I found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try for my annual exam this year. I'd been…read moredebating switching optometrists for a while, so I was encouraged when I saw the reviews. First, the staff is very friendly and professional. From the phone call to make the appointment to greeting me upon my arrival, I was impressed. The location is also bright and spacious. I saw Doctor Yu. He was so sweet. He was very thorough and even gave me a miniature biology lesson on my eyes. He explained everything, didn't rush through the exam, and put my nerves at ease. I was very impressed with his bedside manner. However, I was very uncomfortable when my eyes were dilated. Typically, I've received numbing drops to counter the stinging side effect from the dilation drops. I didn't receive that here. I felt like the doctor used a large amount of dilation drops and it was really painful. My eyes were pretty much dilated for the rest of the evening. They did supply some pretty cool little shades for my eye glasses to protect my eyes from the sun once I left. I also was disappointed they don't offer a vision field test during the routine exam. Finally, I was surprised that I was charged a sitting fee for my contact lenses. I questioned this since I've worn the same prescription for about a decade and they were even keeping me in the same brand of lens. I was told that the charge is only once a year. Yes, well, so is the exam. I didn't receive any additional service or benefit from this fee, it was just an additional charge. I'm not sure I'll return here for my next exam, which is a pity because there were some very big positives, but also some sizable negatives from my experience.

So of course I was going to do my shopping. I get a call back at 11:20am saying they are ready for me. Almost an hour later than my appointment. So I finished checking out and walk back (this was at most 2-3min). And they said I should sit at the chairs and wait. After I sat for another 5-10 min I noticed the person with the 11am appointment inside doing their exam. How are they going to let a person with a later appointment go ahead?!? And they claimed they tried to call me and the call didnt go through and the 11am appointment person was sitting there. Complete BS cause im using target wifi and have wifi calling and had 3 bars. The person on the phone also mentioned that their 'system was down' and couldnt contact me. I did the PAPERwork with my number on it... they didnt need a computer to get my number. They are just using that excuse. Why offer to call when they are ready for me when they arent and are just gonna let people ahead of me. I left after waiting 1 hr and 15 min cause thats some bs. They said it would take another 15 min. So only come here if it you want to wait 1.5 hrs
