My pool is not a large one, and Bella still treated me like a flagship customer. Francisco was my main contact for all issues, questions, and walking me through every step of the resurfacing. Mario is the founder & president and took the time to visit my project site multiple times to ensure things were on track. Eduardo was my crew manager and was present most days when workmen were doing the heavy lifting. The entire project was completed on time with no detail left undone. And the price was very competitive with other estimates. Regardless of all the other projects Bella had in process, I never felt that those took precedent over mine. I don't claim to understand the complexities of my project, but I put my trust in Bella and they delivered.

Enjoying La Quinta Life in our beautiful Bella Blue Pool!

We can't say enough good things about Mario and the Bella Blue team. They not only built us a world class resort-like pool, they did it ahead of time and within budget. Furthermore, they worked hand in hand with our HOA to get approvals and were critical for completing our yardscape build. Finally, we also continue to use the Bella team for ongoing pool maintenance. Great service. We are happy to serve as a reference here or DM us for any additional reference questions. Thanks Bella Blue! Mike & Kim Rogers

We couldn't be happier with Bella Blue Water. When we began shopping for pool contractors, we spoke to five different companies. Although price wasn't the only factor, Bella's competitive rates really stood out. However, what truly distinguished them was the prompt and clear communication from Erika and Mario. Their responsiveness was faster and more personalized than any other company we spoke with. They were always willing to spend time answering our questions and seemed genuinely interested in understanding our needs. The contractors they use and their staff are some of the best and extremely professional. Our pool construction started quickly and was completed on schedule. We have had no issues since completion and are extremely satisfied with the result. We would highly recommend Bella Blue Water to anyone for pool and hardscape needs.

GORGEOUS!! We LOVE our new expanded pool & deck that Mario designed!!

We just had Bella Blue Water complete a major renovation and expansion of our pool. Mario, his office manager (Erika), project manager (Marco), and tiling team (Horatio) were all nothing short of a pleasure to work with and I can honestly say I was NEVER frustrated with him or his team. That is unheard of on a major renovation project in my experience. What I want in a company is ...a lot. However, I think that is what most want... good communication, honesty, reliability, timeliness, efficiency, cleanliness, proactive nature, detail-oriented, no hidden fees...AND a beautiful result. Mario does what he says he will do when he says he will do it...AND when there were a couple issues (I will elaborate below), he immediately brought them to my attention and collaborated with me to find the best solution and keep on our timeline. On top of that, he had vision and suggestions that can only come with many years of experience on high-end projects. I interviewed and obtained three quotes from reputable pool building companies on Yelp - all had excellent reviews. I chose Mario because he was the person that came up the with vision we ultimately decided on. I could have taken his idea and went with the company that was less expensive or one that said they would do it a couple weeks quicker...but my intuition said to award the project to Mario because he earned it, seemed the most reasonable and realistic, and made the best impression. I am glad I followed my gut. During our first introduction, I told Mario what I was generally looking to do and then he proposed a variation of my design plan and gave the reasons why. When I saw the 3D CAD Erika sent me the next day of the proposed pool along with our written and detailed quote, I knew Bella was the company we were going to go with. I proceeded to bombard Erika with 100+ bulleted questions over the next week to button down every detail of the project and she never showed frustration with my detail-oriented nature. I really appreciated that; huge kudos to her. Mario was extremely communicative throughout the entire process, so much so that I never had to go to him to ask where anything was in the process the entire project. Mario is one of those individuals that you can tell runs circles around others. He moves fast (literally), picks up on details and people's personality styles quickly, and is just an extremely efficient person. I am an A-type, so it was nice to be in like-minded company and to know he would be competent to take care of any issues when they arose...and like with all projects, they did arise. We had issues with the city inspector flagging us for something that slowed us to a standstill for a whole week. When Mario got him to understand that the deck we had planned from the beginning was already approved and provided all the necessary proof, the inspector let us proceed (we should have never been stopped to begin with). Mario kept his cool but pressed the city and the inspector to get us back on track and then Mario also had his crews work extra to make up for the lost time even though the mistake was the inspector's fault. He did this so we could have our pool completed for company visiting on the Fourth of July. Mario did this throughout our entire renovation when working with subcontractors and coordinating with inspections and our inside general contractors. Mario proactively offered to move four 500lb boulders to any other spots on our property for us (it took them four men with a dolly to move each one). Mario added electrical boxes on our deck stairs because he saw the opportunity to make that design better during the project and did not charge us for that. Mario brought us eight bags of salt to get an algae situation reversed after filling the pool even though that was not his responsibility - free of charge. The motherboard and sensor on our Pentair system went out during the renovation - Mario replaced for free without trying to blame it on us. He provided recommendations to us without any kickbacks or reward for himself for other general contractors, misters, pool servicing companies (they no longer offer maintenance service to new customers because of labor shortages). Mario offered to come back later when we have our Kool Deck Concrete resurfacing application done to help cover up the pool waterline tile - again, at no charge to us. I could go on, but really what you want to know is that Mario is on top of his projects and timelines, the details, and his customer's happiness with his work. He won't leave you high and dry. He won't ghost you. He won't charge you for crazy things to gouge you. He won't let more than a couple hours go without responding to you. Mario is top notch and a pleasure to work with...I looked forward to seeing his smiling face in our backyard several times a week and am kind of bummed his work is now done (beautifully). Hire Bella Blue Water...you will thank me later!!

