On Monday (12/11/2023), I placed a request for several projects through YELP. Sams (without an apostrophe) Handyman Service replied. On Monday (12/11/2023), Sam said, He'd stop over Wednesday (12/13/2023) and "take a look". Later Monday (12/11/2023), He changed coming to my home on Wednesday (12/13/2023) to Saturday (12/16/2023), no time given. On Monday (12/11/2023), when pressed for a time on Saturday, Sam said, 10:00am. I called to confirm the appointment Friday (12/15/2023). Confirmation received, but Sam changed the time from 10:00am to 1:00pm. Saturday (12/16/2023), 12:42pm Sam texted that he'd have to cancel the appointment. 18 minutes before appointment. The reviews seem to indicate outstanding work and service. I'm wondering if any of the reviews are real. He knew well before 12:42pm on Saturday, he was going to cancel, why lie and waste my time. To look for a contractor to convert the outdated bath tub into walk in shower in the desert is no easy task. We were able to find Sams Handyman Service after some researching on Yelp. Sam answered all my questions regarding the project and the costs. We had originally planned on converting one bathroom but decided to do two bathrooms instead. The timeline was tight since we will be staying in a friend's house while demolishing is being done on both bathrooms. We discussed the timetable of getting both bathrooms done in two and half weeks, with one condition that one bath be completed within 12 days because we need to vacate from my friends house. Sam was able to get the first bath done as promised. It looks amazing and am happy with the result. The second bath took a bit longer but to no fault of Sam. It would have been sooner if the person who tiled the bathroom could start work earlier in the day. Sam did a good job of monitoring the project and they were done within the timetable set in the beginning. It was a pleasure of working with Sam, he is flexible and very attentive to our needs. I called Sam because of the reviews he has and I am glad that I did. I needed some baseboard and what I thought at the time a new front door installed. I had to have it done fairly quickly to get it ready for new tenants and Sam took care of it. He did a great job and his price was reasonable for the work he performed. I appreciated that he communicated with me at all times and even advised me against replacing my door but to just redo the weatherstripping and I'm glad he did because he saved me money, which is always good!
