We've been going to this school since they were in Fullerton, and they've always been great. My daughter started with Mr Nori and he's one of her favorite instructors. She's gone through a few instructors and we've never had a bad experience. My son now attends the school too. This morning, my daughter had a make up class and had to go into a different swim lane with a new teacher. She's been apprehensive about leaving her current school and starting kinder next year, and the emotions came out today. She started crying and holding onto me when she saw the new lane and instructor and said she doesn't want new things. Within seconds, Mr Scott came over and began comforting her asking if she'd like to see her other instructor Mayumi. Mayumi wasn't even dressed to go in the water, but rolled up her jeans and sat in another lane with her. Mr Nori came by to say hi and comfort her, and Mr Christopher gave her a private lesson for a few minutes while she adjusted. He eventually asked her if she wanted to join him in the new lane with the new instructor, and she said yes and was happy the rest of the time. Mayumi also came back to check on her. This is the level of care any parent looks for in a school and I highly recommend coming here.

The motion activated splash pad was a hit with our 7 yr old while he waited for his class to start. The swim suit dryers and plentiful changing stalls are very convenient. The viewing room is also a very nice added touch to the facility. All the instructors have been great over the years at Fullerton and we were told we'll see some at the Placentia location as well. They are located in a large shopping center with plenty of parking.

In the summer, the pool is 50 m, that runs from shallow to deep. There are also a few lanes in the deep end (13 ft) that are 25 yards. In the winter, they reconfigure the lanes so that they are 25 yards (shallow water) and 33 yards (from 7ʻ to 13ʻ). Overall the pool ranges in depth from 4ʻ to 7ʻ and 13.ʻ It is open year round for lap swimming. The other pool is a shallower pool, used primarily for family swim, and swimming for kids in the summer. They also use it for lessons and swim practice for the kids. They have designated hours for public lap swim in the big pool from 12 - 3 PM, M-Sa, and also include Sundays in the summer. Be sure to look for the FAST swim program website in order to reserve and pay for a lane for lap swim. In the summer, the community summer day camp programs come and use the pool, usually from around 11 - 2. There are lifeguards. If you are doing lap swim, itʻs recommended taht you know how to swim. Lap swim tends to be very busy, and most of the people swam in high school or college, many of them during 12 - 3 are older. Basic swim equipment: fins, paddles, kickboards, goggles, are allowed to use as part of your lap swim routine. Swimwear attire. Overall, itʻs a very nice facility. It could use some facility upgrades, like shaded areas where people can towel off in the hot summer months, and where others can wait. It could use more regular cleaning of the locker rooms especially in the summer, when there should be restroom/locker room attendants. It could use more signage, and graphics, and the check in for everyone using the pool should be located near the entrance -in its own building, or a ticket booth. Itʻs a great place.

We came on Wednesday evening for the 'night swim'. Much less crowded than during the day. They also had the concert at the park series going on at the adjacent park, which was nice. We mostly stuck to the smaller pool, because the bigger one was more crowded. The water is warm at both pools, which is also nice on a cool summer evening. Staff at the front desk were friendly. Bathroom could be a bit cleaner, soggy toilet paper on the floor is kinda gross, even though it wasn't used. The showers provide soap to wash off the chlorine before you head home.

My daughter is a more experienced and skilled in swimming than her friends who has never taken any lessons. Apparently, if you dont ask to advance your child to rhe next level, your child will stay where she is. I found this out from other moms. The person who is in charge has no time to watch these young swimmers because he always watches and focused on the advance swimmers. Stopped by yesterday evening for a 1.5-hour hot girl walk with a friend, and it checked all the usual boxes. It has that easygoing neighborhood feel that works just as well for a book club meetup, a picnic date, or a jog if you're in that 5k/marathon phase of your quarter life crisis like my friends are.
