and aged cheddar. So good and it was big enough to split if looking for a smaller portion. Very happy I decided to check the place out. I love when I'm pleasantly surprised with delicious food & friendly service!

Drip Coffee has been on our list for a while now and we were happy to finally give them a try. Timing is important because had we arrived 5 min later we would've been eating our breakfast standing up with how busy they got. Keep in mind we went on a Monday before noon. The barista making our coffee served mine unshaken so that I could take an "aesthetic photo" which was appreciated. But truly, the photo didn't do the coffee justice. I opted for the Salty Gal and my husband went with the Sticky Situation. If you're a pistachio lover like myself, please do yourself a favor and order the Salty Gal - it was delicious! For food, I went with avocado toast while the hubby got their spicy ham and cheddar sandwich. Both were made to order and served in cute little to go boxes (even though we ate them right then and there). They sell branded shirts inside with cutesy sayings that coincide with their logo which was cute.

Really good coffee & nice staff. The spot is kind of random but all together it's good. The ambiance is nice too but just not super welcoming in my opinion. I would come here just to grab and go. Latte was a little sweet but overall it had good coffee beans and I would order it again.

I came here on a Monday morning (do this to not have to wait) and there was no line. As soon as we walked in we were greeted, everyone was very friendly. I ordered the sticky situation & miso moody. While it wasn't my favorite coffee ever, it was presented great. So much detail goes into the coffees. Next time, I will try the honey bear coffee. They have a lot of seating with a lot of people working on their computers. They also have a big parking lot.

    Burnt Ritual & Sticky Situation
    Taylor A.

My friend and I heard about this new coffee opening and were super excited to try it out. The inside is aesthetically beautiful, as is their drinks. I love that the honey latte comes in a little honey bear container, and some of their drinks have a toasted marshmallow on top. The presentation itself is 5 stars. However, the taste of the drinks does not match. I ordered the sticky situation, and while it looked delicious, it didn't taste that way. For one, they don't mix the drinks so I was tasting straight espresso the whole way back home until I could use anything to mix it. It also tastes like absolutely no syrup was added. My friend ordered their burnt ritual drink; she loves matcha, but this one also tasted very bland to her. It looks like it's still super popular, as there was a line out the door, and while their drinks are super pretty, the flavor didn't live up to the hype I was expecting.

New coffee shop alert! I was their first customer this morning, I anticipated that there would be a long line if I went any later. Upon my arrival I was greeted with warmth by the staff. I was amazed with how clean, modern and chic this place was. I went over their drink menu as I need my morning coffee. I needed help and I asked this lovely lady who was taking my order what is her recommendation. She asked me what I liked and based off my preference- she recommended the "Sticky Situation" I loved my drink. It was the right coffee to sweetness ratio. The coffee had a fruity taste. I can't wait to go back to try more of their menu items.

A roaster bearing the name of…read morean Indigenous people -- the Calusa, the ancient shell-mound builders, the unconquered lords of South Florida's mangroves and waterways. People who never surrendered. People whose bones are folded into this very soil. As someone who walks through this world carrying Taíno blood and the memory of peoples whose names colonizers tried to erase, that word hit different. It wasn't a gimmick. It wasn't a logo. It was a declaration -- that this land has a story older than any espresso machine, and somebody here understood that. That understanding alone earned my curiosity and my respect before I'd even stepped through the door. "The name carried the weight of a people who never bent. That's the kind of legacy worth building a roastery around." Then I learned the story behind the man behind the roaster -- and it only deepened my respect. Luis Arteaga came home from serving in the United States Marine Corps and did what so many veterans do: he looked for work. No fanfare. No red carpet. Just a man with discipline in his bones and calluses on his hands, trying to find his next mission in a civilian world that doesn't always know what to do with people like that. He found his way to the original owners of Calusa Coffee Roasters. They saw in him what the Corps had always seen -- dependability, grit, and a willingness to learn. They gave him a job. A floor to stand on. And Luis did what Marines do -- he didn't just fill a position, he grew into something greater. Over time, through sweat and dedication and an unmistakable passion for the craft, he rose to become the owner of the very roastery that once took a chance on him. That's not a business story. That's an American story. A veteran's story. And it's exactly the kind of origin that makes a cup of coffee taste like something more than coffee. CALUSA COFFEE ROASTERS IS A SOUTH FLORIDA INSTITUTION Fast forward to today, and Calusa Coffee Roasters isn't just surviving -- it is a staple. Walk into the right cigar bar on a Friday evening and someone at the table will mention the name. Sit down at the right diner counter on a Tuesday morning and a regular will nod toward that familiar bag. In South Florida's rich, layered, cafecito-and-culture coffee landscape, that kind of word-of-mouth is earned over years of consistency, of showing up, of never letting the cup get small. Luis continues to build something that belongs to this community -- rooted in the terroir of a region as complex and layered as its people. The coffee is exceptional. Bold where it should be bold, nuanced where it earns it. The kind of roast that makes you sit down instead of rushing out. That's no accident. That's someone who respects the craft because he was forged in institutions that demand nothing less than your best. "When a Marine finds his mission in a roastery, every bag he puts his name on carries the same standard -- do it right or don't do it at all." Meeting Luis was one of those moments I didn't expect to move me the way it did. We are both moving through the coffee world trying to build something that means something -- something rooted in identity, in service, in the belief that what's in the cup should tell a story worth hearing. And here was a fellow Marine who had walked a road I recognize: uncertain ground, earned footing, and a refusal to quit. And finally, if you are in South Florida and you have not made the pilgrimage to Calusa Coffee Roasters on Commercial Blvd, you are overdue. Go for the coffee -- stay for the story. And if you're lucky enough to meet the man himself, shake his hand. He earned it in more ways than one. To Luis Arteaga and everyone at Calusa: thank you for carrying a name that honors this land. Thank you for honoring the service that shaped you. And thank you for a cup of coffee that carries the weight of all of it without spilling a drop. Semper Fi, brother. Keep roasting.

I tried a few pastries and loved how buttery, soft, and flavorful they were. If you're a bakery lover, this part alone makes the visit worthwhile. The desserts and pastries feel a bit upscale, and you can expect about a 15-20% price bump compared to similar cafés. The space itself is small, and it's really more of a grab‑and‑go spot than a place to sit and relax. There's no free tap water, so you're required to purchase bottled drinks, which may be a downside for some. The service was somewhat slow, though the staff was attentive once they engaged. However, the overall vibe wasn't very welcoming. A few long‑time customers seemed frustrated and even got up to complain after being ignored for a while, which was noticeable. Yummy pastries. Didn't see any stellar food. Our food was just average. We felt Café Brie on Atlantic had better food, but Chez has great pastries. Because of the limited seating, lack of water, and the uneven service experience, I'm not sure I'd choose to dine in. The drive‑thru or takeout might be the better option for enjoying their fresh baked goods without the wait.

Service is an energetically taxing job, so seeing someone be that warm and engaging with every person made me feel like I was about to have a great experience too. The second I walked up? She didn't look me in the eye once. I greeted her, asked how she was, and got a very boilerplate response that, in tone, felt like "please hurry up and give me your order." It was jarring, especially after seeing how warm she had been with everyone else. I wasn't looking for a full conversation, but from the moment I said hello, I felt like I was bothering her.
