We've had some pretty bad experiences with local painters, so we decided to look outside town. We're really glad we did. Rigo and his crew were great. They were responsive, showed up on time, helped us pick the right colors, gave us a clear quote, and did an excellent job. The pictures speak for themselves. We're super happy with the work and would hire them again without hesitation. read more

We needed a fresh new paint job in house with over 3000 sq feet. We needed walls, ceilings and baseboards done. The owner paid such close attention to detail. We had bids from 3 companies but Kromas was by far the best (quality and price). The references from yelp and additional reviews in our HOA cemented our opinion They started and finished on time and the job was flawless. I already talked to the owner about other people and a smaller job in our house. read more

Kromas did an amazing job painting our entire exterior. He came over to give an estimate and had no problem explaining exactly how they did it. He checked in frequently throughout the process and answered any questions I had. They cleaned up completely after themselves and did a great job. They were in the middle of my 4 price estimates and worth the price. I'll remember them if I need anything painted in the future. Highly recommended. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We had nothing but a positive experience with Kromas Painting! We hired them to paint both the outside and inside of our house. Rigo's crew were very respectful, always showed up on time, and took extra care with our personal belongings (e.g., flooring, furniture, outside plants, etc.) to ensure everything was protected while painting. They take pride in the work they do! Rigo was especially easy to work with, is very involved with the work his crew were hired to do, and did not "nickel and dime" us for every little thing. His contracts/agreements - and pricing - were fair and straightforward. I would definitely work with them again! read more

UPDATE TO MAY 29, 2024, REVIEW. We were so happy with the first paint job completed by Kromas Painting that we contracted them again without obtaining other quotes. Some details we would like to share: - They traveled 115 miles to perform this work - Without thinking of this detail, they painted our black metal gate, all black faded hardware on the house, mailbox and all down spouts - They carefully cover all ground surfaces with plastic, so no paint is left to seep into the ground or ruin garden's aesthetics - They typically remove sconces and will install new sconces provided by homeowner. An equivalent installation is no additional cost - Clean-up is completed at the end of each day and the last day is reserved for any "Go Backs" and clean-up. - Up-front payment is within the California Down Payment Law. (Very fair) Two photos are attached with our prior project photos. The California Bungalow is the recent project. We highly recommend Kromas Painting a Coachella Valley based licensed contractor. read more

We had the best experience with Rigo and Kromas Painting for a very complex entire house painting job, involving exterior stucco and trim and an interior that involved 28 foot high ceilings. The job was even more complex having to work around multiple other contractors on site including window installers and stucco contractors. The team showed up every day on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. They were very accommodating to our needs since we continued to live in the house for the duration of the project. Furnishings were covered and handled with care. They always went beyond the painting task when they encountered problems like open drywall and loose fixtures, fixing things without being asked to do so. Rigo came by the job every morning at the start and at the end of every day to inspect the job. I have never had other contractors do that. They responded to spot issues immediately with fixes and not promises to come back later. The job quotes were clear and itemized. I think the cost was extremely reasonable. There were no unexpected surprises. This was one of the most professional contracting jobs we have had in 40 years of home ownership. I cannot recommend them highly enough for their outstanding work. read more

If your looking for professional, highly detailed, at a fair price painters, then contact Kromas Painting. We completely remodeled our home, inside and out, so we dealt with a lot of tradesmen and contractors. NO one was more enjoyable to deal with than Rigo. The entire team took care of the property as if it was their own. I can't recommend them any higher or more enthusiasticly. I know you will enjoy your beautifully painted home by Kromas Painting, too! read more

This review is long overdue. Rigo did an amazing job on our Rancho Mirage home. There was zero surprise add on, zero damage and was done on the timeline he quoted. My home was super clean and put back together as it was left. He had incredible communication and photos during the process during as I l lived in OC. I am a realtor so I appreciate communication and quality work, this was my home and he did exceptional work. Rigo wasn't the lowest priced but he was thorough on his estimate and communication and follow up was key. I would highly recommend him and his team. He did an excellent job and I sold the home off market for the price I wanted after the painting was done. Thank you so much Rigo. Show less read more

