My mom had her eye exam last Wednesday. They had "encouraged" her to buy the glasses there. Luckily she misplaced her FSA card and didn't make a purchase. Upon coming home, she realized she never got a copy of her new eye prescription. So I called that very same day, inquiring for a copy. They said will send it via email. Today is Monday, I still have yet to received the copy of the eye prescription. Not only both the ladies I talked to on the phone raised their voice on me when I asked for the "when". And they claimed that other optometrist runs the same time frame of releasing eye exam prescription. I beg to differ since my family and I been to eye Dr. since we were young. How is it that we have to BEG for a copy for our prescription? What kind of business it this? This is only our second year here for my whole family and parents, but surely will be our last we the way they treat us. Horrible customer service! Supposedly I have an appt this Friday. I found this place because of Yelp, so here's my review from my experience: Crystal Vision provided Excellent customer service The staff at Crystal Vision are super friendly and attentive. They make sure to keep you updated with your prescription details and make you feel at home. I had an issue with one of the lenses of my glasses and they were quick to fix the issue and call me to keep me updated with the lab and status of their arrival. Dr. Adhikari is very sweet and patient. I love that she genuinely cares for her patients. She's very quick at her job which shows she knows what she's doing :) I loved every minute of my experience here. I'll definitely be making this my primary optometry office. Dr. Adhikari is very personable and helpful. I am a long time black frame glasses wearer and recently wanted contacts as a back up. She also happens to be a Contact Expert and knew a great deal on everything about them. You can tell she has passion for what she does and she is also extremely seasoned in her field. I was in and out within an hour, and that was including the 30 min tutorial of my contacts. Her support staff is great as well, Barbara, Brittany and Madi? Hopefully i got those names correct ladies. When choosing a doctor's office to go with.. for me, the staff's customer service is just as important as the doctor itself. That's why I'm giving Crystal Vision their deserving 5 stars. Barbara, the manager, was friendly the moment I stepped into the office. She's also very resourceful and experienced! When I had questions regarding a specific frame model, she didn't hesitate to go above and beyond in searching to make sure it was the correct one and gave me a great price on them. Got an appointment over the phone, picked my day and time that worked and was good to go. They take VSP so I decided to use them, as they had the best ratings on Yelp. For good reason. The receptionists were always very friendly and polite. I was always greeted when entering, and after my first visit they even remembered my name on site. Amazing! The Doctor was very professional and polite. She took time during my exam to make me feel as if she was not rushing through our appointment and explained differences between my last prescription and my new one. She offered me some trial contacts which I didn't like after a few days, we switched to another type without issue. After having plenty of time to trial-and-error my way through which type of new contacts I wanted I placed my order through their office as their prices were better than 1-800-Contacts or Costco. So yay for shopping local! I did think their glasses/lens prices were quite high, even with my insurance, but I'm also a full-time student right now, so take that into account. They also did not carry Nike brand frames which I prefer for their slimmer/sleeker design, which was disappointing as I did not find another brand/style I liked. But again, this is personal preference, and not a reflection of the quality or selection offered here, both of which were generous. I can't imagine why I would need or want to go/look anywhere else for an optometrist anywhere else in the area. This place was top-notch. read more

Love this place! My family has been going here a few years now and they are always friendly and helpful. They will always fit you in the schedule. I don't have insurance and the prices are reasonable. You can get an eye exam and a pair of glasses for $99. (Of course, not the name brand ones.) I had been seeing Dr. Wong for a few yrs & now the new Dr is really nice also. She is very helpful. I always recommend crystal vision to family and friends. The front end staff is wonderful, the ladies always help me pick out the cutest frames. I had a incident about a couple years ago where I bought sunglasses and one of the lenses kept falling out. I was really sad because I fell in love with them. Barbara offered to exchange them or send them back to get fixed. Since I loved them so much I decided to get them fixed. Even though it happened a few times she would send them back everytime the lens would fall out. Worse experience with an optometrist. I have been wearing corrective lens for over 40 years. They took my money gave me a prescription I am not happy with. I asked for them to redo the exam and the optometrist was rude and unhelpful. I paid for contacts I never received. There was always an excuse. Front office girl (young) is snotty and not helpful. Office manager backs the optometrist. $600 paid and received $1 worth of service. I will not go back and will not refer. Terrible I cannot do less than a star. Terrible... read more

