I have worked with many property management companies the past few years, 4 to be exact as we have a complicated HOA, Reading some of the comments below made me write this review. First Sandi, our current property manager Has been nothing but efficient, positive, and extremely helpful both to myself and a few of my neighbors! We have a unique HOA. When things get complicated or there is an issue that needs attention, Margo, the Owner reaches out to solve any and all problems. We have more complications then the average HOA (too much to comment in a review). I strongly recommend Crumack Huseby for any HOA looking for improvement. read more

I had inadvertently violated a very very serious HOA violation and she worked to make sure I wasn't fined or given any other harsh punishments that apparently the HOA could've done for me for being in violation. Nothing our community can do, we are stuck with them! We are a new build community in Temecula. The builder, Lennar, choose Crummack Huseby (CH) and arranged it so that Lennar always has a majority position on the board until construction of the neighborhood is complete. Construction has been going on for four years with no end in sight. So the homeowners have no say in the management company, which means CH is only accountable to the builder. And the corporate builder couldn't care less about the homeowners after the sale has closed. Lennar cut corners in the common area irrigation systems, setting it up so that homeowners water lines would have to irrigate some of the common areas near the homes. It's a horrible arrangement: The HOA rules state that CH is supposed to maintain these areas but the homeowners must water them. So what happens? CH doesn't do maintenance, never replants anything, and then claims the problem is that the homeowner is not irrigating. There are huge areas of dead plants in common areas throughout the neighborhood. According Crummack Huseby all of this is homeowners' fault. They claim that a significant portion of the neighborhood is not providing adequate irrigation - even though everything that is in the homeowner's yard, on the same irrigation circuit, is doing fine. Somehow it's only the Crummack Huseby plants that go thirsty. The result is that the neighborhood looks like crap, CH blames homeowners, fines them and gets an extra revenue stream as a reward for creating one of the ugliest neighborhoods in our city. I have to hand it to Margo and Sandra, they figured out a way to not do their job, blame someone else, and then get paid extra for their failures. Sure it's sleazy, but it is clever! But maybe my poor review isn't accurate. If you are a mega corporation home builder looking for a partner that can squeeze some more revenue from buyers for years after the sale, than Crummack Huseby is perfect for the job. But if you are a homeowner looking to live your life in a reasonably well-maintained neighborhood without constantly being harassed by a Kafkaesque bureaucracy... well tough luck. read more

Worst HOA!! They inconsistently enforce their own property rules. Homeowners aren't properly challenged to maintain their properties. The owners of this HOA are NOT properly involved in making this community better. Finally fired the property maintenance company after 5-6 years of poor performance but don't hold homeowners accountable to follow rules and manage their own properties. read more

We have been living in the community for about 3 years now and I must say it has been the worst HOA community experience this far. We are at a breaking point where we are engaging different HOA attorneys to communicate with the HOA directly. VERY RUDE, UNRESPONSIVE, UNPROFESSIONAL, & has been making our lives miserable. I can relate to pretty much what other 1 or 2 star reviews say here on Yelp. I had not so great experience myself. I understand HOA's have the responsibility to keep the community clean and similar-looking etc, but I got a notice for installing a small solar light in the yard that you won't even see unless you are in the yard and need $100 architectural review for stupid $15 light. I guess HOA's use no common-sense, they just have to follow whatever is in the book. We had plants in front of our home died for 4 months and I opened tickets on their portal and they vanish after a week and nothing changes with plants, they can take their sweet time to fix things, but we get 15 days to fix things after receiving the letters. Very few people not parking cars in garage ended up enforcing this on all residents to send pictures, why not deal with specific residents and enforce it on everyone, because they can. read more

Impossible to reach the company. Call and it will got to VM. Emails no response. High HOA fee and no service at all. Don't understand why they will do paving so often even the ground looks perfect. After they redid the paving actually it was worse than before. read more

Crummack is a top notch HOA management company. We often work together. The manager that I often work with is Melissa Yuran. She has very good work ethics and attends all the community needs very fast. Her unique style makes it a lot easier for all. I have worked with a lot of HOA managers, and it is extremely rare to find people as dedicated and talented as Melissa. I am thankful for all her work, and the human side that she has in her dealings with people. read more

