I thought both were going to be major issues. I thought I needed an additional pump for the hot tub. And I thought the salt cell chlorinator would need at least a new motherboard, if not a complete replacement. Jaden did about 10 minutes of poking around and told me that 1) the pump issue was simply being caused by a rock that was jammed into one of the pumps, likely from the construction stage and 2) the salt cell was not receiving power because a previous (another company) technicians rewired it to a non-functional part of my panel. So, after an hour, I had fully functioning jets in the hot tub. A functional salt cell. And he even got my pool lights working. (I had never been able to use them and had given it up). So can't recommend this company and Jaden specifically any more highly.

I switched and after a year with this new company I can say this is not normal. They overcharged for everything. They destroyed plants breaking branches, lawn - pouring pool water on it (still can't grow back) and when the pump broke they said they'd maintain the water while we waited for repair. They not only didn't maintain it but I had to drain it 3 times in 2 months because they could even get the water balanced from scratch. They were also dishonest on occasion about repair and showing up. Nice people but not acceptable service. I caution anyone from working with these guys. It's expensive and the damage is even more expensive.

Thomas came by daily to review the work, as well as touch base with us in person to keep us informed of the process and what the next day's work would be. They had a good size crew to ensure the work was finished on time . When the first coping color we selected didn't turn out as we expected, they redid the coping in a different two-tone color and texture that we preferred, and at no additional charge. Thomas even sent out his color expert to help with this final color application. Both the steps and pool coping turned out beautifully. Thomas and his team were a pleasure to work with and we would readily consider Splash Pool & Design again for future pool and spa work. I was quite impressed with the Yelp reviews of Melo's Pools. I sent a quote request via Yelp and had a response within 10 minutes! Appointment was set for five days later. Albert and Pablo arrived to my home on time. They measured, took pictures and assessed the pool along with the pool pump system. We discussed ideas, timelines, finance options and they left me with a book that contained sample ideas. The following week I met both of them at their showroom to look at the actual tiles and find a match for the pebble. Albert and Pablo were great at making suggestions and giving me space without any pressures of making a decision, signing a contract, etc. A couple weeks later I signed contract and a demo date was set. The crew was on time the first day, and that stayed true until end of project. To no surprise there was a leak detected after opening up the plaster. Mauricio, the project manager, brought it to my attention immediately. He showed me the issue, explained what needed to be done, had a plan ready to go and with my sign off they had the issue fixed expeditiously and the project was kept on track. I called ClaroPool on Tuesday afternoon and after a very helpful telephone conversation with Chris Little (Maintenance Director) who offered to schedule a site visit the next day. Chris arrived exactly on time the next day and was able to quickly resolve our issue with the iAquaLink app. He also managed to change app settings to solve a challenge that previous pool technicians told us was not possible. In a time when "customer service" does not seem as good as in past years, I was greatly impressed with Chris and the ClaroPool company. We will certainly call them again when new maintenance and repair matters arise. I highly recommend ClaroPool.

TL;DR- He gave me the tools to potentially fix it my self - I need acid wash and plaster fixes - and he certainly will get my business for any future pool repair - the value of helping me for free wants me to give him ALL my business.
