I called Crystal Plumbing for an estimate of a repipe and a placement of a water service line. The estimate that was given was reasonable and fair, so I got to add a few more things that I wanted to get done. To me this was big job. Don't hesitate to use this company. Noticed a weird smell in the garage & discovered soot on the front of our water heater. Called Crystal Plumbing yesterday morning & spoke w Dave who then requested pictures & that our propane guy check the regulator before determining if it was the water heater itself. Amazing!! Our heroes!!! I will have to make an update once the work is complete but they were responsive and so kind! They came within just a couple hours of us calling. They came by our house on their way home after a full work day to check out our bursted pipe situation. They quickly investigated, problem-solved and gave us the run down of our various options and their relative costs (though we don't know actual numbers yet.) And they were able to restore our cold water so that we can have a semi-functional household! For a girl who hasn't had access to running water in 24 hours this was a miracle! We had a water leak on the outside water main. Dave returned my call within an hour and came out the same day to take a look. He was honest and forthcoming when he inspected our leak. Our house was built in the 40's and the pipe is very old. He said he would try to fix it, but the pipe might just break apart. The whole water main might need to be replaced. Dave returned two days later and repaired it! It held and we are very happy with his work. And he was very reasonably priced. I really appreciate the help these guys gave me. I was at ace hardware trying to figure out how to unclog a deep-pipe rice clog from the kitchen dual sink. The issue that I was having was a poor designed under cabinet kitchen plumbing where each sink had individual pipes that went into the wall and connected behind the wall before going down the main drain. Drain snaking under the sink was only pushing the snake out of the other end of the sink pipe and the clog was deep down in the main pipe. James and another guy with him overheard my conversation with the ACE hardware associate trying to help me and stepped in and offered some advice. They told me about a possible washout pipe outside the wall that may solve my snaking problem. When I got home and checked, they were 100% correct and I was able to snake down and after 25ft, I got to the clog and unleashed a day and half of frustration on it. Clog destroyed in minutes. I really appreciate these guys stepping in and offering friendly professional advice when they could have just walked away. Definitely will be on my list of plumbers to call if I have plumbing issue I can't fix myself. read more

You can stop looking for a plumber right now! Crystal Plumbing, Dave and Jake are awesome!! I don't typically write reviews, but in this case I felt the need to for a couple of reasons. One, they were honest. Two, they were reliable and took care of my problem fast. Three, they are a family run business with old fashioned values. I recently moved in with my 73 year old mother and 96 year old grandmother in January 2018 to help my mom care for grandma. I noticed a horrible smell when I would come over and after moving in, it drove me crazy. I thought it was a gas leak from the hot water heater in our back bathroom. We had PG&E come out, twice, to check and nothing. The PG&E guy said it was a sewer leak under the house and to get a plumber out here. My grandfather was a plumber and owned his own business and he always told us to get three estimates when having work done to the house. Crystal Plumbing was one of three that came out. I called one day and they were here the next day, it was not an emergency that required immediate assistance, it was just a smell. Dave came early in the morning and checked the main bathroom line and it was all clear, something another plumbing company said was not clear. He couldn't get to the other side of the house due to a very small crawl space so he said his son, Jake, would be out this afternoon after he finished another job. Jake came and was just as friendly and professional as his father. He began to go under the house and I asked him if he was going to put on coveralls like the other guy. He said, well what did this other guy look like after he came out from under the house? I said he was clean and had nothing on him. Jake's reply was, "That's all I needed to know". After spending time under the house Jake sat at the kitchen table with me and my mom and explained to us exactly what was wrong, we had a leak from the kitchen sink. The smell was not raw sewage like the other two companies told us, it was standing water with rotten food. He explained to us that because of old pipes, the house was built in 1963, they had just corroded away and needed to be replaced. He told us that obviously food particles get down the drain and because of the leak it ended up in a pool of water and just sat there rotting, putting of fthis gassy smell. He told us there was no raw sewage and he wasn't sure why these other two companies told us so. Now I hope your sitting down because this is the best part, the estimate. We were quoted $8,000 from one very large, well known company throught the valley about a month prior, which was a loose estimate. We had this company back out as one of the three estimates and it went down to $5,600. After applying for credit through this company we were approved for $5,000 and the guy went outside to call his boss and came back in and said, "my boss said we will do the job for what you were approved for", like they were doing us a favor! Red flags were flying!! A second well known company came out and this guy told us we needed a restoration company to clean up the "raw sewage" before they could really get under there and give an accurate estimate and he left. When Crystal Plumbing came out and gave their estimate I almost fell off the chair, it was $1,200 to $1,400!! He said it would be the low amount unless he needed to replace one more pipe. He wouldn't know until he dug it out because half of the pipe was underground. Jake told us that if we chose to go with another company not to pay more than $2,000, anything over that was not necessary. Jake explained that he would be putting some enzyme product under the house and that the smell would be gone in a couple of weeks at most. Jake said that they were getting ready to go on vacation the following week, but he would check the schedule and see if they could squeeze us in before they left. Sure enough they did and the smell is gone! It's not often you find a company like this with values and morals and above all great customer service! We are so very happy with the work done and will only call Crystal Plumbing for any future plumbing needs. read more

I have used Crystal Plumbing for years. Jerry was always friendly and did a great job clearing our lines. Back in August our water main sprung a leak. I called Crystal and found out that Jerry has retired. Dave took the call and was able to come out with James and they did a temporary fix to our water by running a hose from the meter to the house. A couple of days later James and Bob came out and out a brand new line from the meter to the house. My wife and I were happy with service and price. I felt like Dave, James and Bob knew exactly what they were doing and were fair. We have had bad experiences with other Plumbers over the years. Not only cleared clog but adjusted the pipes, changed out a piece of pipe incorrectly installed and adjusted the faucet (fixing another problem causing leaking). We have had to replace our water heater. These guys were great. They were in and out in just 3.5 hours. They suggested we install a recirculating pump. We did this and now the time for getting hot water at all of our showers and sinks is much faster. In the kitchen it used to take about three minutes of running the hot water tap to have hot water now it is less than 30 seconds. This saves water and gas as we waste less hot water. We got bids from Bonny and Bell brothers, their prices were more than twice as high. One of them told me their projects are calculated on an hourly rated of $300 per hour. (Advertising is expensive). We spoke with two other companies, one did not get back to us and the other was 50% more than Crystal. I would strongly recommend these folks. The were polite, professional and extremely fair priced. read more