Kromas did an awesome job repairing damaged stucco. They arrived on time, professional, thorough, and did a great job blending it to match the existing stucco. Highly recommend. Thank Rigo! read more

We've used Rigo twice now for various handyman services. We are both working professionals along with going to school and haven't had time to do stuff around the home. Rigo has been great to work with, he's friendly, knowledgeable, and affordable. He's also mindful of our work schedules and doesn't bug us during meetings when he's working on stuff. This time, we had him re-tile our fireplace and hang a new mantel. Because of his work we've already gotten lots of compliments on our fireplace. If I were to provide one recommendation on how he might improve, it would be nice if he wore booties or vacuumed the floor when he was done. We had to vacuum due to some left over debris when he was done. Overall, will use Rigo again as his work speaks for itself along with all of the above reasons. read more

Broken down vehicle, unable to get to my project. Took a phone call, a text and a Yelp message, finally to hear back from him. It's hard to find good, reliable, people these days. Update: Rigo, May I suggest that you contact your potential clients of the status of your intent. It should not have taken a text, phone call (left message) and a message here on Yelp to ask if you wanted to do the job or not. I should not have to chase you down just to hear excuses. I loath excuses, just be up front and tell me you can not do my project. But after three attempts trying why would I want to have you do my project at all. read more

We were looking for a local handyman business and after making a request through Yelp Rigo was one of the first to respond. At the very beginning Rigo was already displaying 5-star service. I understand businesses can be busy, but Rigo responded promptly back with his availability and service costs. Communication is key to any successful projects and Rigo had great communication. Upon arriving to our house he got straight to work. We reviewed the various tasks around the house and he started immediately. He had some questions throughout the day to clarify what our expectations were for each task. Before "finalizing" the nails, he would ask my husband and I if we approved and if any adjustments were needed. Again, communication was great. Rigo is not only skilled in his profession, but very friendly. We have used him 2-3x now and he is our go to handyman. If if he is busy, we are willing to wait until he is open to ensure we receive quality work. If you're looking for a handyman, Rigo is your person! read more

They came out to review my job request, but never followed up with an estimate. And I haven't heard from them since (over two weeks ago). My job request was to have the eaves painted, iron gates repainted, repaint a gazebo, and two ceilings that had water damage from last August's storm. Not a huge job, but certainly not a small job either. Apparently, they weren't interested. In reply to your message: Thank you for your prompt response. I've updated your score as well. Apparently, the estimate got lost in the email cycle making it a mishap on both ends.... Thank you again and I will keep your information for my next project. read more

I don't even know where to begin. Rigo was a life saver for my family and I this past weekend. We thought the smoke detectors needed to be changed, I called him he was at our house fixing them within the hour we came to find out it was the carbon dioxide alarm he went and bought us a new one and installed it. Very helpful and explained everything. The night after our washing machine over flowed at 7:30 at night I called rigo he was at our house within the hour and saved us he removed all the water and started fanning our carpet to dry. He even came out the following day to vacuum some more water out of the carpet. Fair pricing, knew what he was talking about, responded quickly, we will definitely be using him more! I came to Yelp to look for a reputable painting company and gave Kromas a call because of all the 5 star reviews. They were NOT wrong. Rigo and his crew were outstanding. Rigo does business the way it should be done, with great customer service, follow up and communication. I thought this type of service was no longer available, but I'm happy I was wrong. I would give 6 stars if I could. I was so impressed with the paint job (he painted the exterior of my 2700 sq ft home) that I have already scheduled his services to paint the interior. read more

Recently I had to fire a contractor midway through a bathroom remodel. I wanted to hire a company to repaint the horrendous job that was completed by the previous team. I explored several painting companies and ended up working with Rigo. Rigo was incredibly responsive and always showed up right on time. He and his crew did an excellent job of painting two bathrooms, painting and repairing my kitchen ceiling, and repairing a lot of damaged drywall throughout my house. His prices are reasonable and he's also a really nice guy! Rigo is super knowledgable and actually recommended great changes to my original painting plans.
