We just built a brand new infinity edge pool for our vacation home in the desert. After interviewing five different builders, we opted to go with Aqua Terra because Willy was the most enthusiastic and positive one of the five and was able to offer what the others weren't. After all is said and done, we were very pleased with our decision. Willy and his crew finished our project in just three months. His crew was always timely and Willy was able to get the city inspections scheduled very quickly and we passed every stage without any problems. Willy came through on every promise and was very easy to work with even though we added several extra elements to our project like the pentair magic bowls, additional hardscaping, etc. Most importantly, Willy, Romina and the entire staff made it easy for us even though we weren't physically there for much of the project. We used FaceTime and he walked us through every step. Once the project was completed, Willy told us to call him day or night if there was ever an issue with the pool controls or functionality. We had an appointment with Aqua Terra this morning at 10am to discuss pool construction at my home. It is now 10:34 and a no call no show from them. And when I called their office number it went right to voicemail. I had to adjust a busy work schedule to make room for this appointment. If they can't even make a first appointment, how can I trust them with the construction? Moving on to someone else. UPDATE 2. Just had a field person call me stating "I'll make it up to you". I sadly disrespected this pool company for being dishonest with me. They stopped answering my calls and even I stopped in their office to give a note to the front desk requesting them to contact me. I grew up with 2 homes with pools in the east coast and also I worked for the Swim Club during my teenager. I even developed a folder of some photos from Pinterest, my draft blueprint for 25" long x 18" high with 3 - 11" waterfalls (spillovers) and a list of things to be replacing and repairing. Willie came and looked around my pool and spa and he promised me that he would give me a proposal and he suggested me to stop at his office to pick out the tiles and even he showed me his new pool nearby. This review has been a long time coming. In March 2020 I called Willy and he came out to look at our pool and measure for resurface and retile. The following day I went to pick out tile and surface material which Willy helped us with as we knew nothing about pools. We chose the "Stonescapes Mini-pebble Aqua White" which looks like a pretty light blue once your pool is filled. Willy and Lilliana walked us through the process seamlessly. Our first contractor took four months just to complete demolition. We got rid of them. Willie took over and finished the job in less than six weeks. His tile team are amazing artists. Everything looks beautiful. There were some hiccoughs with the pool post installation. Took them a long time to install some umbrellas, and there was a problem with the plumbing that his team didn't properly diagnose (there was a leak under the new deck from the old pool fill line, which should have been removed since it wasn't necessary anymore, but that's mostly the fault of the contractor who did the demolition). Any construction project will have some bumps. But I can say that I never texted, called, or emailed AquaTerra without an almost-immediate response. When the pool heat didn't work, Willie came out immediately to fix the settings himself. When we had problems with the inspection, they were fixed within a week. When it comes to the big-picture stuff, Willie is always responsive and comes up with solutions fast. Totally recommend them. read more

I called AquaTerra for a consultation about installing an inground pool in my backyard and making other outdoor space/yard enhancements. My meeting with company representative Willy went well. He arrived on time and was very friendly, knowledgeable and seemed interested in the project we discussed. He committed to providing an estimate, but never did. I followed-up twice and got no response. I find such behavior to be extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Of course, no contractor is obligated to bid on a project, but there is a professional way to decline work rather than by rudely blowing of a potential customer.