Iv been going here for the past 6 years! Unfortunately due to a job change I had to move to a different city. Since my new optometry needed my old prescription I was scared I would have to travel back. However when the receptionist promptly picked up my phone call at 9, she explained that she will be able to take care of everything within compliance. I was so happy that I did not have to drive over 100 miles. Called to make my first appointment and the lady on the phone was very nice. She let me know that since I'm a first time patient I can fill in my forms online so that my visit would be as short and sweet as possible. When I showed up for my appointment (early, for once) the two people (a young lady and a young man...didn't catch their names) at their desks were super nice. Asked me several times if I was okay and if I wanted any water while I waited. The Dr. Was also very nice and informative. Made the visit as easy & enjoyable as an eye axam could be. The eye Dr was informative, but she also felt like she was trying to sell the entire time. She felt extremely pushy. I thought the customer service from the counter girl was good, on the day of my first initial appointment. The day of my exam, the dr said i would get a pair of contacts to try for a week until we found the pair i loved the most. She gave me what SHE thought best fit me, and when i went for the 2nd pair to try she said id have to pay again. I ended up buying what i was used to. So fast fwd to 2 weeks ago, i went in to purchase frames this time. I grabbed a few to try on and the girl that takes the info down, the shorter girl with glasses, was soooooooooo annoying! She kept telling me which frames SHE liked the most, which ones SHE liked the best on me. And then started bringing sunglasses. We move on to the table so i can make my final choice. Shes still going on about what she likes... and shes saying "try these one for me again, ok try these on". It was over bearing. And i not once asked her for her opinion! I tested her out and acted like i was getting something then changed my mind and then Started to agree with whatever my body was saying. She felt like she was trying to rush me to make a choice. Once i go back to pick up the frames... im trying them on and they were extremely crooked, i set them on the table and one leg was obviously higher than the other, she says to me "some people have 1 ear higher than the other" LMAAAOO!!! She went back several times to "adjust" until i was content. I think that over all the place is nice and clean... they have an ok selection.. their staff needs more customer service skills. There's an older tall woman that i wish would have helped me. I exchanged a few words with her and she was very friendly and calm. Also. Im not sure if im out of line, the girl at the counter with the glasses never looks presentable. She doesnt fit in with what they sell. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I have been a customer at this location, before Dr. Adkikari took over. Since she took over this business, It has become less appealing each visit. Being, that I only visit once a year, I didn't see the logic of changing optometrist. Last year, I had my children visit, 7 and 3 years old. The staff was extremely unprofessional. If you do not know how to handle children, do not offer this service. Children have a hard time sitting still, the staff was lacking the patience that is needed to deal with children. I ordered a pair of contacts, and waited 2 months for them, then I was only given one eye supply. (my eyes have different prescription in each one) and it took several months to get this situated. I was handed trail pairs and was pretty much sent on my way. My insurance was charged for contacts, though I got the amount I needed I do not think It should have been the trail pairs. This years experience has taken me over the edge! My only advise would be that she train her staff efficiently, before she goes out of business. I scheduled my initial appointment for 3pm, the day of my appointment, I was called at 10am, saying that the doctor had an emergency come up and would have to leave, and asked if I could come in at 2pm. (which, I get emergencies happen, but if its an emergency why are you able to work half the day?) Then they called back and said they could fit me in at 3pm. The following week, I was schedule to return for a check up on my contacts. Very similar situation happened 3 days in a row! How does something come up each day at 3pm. Finally I was told that she needed to leave to pick up her son... As a stay at home mom I can 100% understand putting your child first, the correct situation would be NOT to schedule some one at the time you are unavailable! -- On another note, My husband also paid for polarized sunglasses, when he put them on he realized immediately they were not polarized. He was given a box that said Polarized, but the glasses were not!!! the employee (I believe his name is Jonathon) said, they were definitely polarized. We let him know that we would be in the next day with the glasses to show him that he was incorrect... about an hour later we get a call, and they did not order his glasses polarized, but put it in a box that said it was! that to me is fraud. Needless to say, we will not be conducting any more business here, and strongly believe neither should you. Again, as you can see, I gave this company a fair chance... She gave me some real feedback about my eyes despite my complaints -- she's a straight (shooter which I appreciated}. Came to Crystal Vision Optometry to get a new prescription, was told it would take no more than