I was pretty upset when I wrote the review below. While what I described below did happen I am glad to say Crumbl stepped up and made an effort to win back my business - which they have. The cookies are delicious and my experience at this shop yesterday was a great improvement. So I am modifying my negative review to a positive review. Thank you Crumbl Santee! I will continue to be your customer. I ordered 8 cookies, and after a 25 minute wait I left with 2 cookies. The store ran out of 2 of the 8 cookies I ordered. With no suitable substitute they offered to cancel the cookies. Meanwhile I saw 2 cookies not available on the app. I ordered those two cookies and asked them to put the cookies in the order with the 6 other cookies I was waiting on. Which I believe they agreed to. 10 minutes later they called my name and presented 2 cookies. "Where are my other 6 cookies?" "Oh when we cancelled your order it was the whole order." Meanwhile more cookies sold out. So after a long wait I left the store with only 2 cookies. The cookies order was intended to be dessert for a dinner I was on the way to attend. Embarrassing. There was no effort made by the store to correct this oversight. They were apathetic and shrugged their shoulders. Huge disappointment. The cookies are great but the way I was treated was simply terrible. read more

hate to be that person, but I always come here and the service is phenomenal, but tonight around 940pm. I did not have that experience, I wasn't welcomed in, I see the lady in the back on her phone hiding behind the wall. And two other ladies working hard trying to proceed to get the orders out. I didn't like how I spotted the lady on the phone and then she proceed to go back to work. I looked right at her while she made eye contact with me and right after she started to scratch her head, and didn't even care to wash her hands after that. That's so gross. I asked the older lady for the manager after she showed me my cookie like they usually do, and she said she could help me I told her what happened and she was sorta arguing with me. Like hello you work in the food industry put yourself in my shoes how would you feel if you were in my state of mind. It's super disturbing to see that then leave away disappointed. I have ordered via the app twice from this specific store. Both times they failed to include the card stating who the cookies were from and the greeting. Never had this issue with any of the other Crumbl stores I order from in multiple states. This is beyond obnoxious because the person I send it to has zero idea who sent the cookies. I have to reach out to them and claim the gift then tell them over the phone what I wanted to say. Defeats the purpose of a cute surprise with the awkwardness of them asking publicly who sent the cookies. read more

Cookies are good and I might have a slight addiction... BUT the customer service sucks as of lately. Last time I came I did curbside pickup and we waited (literally) 50mins for our cookies. Until my husband went inside and they said "oh my bad" and handed us cold cookies. Today I come and I placed 2 order. I was going to just try a specific cookie, but changed my mind and ordered some more. The employee brought out the first order and I told him i had another one and he got an attitude and walked away. He came back and rudely said "let me check the date on the receipt" after I already showed it to him once. He said "people just try to steal cookies all the time.." okay...? Slow and expensive. They're just cookies and undercooked at that. I just don't get it. I can make peanut butter cookies like theirs.

I really want to like this place but it's way to inconsistent considering the price. 70% of the time I go there my cookie/cookies are severely undercooked, essentially chewing flour sugar and water and mixing it myself in my mouth. I have asked for extra time in the oven so they are edible and cooked and I was told the cookies are essentially "standardized" meaning no substitutions or alterations.The price of 15$ for 4 raw cookies isn't worth the calories or the money in my own personal opinion. I'd recommend grabbing the family buying some ingredients and making them yourselves ;) read more