We are absolutely thrilled with the stunning pool and spa built by Bella Blue Water at our home in Palm Desert. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and exceeded all of our expectations. If I could give 10 stars I would! First and foremost, the quality of workmanship is exceptional. Every detail, from the intricate tile work to the precise placement of the concrete slabs to the perfect Pebble Tec finish is flawless. The craftsmanship truly reflects the dedication, patience and expertise of the Bella Blue Water team. Mario Elias is the owner of this fabulous, local company and he is simply amazing. His professionalism and constant communication throughout the project were outstanding. We saw Mario everyday on site throughout the weeks of work. He doesn't hide in an office but prefers to be with his team and his customers and keeps a constant eye over all the work being done on all his projects. He is definitely a "hands on" guy. His organizational skills are top notch. He kept us informed every step of the way, ensuring that our vision for the pool and spa was brought to life exactly as we imagined it, in fact, even better than we had imagined! Any questions or concerns were addressed promptly leaving us feeling confident and reassured throughout the process. We seriously felt like we were his only customers yet he had several other projects going on at the same time. Not only is the end result visually stunning, but the functionality of the pool and spa are top-notch. The design is both elegant and practical, providing a luxurious oasis for relaxation and entertainment for years to come. The equipment installed is top of the line and everything can be controlled by smartphone. Bella Blue Water has a very high standard of quality and workmanship that Mario takes very seriously and it shows in every single worker that he uses. Overall, we cannot recommend Bella Blue Water highly enough for anyone considering a pool or spa project. Their commitment to excellence, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service truly set them apart. Thank you Bella Blue Water, thank you Mario and team for creating the backyard of our dreams! David & Michelle

I recently had a spa and pool installed in my yard by Bella Blue Water and can attest to why this company has over a hundred 5 star reviews. They handled everything from design, to permits, demo, excavation, rebar, shotcrete, electrical/plumbing, tiling, plaster, etc. Each individual that came through to work on our home was so kind and respectful of our property. They made sure to clean up after each work day. I never got a single complaint from neighbors or HOA. I was not on site for most of the project but Mario would frequently check in on the project himself and kept me updated after each phase was completed via phone calls/texts/photos. I must've asked Erika hundreds of questions during the entire process and she was so patient with me, her responses were always quick, communication was excellent. Special shout out to Eduardo, their foreman, who helped me with electrical and gas line issues I had with my home. Mario really has a way of keeping customers calm even during the most stressful times. He has so much knowledge and experience in the industry and was able to give me a lot of really great tips and suggestions. No matter how busy he was, he always took the time to address my concerns. He is very fair with his pricing and doesn't nickle and dime you for every little thing. Mario really is a perfectionist and did an amazing job transforming our backyard despite working with very limited space, and also completed the project on time as promised. Bella Blue Water is one of the best contractors I've worked with and it is obvious that they are professionals at what they do, but they also go above and beyond to keep their customers happy. Their work and customer service level has far exceeded my expectation and given the opportunity to build another pool, I would hire them in a heartbeat!

It's important to show up in a clean vehicle...sets the standard for an attitude of doing a good job.

Let's talk for a minute about attitude... I said good morning to this young man, "Scott". Then I complemented his truck and how nice a clean it is... His reply was, "Thank you, it's just like how we like our pools!" Way to go Scott!

    Before our pool.

