THIS PLACE IS AWFUL, TREATS CUSTOMERS HORRIBLY - - 2010-04-30 This salon is awful. They took over 2 hours to do a manicure/pedicure for me and a friend. The massage was decent, and they were friendly. HOWEVER within minutes of painting my friends nails, the polish started to bubble. She did a light pink, I did a coral pink. They do not take good care of the polish, and they glop it on, so it bubbles. After we noticed hers, we started watching mine and sure enough it started to bubble. Mine was not too bad at first, so I didn't ask them to change it. Hers continued to get worse so she asked them to redo hers, and they did it with a different color. This is now THREE different colors. On the drive home, both of our nails continued to bubble. Within hours of leaving it looked like we had touched each nail on sandpaper. I went in to request a refund, or even HALF of a refund, not including gratuity. I paid 35, tipped 7. I told the guy I would even accept half of the 35, 17.50. Tony Nguyen is the owner. He told me no refunds, he would re do the polish only. He would not listen, he yelled at me, told me he didn't need this crap. Finally, after a regular that was there told him that she agreed with me that he should process a refund, he agreed to give me a refund, and called his wife to ask how. I could hear her yelling into the phone (he was standing beside me and didn't even try to conceal her voice) that I did not get a refund, several times yelling "F*&@ HER", he hung up and told me no refund. He gets off the phone, continuing to be rude to me, saying he just wanted to relax today and doesn't need this crap. I told him that I heard his wife say "F HER" and he said he can't control his wife. Finally, tired and frustrated, I told him I would settle for a product. I left with a $29 set of Matrix Shampoo, still a $12 loss on my part. I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THAT SALON AGAIN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT read more

Everyone here is super friendly! But the only person I let do my finger nails is Tina! She knows exactly how I want them and does them perfectly there are some people there that don't know what they are doing though. read more

I've been here twice so far. The first time I just got a manicure with polish, which was $15. (I wanted neater looking nails because I had a job interview the next day.) They had the right price, got to me quickly even though I just walked in, and it wasn't very posh - which would have made me uncomfortable. The technicians were all exclusively Asian-American or of that descent and all spoke a language which I can't place (because I can't differentiate between non-romantic or germanic languages). That was a little awkward, but I had no sense that they were doing it to exclude me, and it didn't feel rude. The second time I got a full set of acrylic nails - which took longer that I thought it would, knowing nothing about nails - which was $40. They got me right in to sit down even though I just sort of showed up again this time, offered me refreshments, and the tech this time was very sweet. She asked me several times as she did my nails if I was happy with the shape, etc. and again before I paid if I was happy with how they looked. To me, that is priceless - seeing she cared whether or not I was happy with the service and the results. I'd definitely go back again. read more

They have no set prices. I went and got an eyebrow wax and it was $10, a few weeks later I went and it was $15 and when I made a comment on how I paid $10 before the lady didn't say anything. Then she crossed out the tip line on the credit card receipt. So I would assume she charged me the extra $5 as a tip for herself. When I got home I called and asked how much an eyebrow wax was and they said $10. When I asked to speak to a manager they told me the manager is only there early in the morning before they open(which is hard for me to believe), but I still tried calling early the next morning and no one ever answered. I will never go back there and definitely would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. read more

Both my husband and I have been going to Paradise Nails for 8-9 yrs. Even though we make appointments (every two weeks) they have walk-ins and get to them asap. Someone made a statement that services she didn't want were given to her.....well if you didn't want them or ask for them stop them and don't have them continue....different types of pedicures. Someone else stated they were talking a foreign language...yes they were...they are Vietnamese so that is what they speak amongst themselves but talk to their customers in English. I or my husband have NEVER had one problem....he on his mani/pedi and me on my pedi/fill ins. I will continue to go to Paradise Nails as long as I live in Plano and have/would recommend other people to go here also. read more

first off i want to say that i've been to this place 4 times! so i've given it a lot of chances already. the first time i went here was for mothers day and i got a regular spa pedicure and manicure for 35 dollars by an older gentleman. he was good and i really enjoyed the massage and it was enough for me to come back for a second time which again costed about 35 before tip . but the third time was awful!!!! an older lady with glasses did my pedicure this time and the whole time she kept upsaling me on wax and drawing on my toes!!! i kindly declined yet somehow walked out of there spending over 45 dollars with designs that i did not ask for. i even asked her who the owner is and she told me that they were not there which i had a feeling she was lying... and about this last time i wanted to walk out because she was going to do my pedicure but i thought i'd give her another chance but again this time i told her i did not want wax on my feet but only my hands and somehow got wax on my feet and french on my toes even though i had brought my own color! when i told her i did not want french she told me that the french looks better because my nailed was a good length whatever that means... i thought that i finally found a salon i could trust but boy was i wrong! this place will take your money and not blink an eye! stay away from this place! read more

I don't know that I've written a review before in my life, but I just got my nails done here tonight and it was probably the best manicure I've ever had. Wish I knew the name of the fabulous lady who did the job! My nails have never looked this perfect - I get my nails done every 2 weeks (gel polish), and there's always a little mistake made, a touch of polish somewhere it shouldn't be, a small fleck of cuticle left uncut..but not tonight. I went here simply because I was in the area and had an hour to kill. I will for sure be back! read more

Many of my friends (a majority I have referred) have also become devoted loyal customers. Tina the manager goes above and beyond to meet each and every single need of their customers guaranteed satisfaction. I've never seen such a dedicated business woman who works so hard at achieving a very professional and friendly business that's assures their customers are satisfied and happy with what they request, not to mention the standards she holds behind their work. Their fairness in prices are hard to beat and they do not rush through any service which they perform. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the services, the quality of the highly trained personnel, the friendliness, the relaxed atmosphere and overall cleanness and extended sterilization as well as the high end products in which they use for their services. I do not recommend - they charge $5.00 extra to remove the dead dry skin off your feet - very strange, most places include this in the pedicure. Isn't that one of the reasons to get a pedicure? She exfolidated one leg but forgot to do the other, I must have been asked 5 times if I wanted my brows waxed or colored. I felt like they were trying to do nothing other than take more money out of my pocket. I went to Paradise nails with my friend for my first pedicure. She's a girl, I'm a guy. We walked in and she told the lady that we both wanted a pedicure and she didn't even try to hide her reaction, she glared at me curiously up and down. Another lady came up behind her and they started speaking in their language and they both looked at me and kept talking. I had no idea what they were saying but I think it's safe to assume they were talking about me. I decided to ignore it and get it done anyway. The lady doing me would hardly make eye contact. When she had a question, she asked the other worker and the other one asked me. I told her that she can direct her questions to me and she sort of did but still didn't speak much. The actual pedicure was okay. I don't have any other times to compare it with but I feel like it was mediocre. My feet were pretty soft when I put my shoes back on but when I went to bed that night and felt them they felt like they always do and the softness wasn't there anymore. But like I said this was my first one so I wasn't sure what to expect. My friend was pleased with her pedicure as far as I know, but I sure wasn't In short, I wouldn't recommend this place, ESPECIALLY to a guy. read more
