Efficient is the best word to describe my experience. I appreciate efficient, (most of the time) especially for my fingers. A pedicure needs a little more love I think, but I haven't gotten one there yet. The man who did my nails, Vu, I think was his name, was very meticulous and careful with my fingers. The paint job was flawless. The only reason I knocked down a star was because of my 30-40 min wait. I did walk in, but the time I was told was a little underestimated. Next time maybe I'll try for an appointment? Either way, great place to get a quick, clean, nail job done. read more

Very nice nail salon. The ladies were very nice and very gentle with me and my sister. A couple of my nails were cracked really bad and she took the time to mend them back together. When we were done they gave us our buffer and nail file for a $1 charge to bring back next time. I really liked this because that meant they used fresh equipment on you. Usually the owner works on me.. The last time I went, another man filed my feet so hard that when I went home they cracked and bled. Today the girl who worked on me was pounding my legs. No foot massage, no callus removal. No hot wax. She did use hot wraps and a rock on my legs. The polish looks fabulous however she charged me $65. Their top package is $55 but they no longer offer it. So I chose the $40 package. read more

I got a pedicure and a manicure here and will not be going back, nor would I recommend it to anybody. The pedicure was ok. The gentleman who did it was nice and great to chat with. However, he didn't paint the top edge of the nail, which you really should do if you want the pedicure to last a bit longer. The manicure is what really ruined the experience for me. I told the woman the number of the color I wanted, and she took out the wrong one. She misread the number. When I pointed it out, she took out another wrong one. This one had most of the number smudged off. So I asked for the color samples back so I could try to show her. She gave me the color samples back but then made me put both my hands in the bowl so I couldn't go through them. Then she asked me what color I wanted, and when I said I didn't know yet, she told me to hurry. I chose a color and then noticed that she cut one of my fingers. She rushed through the manicure and left me with half the nails with rough edges and paint on the edges. The manicure definitely ruined my experience. After talking with my two friends who went with me, she cut the finger of one of my other friends, and she used the wrong color on one of them. Update: I have to go back in and change my rating to 1 star because it's 3 days, and there's lifting on my nails. It's gel, it really should be lasting longer. read more

The second time I came in with my sister. Great service and personalities of the employees. Great Manicure and Pedicure. I did make an appointment in advance. This was my second time here. The first time was a year ago& I got a full set of gel nails, they turned out great. This time I brought my 5 year old daughter with me who is very well behaved. The man working there, I believe Tony was his name was very nice & helpful, he even brought us drinks and a bear cushion to put behind my daughter's back so she could fit her feet into the water. Tony was great, but he wasn't the one giving us pedicures. Those were done by two other women. Both were rude and didn't say anything the whole entire time. My daughter asked for a heart design on her toes and was completely ignored & got a flower design instead. My toenails came out messy, and the lady didn't even add a clear coat on top. After she was done with my toes she didn't say anything, just moved and sat at another table. Horrible customer service! Will not be coming back. read more

