    Pizza without the crust
    Lance S.

We have seen crust pizza in The Woodlands but when they opened one up closer to us in Willis, we decided to try it out a couple Saturdays ago. We went around 11 AM so there was just a couple people in there when we got there. iIt's new, so it's very nice and clean inside. They have menus up on the wall or they have menus on top where you can see above the counter, you look at the menu and order at the counter and then someone will bring it out to you when it's ready. The food was good. Some of us ordered pizza, some of us ordered salad. We also ordered an appetizer of the cheesy breadsticks which were really good. They have a drink station where you can get different sodas or tea. They also have some hot sauce and cheese and pepper if you want to put that on your pizza. The food tasted really really good, although someone in our party commented on how salty their pasta dish was. You can also get your pizza without the crust, which is how I chose to eat mine and it was small portions, but it was filling. My kids and wife both liked their pizza, the main problem was the wait time it took to get our food to us . Fortunately, we were friends, so it didn't matter as much, but if it was just the four of us, we would've been really disappointed with how long it took for them to get the food to us. That may just be a learning curve for the new restaurant, but overall it was good food it was good service. The restaurant is nice inside, there are TVs to watch sports on so overall we enjoyed our experience there and we would probably go back.

Even the sandwiches they sell are full of flavor and delicious the only thing is I wish they sold the sandwiches everyday/all day not just sometimes. The owners are kind and if you like conversation they always enjoy talking to their customers, on the same note I'm not big on small talk or making conversation and they never make me feel uncomfortable. **Be cautious of open and close times I've showed up more than once seeing they're closed because Google has the time wrong. **

I met my friend there at 10:00am. It was very quiet, which I like. The person taking the orders was Lilly. She was so sweet. She told us where she imports different ingredients from and how she uses the highest quality ingredients. She has a very extensive menu of both iced and hot coffees. There were also sandwiches and muffins. She told us that if we wanted something that wasn't on the menu, she would fix it for us. She asked me what flavors I like and what I don't like to help me make the best choice. I went with mocha coffee served hot. My friend got an iced drink called wedding cake. Both drinks were larger than I expected. I think 18 ounces but I may be mistaken. I was going to let mine cool off but she said it wasn't necessary. She was right! I was able to drink it right away. The temperature was perfect. It tasted great! My friend said her drink was awesome. The shop is delightful! There are several couches with coffee tables, some bar height table and stools as well. We sat on the couch and visited there until just after 1:00! A few people came in while we were there but they were all quiet and lept to themselves. There was some music playing but it wasn't loud at all. The setting is so peaceful and serene. The only picture I took was of a green vinyl couch because it reminded me of the one at my husband's frat house at SHSU in the mid 80s. I plan on going back again as soon as possible. I highly recommend Lilly's in Willis!

No questions asked...just right! IYKUK My waitress Becca was very attentive despite managing several tables, even while engaging in conversations and even hugging some of her customers. It would have been better with fresh basil and more mozzarella cheese. The chicken piccata was okay. It was a little heavy on the lemon but the artichoke hearts were a plus for me because I really enjoy artichoke. My friend really liked the chicken parm. And it was his birthday so he got a brownie dessert which was rich and delicious. Over all I was going to give 3 stars but our server Makayleigh got it bumped up another star because she was absolutely great: Great service, great personality. Of course I will come back and I will have pictures. We dug in before I could take photos. I will not order the chicken piccata again though.

I had to come leave a review for our experience at First Watch on I-45 in Conroe because WOW. From…read morethe moment we walked in, the hospitality was unmatched. I came in with my mom, nana, husband, and my service dog, and our server Makayla genuinely made this one of the best dining experiences I've had in a very long time. What shocked me most is finding out she's actually pretty new, because she handled that busy brunch rush like a seasoned professional. She was incredibly attentive, kind, patient, and so thoughtful the entire time we were there. She made sure my family's coffee cups never went empty, constantly checked on us without hovering, and somehow managed to keep everything flowing smoothly even while the restaurant was packed. One thing that really stood out to me was how caring she was toward my service dog. Not everybody pays attention to those little details, but she did immediately. I ordered the Trio Breakfast with a plain waffle specifically for him, and without me even having to repeat myself, she made sure there was absolutely no butter or syrup on it because she remembered it was for my dog. That level of attentiveness meant a lot to me. Now let's talk about the MILLION DOLLAR POTATOES. Whoever created those deserves a raise immediately. As a pregnant woman in my first trimester, eating has honestly been a struggle lately because almost nothing sounds good or stays satisfying. Those potatoes were one of the first things in a while that actually made me excited to eat. They were savory, comforting, flavorful, and honestly addictive. I was so invested in those potatoes that I can barely even remember what the rest of my family ordered . I asked Makayla what was in them because I was genuinely blown away, and she took the time to explain everything to me so sweetly. She also made sure our food came out hot and quickly, and you could tell she truly cared about people having a good experience, not just "doing her job." I even asked to speak with her manager because excellent service deserves recognition. Aaron, the manager, was just as wonderful. You could tell he genuinely took pride in hearing positive feedback about Makayla, especially as a new hire. He thanked us for coming in, was extremely kind and informative, and honestly helped create such a welcoming atmosphere overall. I told my family I wish I could throw Makayla, Aaron, and the million dollar potatoes into my suitcase and bring them all back home to California with me . Unfortunately, there are no First Watch locations in California, which honestly feels criminal at this point. To Makayla and Aaron: thank you for making a pregnant woman, her family, and her service dog feel genuinely cared for. In a busy brunch restaurant, that level of hospitality is rare, and it absolutely did not go unnoticed. We will remember this experience for a very long time.