If you are thinking of having a pool built- do it. Best decision ever. We are so happy we hired Bella Blue to build our new pool! They were great from start to finish- Mario takes really good care of his clients, and prides himself and his business on the satisfaction of his customers. Mario goes the extra mile to make sure everything is done right, even if it is not always easy. Our pool was completed on time, and given the current shortage of supplies, we found that to be pretty impressive. In 60 days, we went from an average looking backyard, to a pristine, poolside oasis. Will continue to refer friends and family to Bella Blue. Big thank you to the whole team for their help, everyone from Erika, to the gunite crew, and especially to Mario's employees were a pleasure to work with from start to finish.

August 21, 2021 To whom it may concern: I would like to recommend Bella Blue Water Pools and Mario Elias as your next pool contractor. I found Mario through researching my YELP app.  We just recently moved into our new home and wanted to build a small pool.  The YELP ratings and reviews prompted a call.  Mario was quick to respond, and he came out to our home to discuss our plan. Our home had a sloped back yard, and Mario recommended that we installed a retaining wall for a few reasons:  1.  By having our pool on one level our usable space will be larger; 2.  We would be above the homes below us and would command a better view of the south mountains; 3.  We would not be in risk of the pool eventually falling down the small hill.  Mario stated that by doing this, our backyard space will be second to none - the only problem was that his company did not do wall construction, and I would have to find someone who did that work. He assured me that this would be best for all parties.  He told me that by concentrating only on pool construction, he builds a solid product, and doesn't get tied up with becoming a wall contractor. It was a slow start for my pool construction because I had to handle the retaining wall.  Honestly, I wasn't sure if I did the right thing, but boy....am I glad I followed Mario's advice.  After wall construction, Mario's team was on it! During the entire process, Mario was at my house every day to ensure that everything was going as planned.  His communication was excellent, and He was genuinely excited about how our pool was going to look once completed. Mario gave me recommendations for good people to help with my landscaping needs, and because of that I was able to coordinate with a guy to add plants, and artificial turf, and work with another to build the fencing over my retaining wall. I would recommend looking through "Pinterest" to get ides for the style of pool that you envision.  I found a nice fire bowl, and two pairs of tiki torches, a long with equipment for an outdoor kitchen.  Listen to Mario, and ask him for his advice.  He really knows his business!  With some preplanning, Mario's team will be able to put a great plan together for your backyard - one that you will enjoy for years to come. By the way during construction of our pool,  I asked some of Mario's sub-contractors, who is the best pool contractor: They all told me that Bella Blue Water Pools was the best in the Coachella Valley.  One guy went on to say that everyone who works for Mario is extremely happy, and all of his customer's are equally as happy with the entire process and finished product. Because we moved into a new development, two other neighbors were in the process of constructing pools in their yards and they went with a contractor that told them they could "do everything! - Walls, fences, BBQ's landscaping.  As I am writing this both of my neighbors' yards are still under construction, and my home has been finished for 18 days now - and both had their hole dug before I started construction on my retaining wall! Use Mario Elias & Bell Blue Water Pools with confidence! Bob and Beth Cummins Indian Wells, CA

I had a complete remodel of my pool(plaster, tile) and installation of a variable speed pump, auto-filler, new hand rails, and new pool light. Overall all of the teams from Bella doing the work were excellent. Communication was super and all work was done timely. Francisco also communicated with me on the contract or any other change orders required - he is awesome!! Mario and his team know what they are doing! Mario specifically worked with me and provided a very reasonable estimate for work not planned in my remodel. Don't go anywhere else for your new pool or pool remodel!!

"FIRST IMPRESSION LASTS" is not always true. But with Bella Blue Water, I can say IT IS! From the very 1st response we got from them when we asked a schedule for a site visit so we can get a quote, everything went smoothly thereafter.. When Mario and his dad went to make measurements, he gave us a lot of options/suggestions on layouts and features. Before them, we already had other pool builders who came over for site visits, but upon meeting Mario and his dad, we already know we would like to have Bella Blue for our pool project. Erika, who always answers emails, is VERY RESPONSIVE. We didn't feel lost throughout the process- between her and Mario updating us what's next and what to expect. The workers were also very nice. We were expecting our backyard and driveway would be a mess throughout the build as that we were seeing with others. But the workers ALWAYS CLEAN UP after every time they worked so we never had any issue with dirt and mess. WE WERE SO HAPPY with how everything turned out! See the pictures, but everything looks MORE AMAZING in person! We love to travel but we may be staying more at home because of our backyard now feeling like a vacation spot Thank you Bella Blue Water!