This HOA company is absolutely the WORST! Moving to Newport Beach from Irvine is an absolute mistake, having to deal with this company. HOA in Irvine was 5 star compares to this one and they were just okay but they did return emails and someone could actually answered my inquiry if any. This company only collects money. Nobody replied to my emails. I left so many phone messages to Airica Sento and she never once returned my calls. For those that are thinking about moving into this community, ask first about the HOA company that you need to deal with. Walk away when you find out that your community is managed by this company. It's like they're doing us a favor for managing this community and we need to beg for their assistance. read more

I have no clue what is going on with this company but people are not doing their job. I can never get a hold of our property manager and it is very irritating that no work is getting done. Even with multiple requests, issues have not been taken care of. I had to email 3 different people within the company in order to get any response back. Our community has been using Crummack Huseby for at least 6 years now and the experience with this company has been going down hill. I don't understand how it took them over a year to address janitorial issues we had. Why is it that the only way I can get any response from this company is to complain through our HOA board members or by contacting senior manager that is not even our property manager? HOA is a joke. You have to pay extra fees for everything. In the process of trying to get our backyard landscaping "APPROVED" (which cost us $120 for them to "REVIEW" it + they take 30 DAYS to respond each time). What a joke + money grab. This is our property management company for Upland Central and it seems like it is an organization that is always working for continual improvement to be better. In layman terms, it is doing a lot of "on the job" training to see what systems and processes work best and will figure it out and seems to be getting better. The glue for us at least is Jessica Robertson who does Yeoman duty and works at warped speed to make the customer happy. She has been pro active , responsive, fastidious in her approach and seems to understand what others before her failed at which includes simple return of emails and calls! She also understands the vendors who have taken advantage of situations that they were entrusted to and have taken their own liberties which are peeves of the homeowners. read more

This company has been somewhat understanding of homeowners with homeschooled children amid the pandemic, which is why I am giving them one star. However I have concerns that this HOA outright perpetuates racist practices and ignores such complaints when they're brought up. In my neighborhood, I've noticed BIPOC families become targets of unequal treatment. I'm adding to my previous review and would like to say, Margo, I have reached out to your company in the past. I believe it was either you or Sandra that I asked to speak to. The conversation went nowhere and what I had to say seemed like it didn't matter because I was just told "be the better person." The absolute WORST property management company we've ever had the DISPLEASURE to have to deal with continuously! Their employee Robert Spencer is supposed to be the "manager" for our community in Mission Viejo called Eastbrook. He has NEVER once returned a single one of my phone calls. Their manager Marie Hartrick similarly promised a call that NEVER came. We went through a remodel of the entire house inside and out - and Robert returned every phone call from our System Pavers contractor - but none of mine. This management company has also promised to replace our common area tree - IN WRITING - well over a year ago - and that remains undone. The reasons are ridiculous and have been proven to be untrue (even from the utility companies they called Dig Alert in an attempt to avoid doing their job - which is to maintain the common area and all its plants/trees). I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy on Earth! read more

I'm a contractor and my past experiences were usually not that great with HOAs. Usually takes forever to get responses of any kind. Getting plans approved wasn't fun at all. But working with Melissa @ CH was a very pleasant experience. She changed my point of view towards HOAs completely. She was very responsive and informative. C-H misled our HOA Board on a side-yard fence issue.; I complained and they sent in their legal team to support their position. Neither appeared to have read our CCR's, Rules/Regs, etc. I submitted a copy of my recent property survey and the exact CCR wording mandating each property owner must maintain their fence. I had submitted an application to replace my fence (wood to vinyl) which they denied for 5 months, saying my neighbor had to give her approval. Untrue! Even our ARC committee was confused with this decision. (Neighbor's tree pushed wooden fence over.) I hired a real estate attorney ($$$) who supported my already submitted documentation. CR then gave permission for my fence replacement. All unnecessary, unprofessional and added tension to a volatile neighbor situation. I agree with prior comments about lack of response and ill-prepared staff. read more

From my first email and phone call to Lauren she was helpful, understanding to my urgent needs, friendly and knowledgeable. She came into am issue that started before her and quickly got her arms around it, gave me the details/direction/forms needed and was more than prompt in helping come to a resolution.
