Why can't i give ZERO stars? 1 star is not deserving!! I have been to the this salon 3 times and all 3 times was with the same younger guy that works at the salon. First nail experience was great (time wise) i was in and out of there in 30 min. They guy however is definitely moooody!! He is a major bitch. Second time I asked for ombre nails he seemed so mad about it and said NO go to someone else! He said I can do french manicure but again I hate doing that! The 3rd time I came in my husband and I scheduled Pedicures and was going to do them after I got my nails done. So when I got to the salon and sat down he asked do you want them shorter? I responded yes please, and I have a few nails that are close to breaking off and seem rather thick. He cut one of the nails down-off and said this is not thick this is thin and I didn't originally do your nails from the start so maybe you should go to somebody else. I said well, I am fine if you want to take them all off and start over? His answer was NO go to someone else I am not doing your nails! I said WOW ok! Uhhhh my husband and I have pedicures here today, he said cancel them... I said Ok.... And left! So many other salons in Boise with happy, friendly people willing to do your nails and make money! I called to see if they could fit me in, and they said come on over. I had only been there once before and got the same gentleman. He was fast and professional. I got a tickle in my throat about half way through and got one of those itchy coughs-not good anywhere in public!!! I asked for water-he brought be a bottle and a paper towel and back to business we went. He is quiet, but his work in impeccable. Great pedicure! And easy to schedule even on a short notice! Would definitely go back for my next appointment!

Location was convenient to where I was running errands so my daughter and I popped in. The wait was short for our pedicures and they were friendly getting us set up with colors and water temperature. We asked for the basic option with nail art. My towels were not very warm and the foot massage focused more on the top of my feet. My daughters tech seemed put off by adding a flower and my tech ended up finishing them for her. The massage chairs were great for relaxing and overall it was a good experience. read more

The staff was awesome but unfortunately my pedicure only lasted five days! I rarely get my nails done because we don't have the budget for it but I was due with my third baby and wanted to treat myself. Usually a pedicure will last 3+ weeks but this one peeled off in five days. Super bummed!!!!! read more

Worst pedi I've ever gotten. While I was in there 2 seperate customer's came in because their nails had chipped off whithin a few days. One was on her wedding day, they stopped everything they were doing to fix her nails, which wasn't terrible. I sat in the massage chair for an hour before I was even helped. Then my nails started chipping within 3 days, haven't had time to go back. I have s newborn which is why I paid some one to do my nails. The prices were higher than most. Part way through I saw the nail tech add what appeared to be nail polish remover to the top coat which would explain why one foot is terrible and the other is alright. If my pedi or nails are not done by Mylihn (who is currently not there) the service is just so-so. I've been here frequently for the past year and I've never once been asked if I'd like a beverage, didn't even know it was offered! The salon IS nice and clean and staff seems professional, however I have found a brand new nail salon that just opened. Why am I switching? They do NOT charge .89 for using a debit card nor do they ding you $1 for the toe spacers to take home. That's pretty tacky. ....AND extremely friendly with multiple offers of a beverage while being pampered! Sorry Sky Nails, you lost me. read more

Had a good experience, very gentle especially when trimming cuticles. The woman who did my nails was younger and very nice. Only thing i didn't like was the polish job, missed some sides and the tips of nails, otherwise the shape and arch were perfect. She took her time as well read more

Really felt the need to get my nails done one weekday evening and was able to be seen right away by walk-in at Sky Nails! My technician, Linda, was wonderful. Friendly, efficient, and skilled, she did a wonderful job on my French tip gel manicure. The price couldn't be beat either, $30! Went for a set of nails. Unfortunately I will not be back. I got my set done about 1 on Friday afternoon, by Friday evening 2 had already broken and come off, and now on Tuesday, 3 more have broken and come off. I've been getting artificial nails done for over 20 years, and have never had more than 1 break, so to have 5 break in less than a week is poor quality. Usually when you remove your own nails they are difficult to remove and you have to soak in acetone, these nails you can literally rub off by using another finger. Not only that, but that male tech, wong, the owner, is the one who did them. If this is the quality the owner is giving you- what do you expect from everyone else? I also got charged additional money because wong chose to use gel overlay to do the whole set because it was 'easier for him." He didn't ask if that was ok or not, he just did it and then when questioned told me it was his preference to use gel overlay, but then he charged me additional because he used it, when really all I wanted a typical set of acrylic nails. They also charge you .89$ to use your debit card. Not really the end of the world, but when you've already charged me 45$ for a set of nails, I feel like you as a business owner should eat that cost as a business expense. Im sure most other businesses also are assessed a fee for running debit cards, but this is the only place I've been to that passes that expense on to me. read more

Nail techs are very professional and great At their skills. Say no to man working on you. Wait for experienced nail tech or reschedule. Otherwise you will be there for hours. I visited sky nails on at least 2 occasions (8/22/16 and 10/31/16, according to my credit card statements). The service I received was good, however there appeared to be a turn over in employees each time I visited. I noticed that pedicure bowls were drained, but not cleaned, prior to filling them for the next customer. I also noticed files being used on more than one customer. This is unsanitary and is probably what led to Sky Nails receiving a "C" rating on their most recent inspection. read more
