I don't even know what to say right now. I gave 4 stars because they do a great job, nice massage chairs, and clean/cute location. I scheduled an appointment the day before for a time as soon as they opened. When I walked in, I gave them my name, said I had an appointment for a mani/pedi, and picked out two separate colors for my hands and feet. My technician began right on time, and I explained I picked out two separate colors and showed her what I wanted on my hands and feet. She did a great job on my toes. After painting them, she set them on the edge of the tub and went to assist another customer. I thought, no problem. She's going to get someone else started and then come back once my toenails have dried. After sitting in the (very comfortable) massage chair for over 30 minutes, I took my toenail separators out, put my flip flops on, and walked to the register. I thought someone may ask about the manicure, but no...I paid, left a tip, and that was it. Maybe I should have asked to "speak to the manager," but I was honestly just trying to register what happened. At the end of the day, I have some amazing-looking toes, but feel frustrated at the interaction. read more

Now called V Nail Salon. Large staff so they can take u on short notice. Very clean and Covid conscious. A HUGE inventory to Gel nail colors. The also offer powder nails. Look at their website to see many artistically done nails. Very reasonably priced. Plain gels we're $35 + tip. My gal was so knowledgeable and I learned what I was missing with my local gal. These gels haven't chipped or popped off. Look stunning even after gardening. So sorry we were just having a short stay in Boise. I'd like to become a regular!! read more

Where do I begin. I've been debating between 1 and 2 stars and decided to do 2 to give them a little credit. I noticed Coco Nail Bar as I was driving down Overland road and then decided to read some reviews and for the most part the reviews were okay. I ended up walking in and was very impressed with the location and look of the salon. The salon appeared very clean which is a must for me. What I wasn't impressed with was seeing the guy that worked at the nail salon down the street by Subway. He once treated my friends and I so badly, we walked out and vowed to never go back to that place and we haven't to this day. Although he was still there, I still decided to give Coco a try since I was already there. I decided to get a gel pedicure and gel manicure. While I was getting my pedicure, another lady walked over to do my manicure. I explained I didn't want the drill used on my nails because I have super fragile nails but she didn't understand me. I had to keep telling her until another nail tech decided to translate to her what I was saying, at which point they both started laughing. This seems to have upset or offended them and all went downhill from there. When I was checking out, that guy I talked about in the above paragraph was trying to push me to use cash. I didn't have any cash and insisted on my debit since it clearly states they take visa. He told me in the future there would be a charge to use visa. He then gave me a coco nail bar punch card but only gave me enough points for a $30 manicure. When I asked him why I didn't get points for the pedicure, he told me they would show up later...insert eye roll here. I am not dumb and I watched you put in $30. I wanted to get out of there and didn't feel like arguing with stupid. Needless to say, my gel manicure chipped instantly the following day. I wanted to give them one more try and see how they would handle a request to fix. I called and talked to the same guy again and he told me to come in to have them take a look but that there would be a charge. Yeah, no thank you. Never spending another penny at your location or any location you own. Overall, I think this will be a bad establishment until the guy that works there takes some lessons on manners and stops lying to customers and makes his employees take some English lessons. read more

