We had our bathtub removed and inserted a 5 x 7' shower latest greatest. It is so well done. It is absolutely beautiful quality of work. Everybody that came in here seemed to know exactly what they were doing and really put some effort into it now recently, we had them install a laundry room where we could put a washer dryer in the bathroom in the back of the house where we do all our all of our living, watch, etc. as you get older, you need the larger shower you need the more convenience of where your washer dryer is so they just completed it today. The washer dryer fits perfectly and it's gonna be lovely. We really appreciate all the efforts. read more

This was my first remodel project so I had no idea how it would go. I wanted to convert a bedroom into another master, with a bathroom and extra closet space. Guillermo was very patient with all my questions and took the time to explain every step of the way. The Desert Pride team completed the project within the proposed time frame. They were professional and respectful. I highly recommend Desert Pride and plan to use them again for my future projects. read more

My wife and I could not be more pleased with our "relationship" with Desert Pride Construction. Their workmanship, timeliness, level of communication and pricing exceeded our hopes. After requesting an estimate thru Yelp, we were immediately contacted by Desert Pride's owner and then our Project Manager, Ruben Aceves. Ruben called to discuss our project and then came out to our home within a day. He was extremely polite and accommodating, yet unassumingly confident. He listened, asked some questions, made some very insightful recommendations, took some pictures and sent us a solid estimate as promised. Once we retained them, Ruben was our phenomenal daily point of contact. He worked with us closely to understand and meet our every wish. He came to the house every day and texted throughout the day to let us know who was coming, when and what to expect. Ruben was so knowledgeable and laid back that he gave us advice on things we were considering doing outside their scope of work. (i.e. new front doors thru Home Depot and some flooring thru a friend of a friend.) The project turned out more beautifully than we imagined. Everything was completed on time and there were no surprises on pricing or timeliness. Even when we changed our minds on some of the details, Ruben didn't flinch or hit us up with a change order. I can't promise that everyone will get such amazing treatment, because we're just one customer, but I'll never consider anyone other than Desert Pride for any future needs. read more

We had them build a casita, paint whole house (inside/outside), build a privacy wall, update kitchen & baths, as well as other miscellaneous updates. They did an amazing job. Their level of quality far exceeded that of the original builder (Toll Bros.). Cannot say enough good things about Carlos, Guillermo & their people. read more

I hired this company a third representative Ruben Aceves to build me a patio with grille and fireplace. They did a wonderful job in every facet and provided a great review two years ago. I recently found a damage in the grill area and call Ruben to hire them to come back and fix it and offered to pay for this service. Not only did the do a wonderful and timely job but said it was provided at no cost! What a great company and with great customer service! read more

We had a side-by-side fireplace and TV niche that needed updating. We also wanted to replace the adjacent kitchen countertops to coordinate with the fireplace hearth. I contacted Desert Pride Construction after a neighbor's recommendation and we were very pleased with their service. Upon acceptance of a detailed estimate of the remodel, the project proceeded on time and on budget. Guillermo and his various teams (demo, framing, electrical, stonework, painting, etc). were all punctual, proficient and left the workspace clean and tidy. I appreciated their professionalism and expertise throughout the process. The fit and finish of the completed work is fantastic, especially when compared to the original build. We would highly recommend Desert Pride Construction for home remodel work. read more

Exceptional construction company, with superb customer service. We did a full master bath and second bath remodel with them. The job was done quickly, in less time than estimated, their prices are fair and the quality of work is perfect. They were also very clean throughout the process. They are knowledgeable and very helpful in dealing with design and aesthetic issues. They even helped us put in a functional and nice dog washing station for our large dogs. We highly recommend their services and couldn't be more pleased with their work. read more