one week to receive my glasses. It is going on three weeks now and I have yet to receive them. The staff has been unhelpful, especially a staff member by the name of Jonathan, who I felt to be very condescending and rude. He was unresponsive to my inquiries about my glasses, and has consistently told me tomorrow, tomorrow tomorrow- it's been three weeks. This place is seriously awesome. I went for my first appointment ever at this office about a year and a half ago and I liked the place so I called on Monday to schedule an appt. for a new eye exam. I thought I was going to have to wait a week before I saw the Dr. but they were able to schedule me for the following day, Tuesday, in the morning. I went in for my appt. (about 10 mins late) but I only waited for about 5 mins. before I was called in by the Dr. who came out to shake my hand and show me to the room. He was very thorough and polite. He explained every procedure before he did it so I knew exactly what he was doing. He examined my eye thoroughly and asked if I had any complaints about my contacts. I had forgotten about some concerns I was supposed to ask about but he was able to point them out and give me a prescription. He even took a look at the glasses I was wearing and gave me a new prescription for them. Overall, he was very friendly and he did a very good job. The ladies in the office were really nice. One of them helped me out in choosing a frame style and gave me her opinion which I thought was really nice of her. She even offered to order a new color for one of the frames I liked so I could see what they looked like. They were so nice to me and so helpful I decided to make an appt. for my mom so she could have her eyes checked. We've had trouble with other eye centers in the past but i'm sure she's going to like this place. Plus their prices are really reasonable! What I thought I was going to spend on just my exam, I'm now going to be able to use to pay for my mom's exam too. 2 exams for the price of what I thought 1 exam would cost...that's a REALLY good deal! Good Experience Recently went to Crystal and was very pleased with the entire experience. Dr. is awesome, answered lots of questions and taught me a lot. Technology is good. I found the staff very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. In my opinion and experience, the only short-coming they have is the inadequate frame selection. I actually purchased a so-so frame due to lack of choice, and I also walked out of there without a copy of my prescription. I am happy I chose this place :) The staff was very accommodating, nice and sincere. They provided me a high level of customer service which I appreciated and answered all my questions. I was able to fill out paperwork prior to my appointment which made it quicker. I went in for an annual check up and I was in and out within the hour. They had me try on a different style of contact that I was not used to and was able to try out different ones (at no additional charge) the following week. The only reason i went there was because of the positive reviews on yelp. I went in (with insurance) to get 2 pairs of glasses (one regular and one pair prescription sunglasses). My out of pocket cost for the 2 pairs was about $700. I even provided the frames for the sunglasses. The wait to get my prescription glasses was about 3 weeks. Then I found out that my sunglasses were not ready due to some type of lens breakage. I felt that i was overcharged considering I used my insurance. More important, is the fact that once my sunglasses were ready at almost 5 weeks, they had spots on the center of each eye that would not wash off. I went back and told them just to take their lenses back and refund my money, to which they said no. They said they could redo the lenses which i reluctantly agreed to. What other choice did i have? When the sunglasses were finally ready at about 2 months, they had four computer/laser etched permanent markings on the lenses. Wont go back.... Told my brother who needs glasses to go elsewhere. read more

Well, look and appearance are not paramount, the key is that he is super courteous, kind, detailed, honest, and most important of all, knowledgeable. I brought in my own frame and just got the lenses fixed, Dr Wong and the staff were never pushy in selling you anything. I got reading glasses as well and they are well prescribed and perfectly fit. My experience with them was very unlike these 5-star reviews. The staff was unprofessional. The tech got my prescription wrong and so I had to wait 4 weeks total before having glasses that worked. The tint on my prescription sunglasses was red; I asked to have it changed, and got it back 2 weeks later, only slightly less red. (Who wants red-tinted glasses??) My daughter got her glasses at the same time, with no problems.... until her eye appointment today, at a different office. The new optometrist said her glasses, which I paid $250 for at Crystal Vision, were the lowest prescription that could be written for eyeglasses, and that she didn't really even need that. He did not write her a prescription today and sent us off with a clean bill of health, so-to-speak. I didn't know any better, and trusted Crystal Vision, and got ripped off for $250 (not to mention my troubles with my own glasses.) What's really disappointing about this is that I came here, hoping to avoid the poor service and high prices of Lenscrafters. No such luck, I guess. UPDATE: I responded to the reply by this company and gave them 6 months to respond. They never did. Don't believe the words of apology and offer of refund. It never came.
