I never have to check my nails to make sure it's to my liking because I already know that it is! They have recently remodeled the salon, totally fitting for the name "Fancy". I got an upper lip wax here the other day and got 2nd degree burns on my face. I went on Wednesday and today, Friday, I am still bleeding and it burns. The lady put *rubbing alcohol* on my face PRIOR to waxing. Yes, rubbing alcohol. On my face, right underneath my nose. The fumes nearly knocked me out. Terrible experience. Someone needs to take another look at their license. read more

Walked in for the first time. I was not greeted and decided to just look past it. It took about 10 minutes for my acknowledgement. After that I was told everyone was completely booked and that they was no one to attend. I was not told I could wait. If not, I would have gladly waited till someone was free. I can understand if there are appointments but if you know this is a first customer why would you be so rude? I am never going to this nail salon. I have been going here for several years. I took four members of my family here for mani/pedis and for the first time was disappointed in attitude of female manager!! Each member of my family go services ranging from $50 to $75. I just wanted a regular mani/ pedi and manager tried to talk me into more services such as gel for my nails, a more expensive pedicure( which have gotten ridiculously expensive even if you just add a scent) and an eyebrow service. I declined and she was very snotty when I left. Very unprofessional. I won't go back!! read more

I have been going to Fancy Nails for 15 years and used to love this salon, but a couple weeks ago my mom and I set up an appointment and when we got there we were told by Tina that Ben was unable to be there because he was staying home with his pregnant wife. Both my mom and I were concerned because we had grown to be friends with Ben and his wife and we were worried that something was wrong with the baby. However, we have since found out that Ben's wife is fine and that Ben is now working out of a new salon in McKinney. Tina blatantly lied to my mom and I by telling us Ben would be back after the baby was born, when she knew this was not true and that the baby was healthy. Then yesterday, a friend of mine went to Fancy Nails and was told Ben would be back in 2 weeks. My friend also overheard Tina refusing to give Ben's contact information to a customer specifically requesting it. I couldn't believe that Tina would lie to Ben's customers and offer to do their nails while he was gone, in an attempt to steal them away from him. I will NEVER go back to this salon. read more

I've even witnessed management changes and they never missed a beat until my last visit. I'm extremely angry at the unprofessional behavior of a woman named Tina. I had an appointment with Ben but when I arrived Tina told me Ben was not available and that she would be taking care of me. I asked where Ben was and she informed me that he had to take time off to care for his pregnant wife until the baby was born. Of course this greatly concerned me as we had developed a friendship over the years. I have since learned that Tina blatantly lied to me. Have been going here for many years and will not return. The lady doing my toes cut my toe so badly it wouldn't stop bleeding. Then I let her wax my lip and she took the skin off the top of my lip. It swelled so badly I looked like I was punched in the face for the next 48 hours. I now have a scab above my lip that I hope heals. I will never go to this establishment again. read more

I have been going to fancy nails for years. Everyone was nice, knew me on a first name basis and I never had a bad experience until just recently. They got new management and Tina is really nice but I went in to get my nails done. I was getting a new set and wanted them "coffin shape" which is a hot trend right now. No one knew how to shape my nails first of all I went in knowing I only had 30$ so I just wanted the regular nail polish nothing fancy. Sonny was the one who did my nails. He asked if I wanted the powder and I clearly said no because they cost 35 and I didn't have enough. He ignored that and did the powder instead. I kept quiet because I figured that I clearly just said I only had 30 so that is why I wanted the polish instead so I figured he was going to do the powder but cut down the price. He cut my finger while filing, roughly moved my arm, ignored my request and did not know how to do the coffin shaped nails when I asked and had a picture to show them the whole time. Sonny left and let someone else finish off my nails and while checking out she told me it was 35 so I had to go to my car and scrape up 5 dollars in change. I told her that I had told Tina and sonny I wanted the polish but they ignored my requests. I am not satisfied with my nails at all. I will not be going back here. They lost a customer. read more
