Working with Rick, Maggie and Brett and the rest of the gang at American Heritage was a great experience and they knew exactly what we were after. We started with a sand lot and ended up with paradise. Fiberglass pools are the way to go in Palm Springs. I have several friends with more expensive gunite pools and the cost of upkeep on our pool is near to nothing compared to what they go through. The pool heats within 3 hours during the cold months and it practically takes care of itself and uses very little chlorine. Our pool vacuum keeps it nice and clean year round. Even with the supply chain issues during our install, American heritage came through for us and had alternative suggestions for what we wanted to achieve. We had a great time working with everyone. Not only did they help us with financing, the pool, the pavers, the concrete, electrical, they also helped us find great electricians, plumbers and other contractors for our other projects.

The pool looks great and I'm happy with the overall look! We did experience some hiccups throughout this experience that sucked the fun out of building a new pool and ended with not the best customer service unfortunately. I would highly recommend holding on to your contract closely throughout the process. Ask a ton of questions/do research before signing. Pool lingo is their second language and completely foreign to you if you've never had a pool. So you naturally trust the experts and whatever they say, but ASK QUESTIONS AND DO RESEARCH, don't let anyone make you feel rushed at any point of this process (getting a quote/at signing/through out build out/final walk thru). It's a huge investment and you should game plan every single detail prior to signing a big contract. That was my mistake, I feel like I trusted too much and didn't ask enough questions and allowed the rushiness. Lesson learned! Ask for photo updates or even visit your project weekly so you can get accurate updates. Or better yet, install a ring camera where you can see the work yourself! We had concrete pad/pavers leading to the pool (that were part of the design on the contract) that weren't poured which was a bummer since it was such a cool design factor. They did offer to correct it by pouring those on another day but it was a period of bad weather, so that would've pushed my project even longer and we were already a month and a half past due so I couldn't afford more time. They did give me a refund for the missed concrete though! I'd recommend putting in the contract that they hand off the pool to you completely full with clean and clear water and no dirt. I was handed off with a dirty pool which was super surprising. They told me it has a lot of dirt at the bottom bc of construction/wind. They have a pool cleaner that cleans for the final two weeks of their work, but that doesn't necessarily mean he will be done once it's clean, he literally is done once he's been going for two weeks regardless of how it looks at the end which is odd but I assumed I'd get a clean and perfect pool at the end. They said they could do me a favor and send him one more time on their dime for me but that still didn't do the trick. I had to pay a pool cleaner to come and really get it clear. But they were kind enough to refund me the amount I paid for the pool guy I hired. The first week of renting out my airbnb with the new pool, there was a leak under the concrete, pouring water into the backyard. I notified them and they were quick to send someone out the next morning to fix it and all is well now! So even though I didn't have the best ending to my experience with them they definitely tried to correct the issues. I have 4 other properties in the area I plan to build pools at this year and I am open to looking at other builders but also potentially using them again. I learned a lot from this experience and I'm sure applying all the hiccups I experienced this go round will make for a smoother next round. RESEARCH, ASK A LOT QUESTIONS, TAKE YOUR TIME WITH THE CONTRACT, KEEP YOUR CONTRACT CLOSE & GET REGULAR UPDATES

Fantastic company! I would highly recommend American Heritage for your project. Rick is a visionary who will take your dreams and ideas to a new level. Maggi is very friendly and responsive. Miguel listens and is patient answering all of your onsite questions. We absolutely love our original bar, grill and fire pit. They have really enhanced our outdoor living and entertaining. There were small delays because the team cares about the details of the project and pays attention to craftsmanship. This is so much more than I imagined. Give them a try if you need someone who answers messages timely, cares about your wants and experiences and offers a competitive rate.

On May 13th, 2021, I signed a contract with American Heritage Pool to construct a new swimming pool. Because of COVID-19, the work began in November 2021. The excavation occurred on 11/22, 11/23, and 11/24/2021. I also told Miguel, the foreman that the gas company needed to approve where he planned to run the gas line before excavating. He cut two lines leading from the utility meters to the rear of the property. American Heritage Pool Company did not call 811 - Dig Alert before excavating on 11/22/2021. I fired them. The California Contractors State License Board determined that American Heritage Pool Corporation violated one or more business and professions codes, particularly, the Dig-Alert Law. I am in the process of suing them. Do NOT hire this company.

Overall we had great experience with AHPC. There were some delays along the way, however delays were also experienced with our home remodeling due to labor / material shortages at the time. We will use them again!

We definitely did our homework before hiring a pool designer/contractor. In our first meeting with Maggi and Rick, we immediately understood they had the knowledge and vision to turn our ideas into an amazing design that is truly a work of art. Construction went smoothly, all of their crew members were professional and kind people, our project was a positive experience and we feel like we made friends along the way! They didn't just build us a pool, they transformed our backyard into a sanctuary.

Early summer of 2016 we had Rick and Maggie come out to our home and help us come up with a plan for an inground pool and backyard reno project for a fairly small space, relatively speaking. The final design included a pool and spa with a glorious rock waterfall, paving stones, a new patio cover, grass, as well as planter bed edging. The work turned out phenomenally and we could not be happier with the final results. Rick and Maggie really seemed to *get* what we were looking for in our space and the details and really show. What we got was more than just a pool and a new backyard, and, in surpassing our original expectations, we got a place we want to spend time as well as a great sanctuary space.

Having moved into a house in Sun City Palm Desert in late September, we realized that the very bare back patio needed some serious attention. We met Hector in October and really liked his approach to drawing up a new look for our garden. All we had were several of the usual boxwoods, caesalpinia, and a lime tree. The new image had to be colorful so we approved the 5 yellow trumpet flower bushes because we love the hummingbirds and pollinators so much. Two additional spots would be occupied by two very generous ocotillos, always a favorite. We needed front and back faucets to be upgraded and a regular maintenance team as the spring season requires. We made a date for work to start in early December due to all of our personal commitments. The initial crew worked to rearrange the rocks in the patio area and set up the plantings. They are hard-working and knowledgeable and we appreciated the changes they made. Scheduling is easy with Hector because he responds to messages quickly and he is flexible and understands the importance of the client's needs. This past week the team arrived to prep the ground in the semi-circle of turf and to rearrange the rocks and clean up. We watched them work so hard from early morning to dusk and the results are pretty wonderful!! Should you decide to engage Hector's team you will be impressed by his obvious enthusiam for producing high quality results.

Simply put, I do things my way. The company is, "Kat's K9s" for a reason. Next, the phone number associated with my business belongs to me and has dual purpose. Therefore, I will answer when I am able. I digress. My intention here is to return the favor since he did try to advertise his services to me during our initial phone conversion and via email (prior to my old dog being rushed to the vet, unbeknownst to any of us). I would have loved to have an opportunity to receive services from this company, but based on the interactions I have had with Mr. Edward, I am less likely. To clarify, Mr. Edward had a polite tone and gave me the impression that he was very understanding during our initial phone call. However, when he was unable to reach me due to my personal emergency and calling multiple times, his disrespect was clear. Mr. Edward caught me at a vulnerable time when I could not get to my phone. Any pet owner interested in my services should (and has) understand this scenario. Honestly, this could've all been resolved, had he gone through the proper channels to contact my staff as instructed. Anyway, due to this experience with the owner, I'm no longer inclined to consider this company for my landscaping or backyard water feature needs at any point in the future. I'm sure there are many landscapers to choose from in my area, and his company is probably as good as it looks (truly, it looks amazing). But, one of the contributing factors to choosing a company is how they align with my values. Ponderrific Adventures missed the mark.
