Walked into this shop today and halfway greeted by a lady in the first chair closest to the front door. She made a terrible first impression when she rudely asked how she could help me. I asked her if I could get a manicure, to which she replied, "I don't have the time... I'm fully booked". Mind you there are 3 employees standing around while she works on the only client in the whole place. She also never asked if I had an appointment. I had to ask her again just to make sure my ears were working right lol... "You're fully booked"? Completely comical. I left right out shaking my head, but not before telling her to Have a blessed day... with an empty shop and selling what looked like dusty counterfeit purses she should be more humble and welcoming to customers. Maybe she just wants big ticket customers? (I'm a great tipper but she wouldn't know that by turning me away) Or maybe she doesn't want brown skin people in her establishment. Loved this salon. I went for the first time a week and a half ago. I had a morning appt on a Thursday. Prices were very reasonable. I got a combo mani and Pedi with cut down for $46. The service was very polite, professional and thorough. I'm new here in Allen. Didn't care for some of the Google reviews I was reading of other salons near me. I asked a cashier at the store for a referral for a good pedicure, as bad she suggested this place ... Not on any Google reviews. As a retiree, I appreciated this calm and wonderful service. Hadn't had a pedicure in 6 months. The nail practitioner did not make any rude comments about the condition of my toes. I hadn't done much but cut them down. I plan to go there every month. My mom has been coming here for at least 15 years and I'm not far behind her. Such a sweet, family run business that always does wonderful work. They are short staffed so I definitely recommend making an appointment, as it's not super walk-in friendly but you will be so pleased with the results (and prices) love this place! Once again, this is another place I do not recommend. They do not wash the foot spas in between customers. This grosses me out. They got busy and 4 walk-ins came in at once. I watched them as they refilled the foot spas with water and did not wash or rinse them out. Nor do they have plastic liners. That's freaking nasty! No liners, no cleaning. Not sure why I was so stupid to even come here. Please people, be aware of what your walking into. Normally, I wouldn't say anything and keep this info to myself. I'm embarrassed that I was so stupid and didn't do additional research. Grateful for this platform to call out bad business practices. Because, of this witnessed shortcut, this foot spa is now a breeding ground for fungal and bacterial infections. I'm pretty sure the tools she used were not sterilized between uses. I'm grossed out by this entire day spa day. Buyer beware. Being spontaneous is not always a good idea. Especially since the standards are different in other countries. One of the best pedicures I have ever had and they don't charge a fortune to do them.

The lady who did my pedicure did a fantastic job; however, the male nail technician made my cuticles (on 4 of my fingers) bleed several times (never bothered to help clean up the blood), grabbed my wrist and slammed it down on the armchair whenever it was time for the nails to dry, and dropped the brush on the floor and never bothered to clean it before proceeding to use it on my nails. Although the prices were reasonable, I don't plan on returning to Crystal Nails solely based on my experience with the nail technician. read more

I stopped in right before closing time on a Saturday evening after 2 acrylics popped off while driving. I asked if they could fix them and repaint them. They were eager and quick to do so. After looking at my nails they said they were in bad condition (the girl before didn't do so great) and they told me it would be $30 to get gel nails which are better. So, I agreed and let them do it. A woman started it and she caught my cuticle really badly. She soon moved me over to a man named Danny who said he was the manager. He was very quick and skilled. My nails look amazing. The only complaint I have is that they seemed to have a very heated argument among all of us. I am not sure what was being said but it was clear there was some hostility and anger which is not really something to be dealt with during business hours among guests. Danny caught my finger on the under side once too. I am still a little sore from them and have left photos on this page. I had a pretty nice experience and would recommend them. I feel that it would benefit them to keep their quarrels private and to slow down and be a little more careful with their tools so no one gets any "owwies". :) read more

Under different ownership now. The pedicurist I had was friendly, with superior service. The manicurist was mad, didn't make eye contact, impersonable (I don't think she said 2 words to me the whole time I was there.), didn't ask me how I wanted my nails shaped or what length I wanted (she just did what she wanted without giving me a choice), & was rough & burned me with the drill. I left with lumpy nails & color on my fingers. I told them I won't be back. read more

She does a wonderful job, especially as I have a birth defect with my left arm which makes doing my nails difficult. The salon is lovely and everyone is especially nice. The was once my go to place for nails. The new ownership has been a change and I don't like the way they are handling their customers. Last Saturday a poor woman had the wrong credit card and it was declined.They agreed ( through an interrupter )she could leave a copy of her ID and an IOU note.She left her phone as collateral. She went home to get a copy and when she returned- the owner had changed his mine. It was cash or the phone. She was begging to be able to use her own phone to make calls- to cancel the credit card or just get someone to bring her the cash. Instead of working with the lady he would let her use his phone, which then he put her calls on speaker for the other customers to hear. I can remember her asking him nicely not to broad coast her information to other customers. She was upset over the phone and the credit card and it was seemingly just for the cost of a set of nails. Tony my regular guy is a gem and does wonderful work, but with credit card fraud it could have been me put on the spot. I am looking for somewhere else to go where the owners isn't there running off customers or as the other two reviews mentioned- just basically rude. read more

Walked in for the first time in about 5 or 6 years, three days ago. I asked for nexgen and eyebrow wax. The guy doing my nails was rude and yanked my arm multiple times. If I told him he was hurting me, he glared at me and continued doing what he was doing. As I went to pay, the young lady helping me said "didn't you want your eyebrows waxed?" And I did but they forgot and I was going to be late for work if I didn't leave then. So fast forward to two days later, two of my nails start to come off. So I come back to have them fix it and to finally get my eyebrows done. They burned my eyebrows and took off a piece of skin. And this time a different guy did my nails and was just as bad. I told him multiple times he was hurting me and once again I got more glares. There was a hair stuck to one of the nails he was fixing and he had no plans of getting it so I got it myself without messing the nail up and I got yelled at. They were unprepared and went on a wild goose chase for a base coat and they have two children running around yelling. I will never be returning here again and I suggest no one else does either. read more