Desert Pride originally helped us reconfigure our laundry room. Carlos, Guillermo and the team were very helpful during the design process and found ways to maximize our space in a small layout. Later, when deciding to remodel the rest of the home, it was a no brainer to go with Desert Pride. These guys are smart, time efficient, cost effective and don't miss a beat during the remodeling process. On our projects, they consistently communicated and were always willing to go out of their way to help with design, material procurement, cabinetry, flooring, you name it. We also used Desert Pride to paint the outside of our home and they did an excellent job. You can tell right away that Carlos and Guillermo always strive to make their customers happy and truly take Pride in their work. Guillermo and his team of highly professional contractors recently finished a complete custom remodel of our kitchen and living room/family room. We had used them to remodel a bathroom a year ago, so we were confident in their work. We received excellent advice and support throughout the project. One of the things that gave us the most confidence was the easy and regular communication by Guillermo. Whenever we had a question about the project or scheduling, he was immediately available. He and his team worked closely with the vendors supplying the materials, so we never had to worry. There was great attention to detail, and Guillermo often visited to personally monitor the progress of the project. We would not hesitate to use Desert Pride again in the future or to recommend them to family and friends. Steve and Lynn Conklin Cathedral City read more

We hired Desert Pride Construction for our master bathroom remodel. Dealing with Guillermo was a such a smooth process. He and his crew stood up to the name in his company ... "PRIDE". Everyone was pleasant, cordial and worked with extreme pride in their craft. My husband and I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed working with his team. It's hard to believe, but not only were they on time, Guillermo was "early" on his appointments. He navigated us through a big project with ease and made a stressful project -- enjoyable, which is hard to deliver in this industry. We have already referred him to several of our friends and will continue to use his company for more projects as we get settled into our new home. If there were 10 stars available to select, we would give it to them :). Thank you, Guillermo. You are the best! Enjoy the before and after pictures. read more

MUCH appreciation and respect for Carlos and Guillermo Aceves and their Desert Pride Construction crews! Absolute craftsmen, professional, frequent communicators (and, clarifiers - whenever we didn't quite understand the "next steps" in the process), genuine, caring and friendly throughout this work! Ours was by no means their typically MUCH larger build or renovation project. The budget was small...yet they and their contractors/subs treated us with the utmost respect, timeliness, thoroughness and artistry! Desert Pride took our Villa from this before picture - with the glass double sliders/security shutter...to this Amazing wrought iron, spectacular Entry. The result was additional insulated wall space to our Living room and exterior; more complementary chair rail, and a stucco/paint job that perfectly ties it all together - while making it appear to have Always been this incredible! The best part? All of this work was accomplished in 2-weeks/10-business days!!! And, we were able to keep the air conditioning operating throughout...as they either put up plastic, plywood or had the wall framed, insulated & drywalled within the first three days! THANK YOU! Our Siberian Husky is SO Grateful! Thank you, Carlos, Guillermo and your crews! read more

I would like to add my voice to the chorus of other satisfied clients that have worked with Desert Pride. I recently purchased a home and was in desperate need of upgrading my patio & pool. Being from the East Coast I knew no one to get a recommendation from, so I started my due diligence and carefully interviewed a handful of contractors. Some took weeks to give me a quote, others wanted to keep visiting my property before quoting me. It was just taking a long time and I couldn't believe how slow some of these people are in the desert. I mean if it takes this long to get a quote I can only image how long it will take to finish a project. I discovered Desert Pride online and read all of their great reviews. Both brothers, Carlos and Guillermo, were at my home within 24 hours after calling and were listening really carefully as to what I wanted. They did not need to keep coming back or take a week to give me a quote.... This is what they do for a living and it was a simple job for them. Within 24 hours I received an estimate! The quote was broken down so I can easily see what was being done and where all the money was going. Their rate was reasonable, and it was right in the middle of several other contractors. To me it wasn't just about the money.... I wanted someone who really understood what I wanted and had plenty of experience. I felt more than comfortable moving forward with them. The next month I watched the team of Desert Pride transform my patio and pool from an outdated murky swamp to something that you would see in Greece. Both brothers were on top of everything and at the project site on a regular basis. At least a couple times a week they would walk me through their progress to keep me updated and to get my feedback with finishes and colors. The entire team working with Desert Pride were always respectful and hardworking. As soon as my community gates allowed contractors in at 7AM, there was Desert Pride right there waiting to start! It took just about a month from discovering Desert Pride to the completion of my pool and patio. Both Carlos & Guillermo exceeded my expectations, and I am looking forward to using their services for other updates around my home. Desert Pride proves there are still good contractors out there..... Just took a bit of digging for me to find them. Another satisfied customer!! read more