Just awful. The worst customer service. They aren't very friendly and it feels like there's no passion for what they're doing. I had my nails done here one time and the next day my toe nail chipped (gel) and 3 days later 2 of my nails (dipped) chipped. When I went back, the lady who did my nails didn't even ask why I was back so soon. Just a really unpleasant experience. I was SUPER impressed with my overall experience at Coco Nail Bar and left with gorgeous nails. However, the same evening I got my nails done one broke off. I wasn't doing anything crazy just stuff I normally do and my pinky nail broke off the same day I got them. Not a biggie, they were closed so I went to another salon to get it fixed. When I got home, I was unloading groceries and my second nail (pointer finger) popped off. So two nails gone not even 24 hours after my appointment. I'm super disappointed because I loved the place and I loved my technician. But I spent $120 that day ($100 and a $10 tip to both my nail technician and the lady who did my pedicure). I'm now scared to apply any pressure with these nails for fear that more will pop off. I've been getting my nails done long for a very long time and this time I went with medium length. Very Bad service they do a terrible job at there pedicure they don't do the whole cleaning in your toe nails they just wash your feet then , do a quick job at "cleaning your toe nails" even when they're not even packed , in the 15 years I have done my nail I never had green spot after talking my nails off they probably use old glue bc the lady was having a hard time taking the glue out to put the nails on me very terrible. I made an appointment to get a gel pedi ahead of time, and showed up on time. They had me sit with my feet in water for almost 30 minutes until someone came to work on me. The girl that was working on me barely acknowledged me. She kept messing up by putting the nail lamp directly on my toes so it would ruin the polish. She then would just slightly file the part she messed up. She asked the male, who I think is the owner, for help but he was very rude and unhelpful, didn't even look at what she was doing, and just told her to use a different nail polish. Instead of removing the polish and gel completely, she just painted over it so it left very obvious ridges. She also didn't cover a large part on my big toe where she had filed. Once she was done, she said "okay you're done", stood up and walked away. This was the worse pedi I've ever gotten and the worse service. read more

Honestly took a chance because a friend recommended this place to me but save your money!!! When I walked in there was only one person there getting a service and they still took forever to get started. They did my toes and nails at the same time and rushed both of them. My nails look awful and aren't symmetrical at all. I wanted a pink tip and they're just not precise at all. To top it off the lady cut my finger open with the nail file. I won't ever be back! The man on the phone was very friendly and was able to make a short notice appointment. I got there a little early and everything was fine. The lady who did my nails was not very friendly. I tried to make conversation but stopped after a couple of attempts. I actually prefer the quiet, but the silence felt a little awkward this time. As she was filing my nails, she hit a spot on my thumb that hurt, so I pulled away and then she did it again. I stopped her and told her it was tender. The problem was that she had glued the nail to the skin on my thumb and she was trying to file it off in that area. After I told her a second time that filing that was hurting, she picked up her scissor clippers and just cut the skin away from the nail. Then there was blood. Instead of cutting the glue/nail, she cut my skin, so part of my skin was still glued to the nail and was pulling the cut open even more. Now, my thumb is very sore, and I have a cut along the side of my thumb nail. She didn't say anything about it and just finished the job as if nothing had happened. I couldn't use my thumb at all for a couple of days and ultimately had to gingerly pry the glued skin off the nail so that it could heal properly. She still charged me full price and I just wanted to get out of there. I will never go there again, regardless of how convenient it was. read more

