Ok so all these bad reviews make you want to think twice about going here. They complain about long…read morewait times and rude staff etc. First the appointment time is not unreasonable long take in kind of they have to dilate eyes it takes about 30-45 min just for that. Second how is the staff rude if you are waiting in your car lol I'm assuming people go up to the staff to complain and therefore get a rude response such as it's in the papers you signed lol. The staff was not necessary super nice but they aren't rude they are doing their job. I had no complaints was there for 3 hrs and it went by fast . The only thing I didn't like is that my son is autistic and after the torture of getting the eye drops in to dilate his eyes he wasn't hesitant to let the doctor see in his eye and the doctor seemed frustrated. Now we were the first appointment so it's not like he had a bunch of clients not cooperating all day lol. I understand not everyone understands children with sensory issues. I arrived 7 mins late which would be part of the grace period. There was a line with about 6 people in front of me waiting to be checked in and one receptionist. I waited 17 mins to get checked in. Then the receptionist says, I am late to checking in when I arrived at 12:07 and waited for 17 mins in line and there's a 15 minute grace period. She gave me another appointment time for 2 hours later. They need to define what they consider "grace period" in the text reminders and voicemails they send you or they shouldn't add it in the first place. The doctors we have seen have been nice and great. But receptionists need more training and better attitudes. It's also very hot in the waiting room and not enough space for people to wait in there. Everyone mostly waits in their cars. For a children's "institute" they need to make some changes.

Instead of showing concern or even speaking with me briefly, the office refused to engage until my insurance card was provided. In that moment, it no longer felt like a relationship with a healthcare provider. It felt like a retail transaction--as if the first priority was whether I could pay, not whether I was okay. This was especially disappointing considering I did have insurance and was fully able to pay out of pocket if needed. The lack of compassion and basic care in a moment of fear was a huge letdown. I never went back after that incident, and I moved my entire family's care elsewhere. Once healthcare starts feeling transactional instead of human, it's time to leave.