This is my second time coming here. But the first time I was with my friend and we walked in and we waited for 5 minutes and they started with my friend and it was about 9:50 and I had to work at 11. But she was getting her nails done, then a couple of people came in and all of a sudden the lady that was doing my friends nails disappeared about 10 minutes into the nail process. And the guy came over saying that she went to go interview the people. So we waited and waited and waited. Then I checked the time and it was 10:40 and we waited for about 25-30 minutes and she never came back so we left. Then the second time, we came back to give them another chance, we both had a design we wanted and the lady did both of our nails and my friend didn't like them cause it felt like the lady didn't put the effort for the design. Afterwards it was my turn and I wanted a certain design from Pinterest and I showed her what I wanted. Then when she was doing my nails she took of my nails that I had on and made me bleed. Then when she was measuring the nails I want and she put the liquid on my nail and I started blowing at it cause it got in my cut and it was burning. Then she's like I'm sorry I forgot about the cut. But she was doing the coating and then I showed her the design again and she didn't completely wrong. She only did the tip of the nails and not the full nail. I had been here before several times over the years. This time was not a pleasant experience. I will NOT be going back nor will I refer anyone I know after the rude treatment I received. I was in the area and went in about noon on Friday and asked if they could take a walk in for a mani/pedi. There was only 1 customer finishing up with another tech, but my nail tech begrudgingly came out from the back to help. She acted annoyed with me from the beginning. She was not friendly. As she started my pedi she saw I had polish on my fingernails and asked if it was gel. I said no and she handed me a wad of acetone-soaked cotton and said "take it off." Seriously? I had to pay to take off my own regular polish myself? This was a treat for me and this attitude totally ruined it. But I took off my polish. Then I looked at the swatches of gel polish and showed her the colors I wanted for my mani. After at least 20 minutes passed and finishing my toes she said "move over there" and didn't even look up or at me or provide direction as to which station she wanted me to move to. I went to grab the swatch to remind her of the colors I wanted and she snatched it from me and said "I know what colors you want" before I even said a word. And you know what? She painted the the wrong color and when I politely pointed it out I got even more attitude and mumbling how that's not the color I told her in the 1st place. At this point 2 regular clients had showed up and were with other techs. Their experience was entirely different than mine. They were greeted with a smile and politeness. When my nails were done the tech just got up without saying a word and greeted a client. She then looked over her shoulder and told me my price to pay at the counter. This is by far the least enjoyable experience I've ever had. I will NOT be going back, and this had been my go to place for a few years whenever I wanted to treat myself. Save your money and go somewhere that will not only provide the service, but accompany it with an attitude that will contribute to the overall experience rather than ruin it. read more

I've been to several different nail salons around the valley, but none of them have compared to CT Nails. I have had nothing but good experiences here, which is why its disappointing to read the negative reviews. The staff is nice and accommodating and already know who I am when I call to schedule an appointment. I only get acrylic or gel nails and they are always good quality and well done. The salon is clean and well-kept and they have a large aquarium in the middle of the room which is a nice touch. I definitely recommend! read more

I really liked it here as I'm new to Boise, and it's right by my house. The first time I went the owner was super nice, and friendly, even offered me a drink.... well at the end I paid by debit card and received a stamp card which he stamped and told me to bring it everytime I come in. Mind you I paid with my DEBIT.. and still was given a stamp. well I went in today with my boyfriends mother and was raving about the place on how great it was, etc. So I go to check out with a gift card my boyfriend got me for Valentines Day from the salon (which he paid for with CASH so I didn't see it on our bank statement) and asked the woman to stamp my card I was given. She claimed they couldn't cause I didn't pay cash.... so I said okay. Even if it was purchased with cash? She said no. I said okay and moved on. The gift certificate was for $40, I only used $25 on myself and decided to gift my boyfriends mom with the rest which is $15.... her total was $50... so she paid the remainder $35 with cash, than asked for the woman to stamp her card. The woman tried to make up the excuse saying oh well you paid with a gift certificate.. like what??? She paid mostly cash and I surprised her with paying only a quarter of her total price. The lady eventually said ok I'll do it this time but I don't understand why I was given a stamp the first time when I paid with debit and now I can't get one with a gift certificate? I brought her there for a good experience now I'm not sure I'll be back. No point to stamp cards if you aren't going to give stamps for paying customers! read more

I had really enjoyed going to this place. The fills were awesome and seamless. However the service has really gone down. They rush you through and cut up your fingers with the files and drill. When asked to fix their mistake they again rush you and don't take the time to fix it correctly. I will be finding a new place to get my nails & pedicures! read more

I got the upgraded special pedicure for 35 and loved it. The gentleman did a great job making my feet smooth. The special came with sugar scrub and cool mask on legs plus a leg and foot massage. He took his time and did a great job. They offer you a water and soda and were very nice. Very relaxing, only negative was the football on the tv, but I enjoyed the tropical aquarium. read more

It looks to me like they need to improve their customer skills. Read the reviews. Decided to just pop in and ask for a fill. They suggested a new set of nails. So I said ok. When preparing for new tip, sanding off top of my nail, was beginning to hurt. After all completed. I got the bill and total was 31.00 dollars. 25.00 for new set, 5 dollars to remove, fine I get that and then 6 dollars for Emory board and buffing block. Surprised no one told me about that expense. So I tipped 3 dollars. The nail technician comments to owner about it in their language. I can figure out what your saying. Also I noticed that when anyone comes in for a service. They push for more services. These salons need to realize that there are plenty of other salons to patronize. Bye read more