He communicated well about his ETA, talked me through the process and provided me with a rough estimate. Later that evening, he sent me a quote via email with the breakdown and I also got to select the tile at that point. Gio had also renovated bathrooms in a few other condos in my HOA, which definitely gave me even more confidence. I paid the down-payment and Marco showed up a few days later with his workers. He rebuilt the pipes and drain, which was definitely needed. They then left water standing in the drain during the weekend to make sure it wouldn't leak (it didn't). Then the tilers took about 3 days doing the sides and floor. On the final day, the plumber came back to install the fixtures and sliding door. Start to finish, the labor took a week. Progress felt slow, and even my insurance adjuster strongly suggested that I do my research when choosing the company to do the repairs once the house was actually dry. I knew I didn't want that first company doing the actual repairs. I turned to Yelp looking for someone who could move fast, work cleanly, and understand the insurance process; someone who could get the job done with attention to detail, given how much attention we'd put into our home initially, but somebody who could work super, super fast. I thought I'd message AVA Flood Restoration and just get a second opinion on how the drying was going. I was on my way out to dinner and Dan (the owner) said he could come over later that night. I was already impressed, but wanted to wait and see what he'd say. Dan came over right at 9pm as promised. He told me that for a house of our size it simply didn't have the right amount of dryers, and that the house should have already been dry given it had been six days. He told me he had a team ready to go that night if needed, but that either way, he could assure me he could work with speed and attention to detail, and had experience with other homes where design was a key element. I slept on it, and the next morning, fired the other company and hired Dan. He took over from the other company right away, brought in about double the number of dryers, and was candid that the prior team had cut corners. That transparency was a huge deal because at that point I just wanted the truth and a clear plan. He handled explaining what had happened to my insurance company so insurance could just pay his team directly rather than me having to act as a middleman. From there, the pace and organization were night and day. Beyond drying, Dan's foreman, Kody, led the rebuild and he's genuinely skilled. New flooring, drywall, electrical and plumbing repairs, cabinets, paint... the whole scope. The crew was also incredibly consistent: they were there every day between 7-8am, and if I had questions they took the time to explain what was happening and why. The #1 reason I'd recommend Dan is communication. I'm a millennial, communication is everything to me. Dan is truly next-level. He responds to everything, is always a phone call away day or night, and he texts frequent updates so you're never left wondering what's going on. A lot of contractors say they communicate well. Dan actually does. Three weeks later, our house was back together and our tenants were back in, honestly better than ever. They made a pretty awful experience as good as it could have been - an enormous thank you to all of you: Dan, Kody, Mike, Derek - while we hope we never have a flood again, if we ever do need a contractor for other work, we absolutely know who to call. By contrast, our neighbors up the street had a similar pipe burst a year prior, and it took them six months to get back to normal dealing with other slower contractors who just didn't prioritize them. If you're dealing with flood damage and need someone who will show up, follow through, and move with urgency, Dan and AVA Flood Restoration are the real deal.

We still have no outside lights and no garage lights. They do not turn on, also the breaker that's linked to those lights will not stay on. If the contractor Scott, would have already send somebody to service the lights he would know it is a direct result of his shoddy workmanship. In addition, the disposal under the kitchen sink he installed literally fell apart. We no longer trust in his workmanship so we had it repair ourselves. I'm glad the scope was inspected by someone other than Scott; at least I can trust the building authority to performed his job accurately. He would have kept his November 4, date of completion not cutting it one day short of Christmas Eve; and had more that just one employee singlehandedly remodel our home. Not to mention his employee confided in us about how Scott fail to paid him on time and how bitter he was and how the employee was working half ass!

He really seems to know what he's doing as far as his vision on how to transform a space. However, this was the last time I spoke to him. He never got back to me on anything he said he would do. I called a couple of times, left voicemails, and nothing. Wish we could have worked together as I was excited to work with him on my home project. Won't be doing any business with this company anymore due to his lack of follow through. A simple phone call with an I'm too busy at the moment would've been just fine. So Scott finally called back... he must have seen my review. He apologized for not getting back to me and added that he would have an estimate done and sent to me by Friday. This was a Monday when he left his message. Well, it is now a Monday a week later and as you can guess I don't have anything from him again. Strike two Scott. I edited this review to not have to create a new one with 1 star and drop your rating once again. I hope you understand how many people actually rely on these websites and how businesses really benefit from them or in your case do not. Please follow through with future customers! It's simple, if you're too busy or the job is too small have the courtesy and honesty to turn people down or give them a time table of when you'll be available instead of leaving them with the hopes that something will get done.