Visit date 05/25/2023 Cookies were ok definitely sweet but had a taste like they'd been in the fridge. I went here to get my Son a dozen cookies instead of doing the traditional cake deal. When I walked in I noticed about 6 workers, no one greeted me no one said "hello or welcome in, if you have an questions just let me know" Zilch. So I was forced to order on the kiosk. Keep in mind I have never been here but I was able to figure it all out. I guess they are very limited on the flavors either that or they have certain flavors they use every week so if you have a favorite cookie, you might want to call ahead to see if they have it! 12 dozen cookies came out to $46 when I was done ordering and paying I went back over to where the workers kept talking amongst them selfs and said "HI CAN I ASK YOU GUYS A QUESTION !!?" I had to be a little loud because they were literally all talking amongst each other pretty much ignoring me. One of the ladies with blonde hair turned around and said yes, she was friendly I just couldn't catch her name. " I said are you able to write names on cookies tor birthdays?" One of the girls from the pack behind the blonde girl that I was speaking to her name was (Coral) looked at me rolled her eyes and said "nooo" like I just asked her to clean my toilet or something kinda like one of the previous comments that stated they treat the customers like they are doing us a favor lol, the blonde girl was trying to smoothen Corals comment out and said "no, and the reason is our tools make it hard to make lettering smaller" I said OK I was just wondering the blonde girl said we do put a happy birthday sticker on the box. I said OK great I would love that for my order . I ignored Corals comment and her dirty ass mug on her face, given it was my kiddos birthday I didn't wanna argue. I just waited for my $46 order of cookies and horrible service. When my order came out, coral is the one that handed it to me, she must've heard me say it was my son's birthday there was no happy birthday sticker on the box. I had to ask for it when coral handed me the box I said, and where is the happy birthday sticker?? She said oh hold on .... Her voice was very monotone and rude. Someone really needs to have a sit down with this group. I will be calling and speaking to a manager. I see previous reviews before mine and it looks like it's not the first time that people aren't greeted when we walk in. Not enforcing masks and it's very small and crowded inside. Tried to go in with my 1 year old and felt very uncomfortable. While in line, I tried to use the kiosk and neither of them were working. The girl that was behind me in line but went ahead of me bc I was using the kiosk turns around and says, "Oh, they never work." Okay, so maybe a heads up instead of passing me? Or a heads up from the several employees? Between that and nobody wearing masks in such a confined space with such a wait, I chose to leave. It's nothing like the Point Loma location. The basis expectations lack. Ordered for pick up on Friday at 5pm for a 530pm pick up and when we arrived at 5:45pm the order wasnt ready and was told it would take 15 minutes. So we asked to cancel it and the server said no. You can call the manager. He gave me the name Flo. Got home called and the person who answered the phone said was the manager and she would tell the owners what happened. Later I saw the refund show up. Great!! I can reorder on Saturday. Saturday comes around.. that's today!!! I place my order at 3:50pm. My order said it would be ready by 4:20pm. Got there at 4:40pm. Server comes out and said it would take 6 more minutes or if I wanted two other flavors. No I would wait the 6 minutes. 6 minutes comes and goes.. I wait for another 15 minutes while my car is running. Nada. I walk in and the only one that even bothers to acknowledge the line of people is a sweet lady named Paula. I tell her what's up.. she looks for my order is told it just went out to my car so I follow it with Paula running behind me. Offering me a free cookie coupon for the next time. In all my rush I was a bit rude to her but she was cheery and chipper and told me to come by on Monday for some free cookies. I really appreciate it but at this point coming here twice with the same issue is going to deter me from purchasing from here again. Thank you Paula for your kindness and sorry for being a "Kevin". I have been to many other locations and this one was definitely where we had the best experience. We came after dinner to celebrate Veterans Day. We ordered our cookies on the iPad and when they were ready Cody brought them out to us. Cody was awesome!! He was so welcoming and genuinely kind. Placed an order for Saturday 1/8 online to pickup at Santee Location. Sent my daughter to go in and pickup order. Location was busy as there was a crowd in front. My daughter came out 10 min later with the wrong order and only 4 cookies when i ordered 6. My daughter said they handed her the wrong order twice and then finally told her just leave. When she told me this I had to then go in the store and tell them. The gentleman at the front told me there had been two Jennifer and she apparently took my order. I said that's fine I would just like my correct order with 6 cookies. This location definitely needs to train employees to be more customer service friendly as the employees kept making comments out in the open on why there were so many people here as they were bothered by that? These people are the ones keeping this place busy... wow not expecting such a negative demeanor all around this place!!!! read more

Customer service was super friendly, the vibe of the store was super cool! The Twix cookie I purchased was pretty good. It was pricey at almost 5 dollars but it was big. I didn't quite care for the chilled aspect because the temperature made it taste a bit stale but I would totally come back and try a room temperature or warm one some time! I was so excited for the Crumbl to open so close to me. I want to love this new Crumbl in santee but the cookie quality is not as great as the cookies from the Point Loma location. The cookies still taste yummy, however the execution is subpar. The Point Loma location is my standard. I've been to the santee location twice, the cookies were not as uniform in size, and my dulce de leche was missing the cream cheese swirl on top. Maybe there's a "new store" learning curve to creating this magical treats? read more

Wouldn't recommend. Cashier there had something against me existing. I went there twice and never understood the reason behind frosting on cookies. It gross and sweeter than a sugar bear. The store gave me claustrophobia form how tiny it is and when you walk in all you smell is butter and sugar. I gained ten pounds just breathing in that store. The only thing that wake okay was their snickerdoodle when it was cold. I highly don't recommend eating the cookies warm because they feel raw and sweeter than they would be when they are cold. read more

I read up on the reviews which seemed to be up and down but I thought I would see for myself. I bought a 6 pack. 5 of the current offerings (2 chocolate chip). I thought they were very good and I would order again. My husband thought they were "just ok". Some of the reviewers mentioned that they were doughy. I wouldn't say doughy but they are soft in the middle with a crisp chewy outside. I liked that about them. A variety of textures. One poster complained of an off taste. I think I can identify it. Baking Soda is obviously used as a leavening agent in their recipes. You either like that taste or you don't. I didn't have any ordering issues but I went in person at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday. All the varieties of the week were on hand for purchase. One thing that did really impress me was how clean the production area was. Not a spec of anything on the floor. You look right into it when you order. I really like to see clean spaces where food production is concerned. The staff was nice too. read more

I have never had a problem at this location before. I usall buy 4 cookies. two for me and two for my brother and his wife. I alway ask for individual boxes since the cookies are not going to the same household. but for some reason today, the lady said I had to pay $0.25 per box, which was weird.