The one and only time I have made an appointment with this nail salon, I didn't get seated until 30 minutes after my appointment time, and my nail tech was on twitter the entire time. A grown man on twitter..guys I can't make this up. The quality of my nails was so poor. I went two days and then 3 broke and by the end of the week I was missing 5. When you get your nails done and pay 50 dollars for a service, you are relying on the integrity of the nails to last more than 5 days in my books. 3.5 stars-based on two different services and providers, and a long wait. A very nice salon and feels clean. My pedi technician was on time and took her time. It was about an hour long. They had a basic pedi option for $20 and add on $5 for each option. I added on a massage which was about 1 minute of light rubbing. Had I known that, I'd have passed. She did a nice job, not all my nails were trimmed evenly, and polish was quite thickly applied. I'd come back again, but would not pay for the massage and probably ask for a different tech. 3 stars for my service. We were not asked if we wanted a beverage until I was done and waiting on my daughter. That was a nice touch to offer. My daughter got acrylic nails and the man that did them, did an amazing job. She did wait 20 minutes past her appointment time to be seen, and the tech she started with isn't the one she ended with. She was quite happy with the results. I waited 25 minutes past my appointment time and walked out. They don't even care if you make an appointment or adhere to them. Some of us are on time constraints and they have no regard for that. I was acknowledged once in the 25 minutes that I sat and waited for my appointment to begin. Within the first 5 minutes they told me it would only be a few minutes and they'd be with me. 20 minutes later still nothing and none of the employees looked to be even close to finishing with their current client. I made an appt for my sister in law and I at 5:00. The gentleman over the phone was very nice. I was excited to go as this was my first mani/pedi in a year. My sister in law is visiting from out of town and we were able to get away from the kids for a bit. We walked in at 5:03 and the gentleman almost seemed as though he forgot about our appts. Asked us to pick a color as they filled up the foot basins for us. We used the restroom, sat down in the spa chairs, waited for 30 min, no one acknowledged us, no one bothered to let us know they were running behind or when they would be with us. At 5:30 I said we would just come back another time, the gentleman said "ok". That was it. No apology, no attempt at an explanation. Nothing. I was shocked. I said out loud, "is this the only coco nail bar?" Thinking maybe I called a different location by mistake. No response. I asked the girl who brought my SIL a towel for her feet, "is this your only location?" She was smug and nodded her head "yes". I have had plenty of unsatisfactory customer service experiences in my life, and have never felt compelled to write a review. I have been in the beauty industry for almost a decade and know how crappy poor reviews can be. But this service was unacceptable and uncalled for. I had made an appointment for a full set. When I got there I didn't even get a smile or a hello. A girl just told me to pick my color. The salon looked dirty. The customer service was nonexistent. My nail girl didn't say anything to me. Not only was she rough with my nails, she did a horrible job. I initially chose a nude color but she said it was empty. I picked a light pink which was very light. It needed a couple coats to really see the color. The shape looks really weird and the color looks bumpy. Worst acrylics I have ever gotten. read more

Super cute and clean - made an appointment for a pedicure, but ended up waiting almost an hour before anyone even started. The girls were chatty and friendly once they actually got started. Unfortunately I won't be going back - all my nails are crooked, some longer than others, some got filed at an angle (??) and others straight across - just kind of a careless job, plus I wasn't even asked how I wanted them cut. The massage was just alright, there was no pressure to it at all, and again I wasn't asked about that either. For the amount of money I paid and being there for 2 hours I would expect a 'perfect pedicure' and it didn't even come close to that. I thought this was a good salon based on the reviews but my nails chipped 48 hours later. When I mentioned that the gel is too thick I received a comment about the fact that all gel is like that. Well it's not. Also the two tecns that sat next to us were gossiping the whole time about other customers. Made me wonder if they would after me. Cute nail salon! Went in to get a new set and when I got there after soaking and get meting the acrylics off my nails were paper thin. The nail tech and I didn't want to damage my nails and I'm thankful he said something. I'll be back for regular polish but for now I have to let my bails breathe and get strong again! Found this place last winter driving down Overland, and it was super clean and cute inside. It had been the best place, at the time, that I had found to do a good job on a simple pedicure. Over the last few months the customer service and service itself has definitely declined. This last time will be my final time going. As I didn't have an appointment I walked in and asked how long the wait was, I was told it was just a couple minutes and too just pick my polish color. As soon as I had picked a color they ran hot water in a foot bath and had me sit and soak my feet. I soaked my feet for over 30 minutes and still had no technician. The technician working on my neighbor said she would be with me in just "two minutes", but as she was still in the scrubbing phase of her pedicure I knew it would be longer. She then proceeded to go from my neighbor to another client a few seats away and back to my neighbor, not once did I see her wash her hands or replace gloves. At this point I was getting ready to walk out, but that's when the tech finally came over after washing her hands and began to work on me. read more

Really disappointed with our mani/pedi's. The salon is attractive and the technicians were nice enough, but the services were really subpar. Pedi was okay, though nothing to rave about. My mani was ok as well, though my nails were not shaped well and the edges were rough. My daughter's mani/pedi was rushed & not good. She didn't even do cuticle oil or hand cream during her mani! My daughter was too polite to mention how dry her hands felt. This seemed expensive, mani/pedi' $42.50 each and w/ tip, total was $105. Totally not worth it! read more
