fried fish and rice in a styrofoam container

It was a Sunday night with practically all stores closed so I decided to venture Uber Eats and order from Crown Fried Chicken. I ended up going for the Cheese Fries and The 6pc Boneless Hot Wings over Rice combo. The only true way to mess up fries in general is if they are undercooked or soggy and mine were neither. They did not mess up the "layup" order for what it's worth. As for the combo, it was completely lackluster. The chicken was borderline dry and the small portion size for the money ($11.25) didn't make it any better. Lets just say the pictures on Uber Eats can be misleading. All in all, it was pretty below average food that would not entice me to order again from.

    Biscuits???? No dinner rolls smh

Christ! If I could give a million negative stars I would. My husband and I are staying at a hotel this was all Uber Eats offered besides Sonic etc. The onion rings soggy and cold obviously not fresh, the 21 fried shrimp box with fries all the fries soggy not even salt, and shrimp didn't even taste like shrimp. We ordered the 10 piece chicken mix meal. They included 2 2 oz shots of instant mashed potatoes. A tiny container of coleslaw and idk what their version of "biscuits " are but these were definitely dinner rolls asked for butter packets and none no butter even on the rolls. The chicken is ok juicy cooked well needs some salt, paprika, pepper and garlic maybe a touch of some cajun seasoning what a waste of money. We will not be going back.

Ohhhh and when u go Italian on the menu it means fries in it!!! ! This is paradise for all u hippies! I could go on and on how bad the food is for you but it just taste soooo good when it touches your lips!

There's enough seating in here for about 15 ppl.

White girls love crown fried chicken. Always ask for a fresh batch even if it means ordering a few more pieces than you were anticipating

Food isn't bad considering it is cheap and fried. The people that go are the problem . Loud, obnoxious, and ignorant.

Its English name comes from a Greek legend: Zeus had an affair with a beautiful woman named Io. When Hera, his wife, discovered his infidelity, she turned Io into a cow and created a horsefly to sting her on the rump. Io jumped clear across the strait. Thus, "bous" = "cow" and "poros" = "crossing place": Bosphorus = "crossing place of the cow." Located off of busy Franklin Avenue in Nutley, my partner, our friends, and I have decided on our dinner at this family-owned-and-run BYOB establishment, which has been open since 1995. A reservation was made for a party of 4 by calling their restaurant. Upon arrival after three years, we were welcomed by Nora, the owner, and made our way to a table by the piano inside, evoking a cozy, thoughtfully designed, upscale vibe with music playing softly. Their menu features Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. For starters, we decided on the Puffed Rill Pastry and Grape Leaves. Our main meal consisted of all lamb dishes (Lamb Shish Kebab, Beyti Kebab, Lamb Chops, and Lamb Sauté). Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a beautifully presented dish. Everything was authentically made with love here. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, as they looked amazing, but some of us were in a rush. It's definitely on the higher end cost but worth the taste. Our visit ended with a hug and a piece of candy.

From a food perspective, our meal initiated with a basket of some of the best rolls I had ever had. They were large, fluffy, and doughy with a hint of crispiness from a light toasting. We then shared the Veal and Beef Meatball, which was gigantic but still managed to have the ideal texture. It was also beautifully seasoned and served in what the chef called his "grandma's plum tomato sauce", which was divine! The sauce was thick and hearty, so when that was paired with pecorino cheese and basil oil, it really made for a fabulous dish. I even cut off a small piece to put inside my roll with a spoonful of sauce - chef's kiss! After that, we enjoyed some of the house-made pasta dishes, tasting each in a family-style format. The Squid Ink Bucatini was tossed with scallops, shrimp, and jumbo lump crab in a seafood tomato sauce. I did not love the briny finish to the sauce or that some of the scallops were chewy. The Tagliatelle with Duck Bolognese, tomatoes, and carrots was good, but I prefer my pomodoro sauce without the addition of a "light cream". Lastly, the special Spaghetti came with lobster, crab, and peas in vodka sauce. That one was definitely my favorite. While I do not love peas, the sauce was rich and flavorful. Across these last two dishes, I thought the pasta was a tad overcooked and could have been more al dente; the bucatini consistency was more inline with my preferences. Overall, I thought the food at Laboratorio Kitchen was above average, but that the service and atmosphere helped elevate the place. I would definitely consider going back to try some of their other dishes.

The fries were nicely cooked and salted, but $8 was a lot for the amount given. $4 would have made more sense. And then yes, I'm even going to mention the iced tea. Because there are not very many restaurants I go to that offer a freshly brewed iced tea, which is one of my favorite drinks. It really makes the meal perfect and I appreciate a freshly brewed tea vs a canned one. Staff is nice and brought water for my dog too.

It's very much like an old diner, but more upscale. I ordered the kale and wheatberry salad, which was very good, especially as it had grapefruit on it. I would've liked if it had more pieces of grapefruit, as two was very little, and I also would've liked if they had a stronger vinaigrette to pair it with. My boyfriend, on the other hand, order the pancakes and make them chocolate chip chips, and I have to say those are by far the best pancakes I've ever had. They tasted sort of like a very moist cake, but not too sweet that it is overwhelming. We will truly be coming back and try more things from their menu, especially excited to try their dinner items.

I know there's a million Halal spots popping up, and I will admit I'm very, very picky when it comes to platters. I miss the good ol' days on 53rd street in NYC... I came by around 10pm and was served quickly by a friendly employee. They have platters, burgers, wraps, wings, chicken tenders, fries, etc. I ordered the chicken rice platter (~$13.50). They cook the meat fresh on the grill and then you choose your toppings at the salad bar (olives, onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc.). It's a bit pricier than other places, but the portion size is huge. The container felt HEAVY lol. It's just a shame it went to waste because I really didn't enjoy the food. I only finished about half of it before I tossed the rest. The white sauce was almost flavorless and was VERY watery. The chicken wasn't as well-seasoned. No distinct spices or aroma. Every bite left me with a very greasy and salty taste in my mouth. The side salad was just okay. I was disappointed. The only saving grace was the rice... it was fluffy and the best part of the whole platter. Not sure if I came on an off night or...? Don't let my review stop you from trying. It might just not be the Halal spot for me.

This is definitely a place to bring your side piece... your main girl will never know. Unless your main girl is a TJ MAXX shopper, that's right across the street, in that case be cautious taking your side piece here.
