Make sure you bring sunscreen!!! You tan faster in water than on land bc the light refracts! #science lol But seriously, bring your own because there isn't any emergency sunscreen to borrow

My son had been training with FAST (Fullerton Aquatics Sports Team) at this location since July. He seems to love it more than where we were before. This pool is nice and clean. The sitting area for the parents is scarced, as such, I have to lug my own lounge chairs and find a spot on the grass. The women locker room is quite filthy. I seriously avoid it if possible. Parking is plenty. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping centers near by when I want to escape the heat for a couple hours. I would recommend this place if you want to learn how to swim. All of their instructors are certified through SwimAmerica, the official lessons programs of USA swimming. 3.5 stars - lack of sitting area and dirty locker room.

    The main office.

Ask the Community - Janet Evans Swim Complex

Do you guys open for lap swim during Saturday?

Yes. From 12 - 3. M - Su in the summer, M- Sa in the fall, winter and spring.

Can I enroll my 20month old for swimming lessons? If so, how much and how many sessions?

I'm looking for an outdoor pool to swim laps at in the Fullerton/Brea area. Is this place good for that or more for families to splash around? Is it really only open for 2 hours every day?

Hi, we are open for the summer weekdays from 11:30-2:30 for adult lap swim, and 12:30-2:30 for recreational. Over the weekend we are open adult lap swim/recreational from 12:30-5. Please check our website for accurate times, we have our entire… Read more

I don't usually review parks, but did this time because I knew that this beauty was not getting the flowers that it deserved. Stopped by yesterday evening for a 1.5-hour hot girl walk with a friend, and it checked all the usual boxes. Clean, well maintained, plenty of mature trees, and wide paths that make it easy to settle into a good conversation without constantly dodging people. It has that easygoing neighborhood feel that works just as well for a book club meetup, a picnic date, or a jog if you're in that 5k/marathon phase of your quarter life crisis like my friends are. An unexpected highlight for us was catching skytyping that was announcing Olivia Rodrigo's new album, "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love," which is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026. We were craning our necks for a cool 20 minutes trying to figure out what the message meant and I didn't figure it out until looking it up on Reddit when I got home. Not exactly standard park entertainment, but definitely memorable. Also worth noting, right across the street we came across a full Zumba class happening in a small private studio. Apparently it runs every Thursday evening with a $7.00 cover. If you're into that kind of thing, it could be a fun way to switch things up. All in all, Pearson Park knocked it out of the (local) park. It was interesting enough for me to consider adding it to my future routine and will absolutely be coming back.

There are many large trees around that offer very good shade. There are nice walk trails around the park but I would not advice to venture late at night as some parts of the park are not well lit.

We ended up ordering a 4th pizza because teenagers eat a lot. The water park has very strict rules about what can and cannot be brought into the park. There's a kitchen you can order food from and concession stands. There are ins and outs of the park so if you're on a budget, you can leave the park, have lunch somewhere more affordable and then come back. The party host was very nice and was very thorough in explaining everything. We went on a Saturday and it was VERY busy. I'm thinking that if you want to beat the crowds visiting during the week might be best. If you don't have reserved seating there are spots with grass with shade and first come first serve chairs everywhere with umbrellas. I plan to come back but definitely during the week when it's less busy.

What exactly am I paying for?…read more Seriously. I purchased a membership for lap swimming, but the reality is that members are constantly competing for access to THREE lanes. Not an entire pool. Three lanes. And apparently the expectation is that up to FOUR adults can share a single lane. Four. There was a day when a third person joined my lane and that was RIDICULOUS. Four people sharing one lap lane is not a quality swimming experience. It's overcrowding disguised as a membership benefit. Then there are the limited hours. Which I was initially fine with until everything else. There are the swim lessons and you will be removed from a lane if the instructor needs the lane you are already in. Then there is the jacuzzi, which seems to spend more time closed than open. I swim three times a week and I honestly can't remember the last time it was available. At this point, why advertise it as an amenity at all? And today I find... the facility is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a swim meet. The only notice given was a piece of paper taped to the door. A piece of paper. In 2026. Members provide phone numbers and email addresses when signing up. Why collect that information if you're not going to communicate closures that eliminate nearly half a week's worth of access? No email. No text. No notification. Just drive over and find out when you get there. The most frustrating part is that none of these issues exist by themselves. It's the combination of all of them. Limited hours. Limited lanes. Overcrowded lanes. Frequent jacuzzi closures. Priority given elsewhere. Unexpected facility closures. Poor communication. Yet the membership price suggests you're paying for a premium aquatic facility. You're not. For less money, I can join a gym with a lap pool, a functioning jacuzzi, longer operating hours, fitness equipment, and significantly better availability. City of La Mirada wants to charge premium membership fees while delivering a consistently limited experience. The entire operation feels incredibly cheap. Cheap communication. Cheap availability. Cheap member accommodations. But somehow not cheap membership prices. If members are expected to share three overcrowded lanes, lose access for entire weekends, receive no meaningful communication, and watch amenities remain closed for weeks at a time, then management needs to answer a very simple question: What exactly are we paying for?

During the day on Saturday there was definitely rowdy adults in the adult pool getting over poured and were day pass users. Not the end of the world. I liked our room! They should give free lockers though to hotel guests as well for the sauna and indoor facilities instead of additional charge. Our bed was comfy but only gave us 2 towels. I called 2x for new bathing towels and never got them. Our room had the TV remote behind the dresser when we arrived and ended up finding multiple remotes lost back there! Our room also didn't have the room service badge so we weren't able to put that on the door to request room cleaning. I would recommend more through housekeeping and adding a water station near building 7 & 8 as we had to walk back towards the spas to fill up our water bottles for the night. Overall, I still recommend coming here and would totally do the overnight stay!