Had a remodel in the living room done in November, 2022. We had a gas fireplace and on opposite side of wall had large alcove where the TV was in. Wanted to update with fireplace and TV in center. My wife and I had an old bathroom that desperately needed remodeling. Carlos Aceves responded quickly with a quote using only pictures which we submitted. We landed on a price which was within our budget and seemed reasonable. Prior to starting construction Carlos came out to review the project with us and made some great recommendations none of which increased the budget. The project did take a little longer than expected but that was partially our fault as we pushed out the start date. As I told Carlos at the completion of the project, we are extremely pleased with the final product. Price, professionalism and the quality of workmanship all came together. I would highly recommend Desert Pride. They really do take great pride in their work. I have attached before and after pictures. What a change! read more

We chose Desert Pride Construction for our whole condo remodel because of the excellent reviews. We do not live in town plus the condo was built in 1964 with all the challenges that brings. Guillermo and his team made it perfectly easy and enjoyable to work with. He was always available to text call or email and I really appreciated that. The cabinet guy did a fantastic job and I have at least twice as much cabinet space space as before. I used very large tile for bathrooms and tile guys did amazing work. Desert Pride Construction recently did beautiful work on my home. This is my first home so I was new to the entire construction process, But Carlos and his team were so helpful! They walked me through the process, discussed everything we'd be doing in detail, and gave me exactly what I wanted. Not only did I get what I wanted but they worked with MY schedule, getting a weeks worth of work done in 3 days so I could host my guests from out of town by Friday! Desert Pride Construction and Painting gets a one star because his vehicles were nice and not because of his professionalism. He never showed up for an appointment for a concrete and masonry job description at our home and didn't even call. So, i called back because of his reviews and rescheduled , but again he was over an hour late and had excuses! Lastly, he promised to deliver a bid but it was another lie and excuses again! Our home is older and needed quite a bit of work to modernize it. We saw some positive reviews about Desert Pride Construction. After comparing offers from a few companies, we had very good feelings about Desert Pride as a family-owned business. We decided to start small with an update of our shower. Ruben's management of the process was great as was the workmanship of the team from demo to plumbing and tiling. They were clean, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. We thought that their name was fitting as the entire team showed pride in their work. The experience convinced us to move ahead with a replacement of all of our flooring including on our patio as well as a complete remodel of our kitchen. Ruben was very flexible with modifications as we moved through the process. While they may have not been the least expensive, the job was completed with no cost overruns. We needed our house painted, but it required a handful of repairs to the facade first. Carlos and his team re-stuccoed the entire exterior, took off an unsightly facing (put on by earlier owners), re-plastered and caulked the windows, replaced a pair of doors, and removed an exterior shower. After all of this, they painted the house beautifully. The lines are very clean and zero mess left behind. All for a reasonable price. We can not say enough wonderful things about Desert Pride Construction and Carlos and his crew. From beginning to end everything was easy and perfect. He just remodeled our bathroom turning it from an ancient tub shower combo to a walk in shower with bench. Love it. He arrived promptly for our initial appointment, understood exactly what we wanted and provided an extremely detailed estimate within a day. He followed his timeline exactly on time. Plus, there were several items we wanted that were more expensive than he had in his bid, and we requested additional debris removal for unrelated work we were doing and he absorbed the expense.
