The friend sent me a screenshot of the exact card I'd need so that all I needed was do a quick word search of the product name, click on the product listing, select the desired memory card size and quantity details, open an online account, set up my credit card details, choose a shipping method cost, then approve the purchase. The cheapest shipping was $4.01 for the $36 item, and they also charged tax. That was it! I received the boxed up item within good time. The box was free of any damage and still looked like it was a fresh, new box. This is a good vendor for memory cards. The options availability and pricing even with the shipping make shopping online here indeed a good deal. If you are on the lookout for adjusting the memory on your computer equipment, this is a very good online store to purchase from. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Not anymore. I ordered a ThunderBay 4 and an 18TB drive totaling $1,196.51. UPS left it unattended at my door with no signature required, and it was stolen shortly after. I have Ring footage of the theft and filed a police report. OWC's response: they only require a signature on orders over $1,200. My order was $3.49 under that threshold, so it was left on the porch. That threshold isn't stated in their published terms, which only say "most deliveries require a signature." There's no option at checkout to require one yourself. After multiple emails, the police report, video evidence, and an escalation, OWC still refused a replacement or refund. They also declined to file a claim with UPS. If you order expensive gear from OWC, know that you're carrying the risk the moment it hits your doorstep, and they won't help you if something goes wrong. We ran several diagnostic tests and they all pointed to a FAILING HARD DRIVE. We found Computerzone USA on YELP and called and was told by the owner Sultan Shariff to come in anytime for a hard drive replacement - for which he quoted a price. Upon pick up we noticed several files missing and most other files, pictures, and on-screen icons all jumbled - nor could we open our voluminous MS Outlook. Yikes - so much stress! Best I could tell, he tried to install some upgraded software that caused that problem. He quickly volunteered to fix it upon returning the computer next day and to mirror the EXACT INSTALLATION we had previously. His second try worked flawlessly, everything worked EXACTLY AS BEFORE, no more jumbled or missing files ... all resulting in this MOST HAPPY CUSTOMER. I wish…read moreI was exaggerating, but I dropped off my gaming laptop with a pretty gnarly screen dislocation on it. They took apart the entire device, screen and all, only for them to realize it was unfixable due to the way the motherboard was built. My laptop was at least usable before, now it has no screen and is basically split into two pieces. What's even worse is that I went to discuss what happened and the store manager had the audacity to ask "Do you want to call him to see what he wants to do?" Umm.....bold assumption to think that I was not the one using the device. I then corrected him that I was the owner of the device, not any male related to me. He remarked that I'm one of just a few pc gamers that are female. Even if that may be true, it was wildly unprofessional and off putting. I'll never forget that icky feeling I had when I left the store. He didn't bother to refund me the service cost even though all he did was take it apart and destroy what I had left of it. I'm sure these guys are reliable otherwise, but I don't think I'll be back based on this doozy of an experience.
