I purchased quite a bit of tile from Capco recently, and can't say that I'd be in a rush to go back. On the plus side, their showroom is gorgeous - they have several kitchen and bathroom tableaus which allow you to get some idea of how certain tiles will work together. The customer service wasn't great. The employees frequently seemed annoyed to be there and weren't all that pleasant to deal with. Nothing like the awesome people over at Arizona Tile. As for the tile itself - they sent pieces that should not have made it through their quality control process. Pieces were chipped not only on the corners, but sometimes on the face of the tile itself. This was a "special order" tile, so we had to make due with what they sent in order to get the job done on time. However, at the prices they charge I do expect good quality. This isn't freaking Floor and Decor, after all. read more

Never felt so disrespected & belittled in my life! Didn't know I had to be a tile expert to enter the doors at Crossville. When asking for help i was met with eye rolling & was told I may want to try Lowe's or Home Depot. After asking for the owner he said I must have "misunderstood ". I would suggest not wearing jeans & a sweatshirt if you want to be treated with respect in this place! Drove my Mercedes down the road to find someone who was more down to earth! read more

I recently updated my kitchen and was referred to Crossville by my granite contractor, and it was a great recommendation. They have a beautiful show room with a good selection, but what I appreciated most was the design advice I received. Venus was awesome! She was incredibly helpful and gave me some great tips, and I ended up with a look that I love. She patiently answered all my questions, and I never felt rushed to make a decision. It couldn't have been a better experience. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I think they're a little more expensive than some of the big shops like Floor and Decor, but for me the personalized service was more than worth it. read more

This is a beautiful store. All the tiles are displayed either on the floor or on the walls. The showroom is big and they have a few set ups (about 3 kitchens and 4 bathrooms or so). Then, there is a corner where you can actually look at each tile individually and spread them on a table (which has carpet on it, very nice touch, other store, you put it on granite or other tile and you're always afraid to mess something up). Anyway, there some people are ready to help out. Those people also make a list of samples you want to check out. Then you go get them and they are due back in 2 weeks. This may be pricier than other store, however service is great, it seems like the tiles are of good quality and the selection is great. read more

So I'll give them the fact that they have a breathtaking showroom. I almost felt the urge to run home and change into something a little nicer when I walked in, that being said, there's where the good ends. Their customer service was beyond horrendous. I came in on my lunch break and expected to spend maybe 30 min there just getting some ideas. I literally waited 45 min before somebody would even acknowledge my presence. Granted there were about 5 people ahead of me, they only had 1 person working the floor. When it was finally my turn I specified I wanted Spanish-style tile with painted designs on them, and after a 45 min wait all she told me was "oh you need to go back and talk to our artist"...gee lady you could have told me that 45 min ago when I was contemplating bashing my head into that beautifully tiled countertop. Ok so went back to talk to the artist, she showed me some of her work, $6-8 for one 4x4 painted tile, a little pricy but not unreasonable. So I told her I needed 25 12x12 tiles for our patio....she goes, and I quote "Oh well those are a bit larger so they'll run you $100 a piece." I about choked on my gum and spit it in her face. Never have I been more tempted to give somebody a drug test on the spot. Woman was smoking crack plain and simple. If the 4x4 are $8, PLEASE explain to me the justification of charging $100 for a 12x12. It's not like I was hiring the ghost of Picasso to paint my tiles. I can't speak for the generic tile they have, but hell I'd rather have one of those animals in the zoo that paint with their mouths design my tile, than give that lunatic a cent of my money read more

Just left service department with possibly the poorest experience I have had in years. As an aside, the driveway was not shoveled making getting into the parking lot difficult. I spent over $60,000 with this place when I built my home and today I went in to get replacement caulk for a few rooms to repair. I brought in the old caulk tubes from here and the service guys tells me he does not have them. I ask if he can help me find suitable new ones and he essentially tosses a color book at me and goes about his business. I could go on but this will be the last time I step foot in this place. read more

Note: My visit was made on a Saturday morning, so your experience may be different if made by appointment on the weekday. The first thing you'll notice is the odd location, but it ends up serving this place well because there is a TON of granite slab to choose from. In order not to get lost in the mess, I would recommend setting an appointment or working directly with your contractor or fabricator. However, if you are like my GF and I, we were able to browse with ease, find a slab that we loved and walk out knowing that we made the right decision. There is also a nice showroom to help you with title and backsplash options for your bathroom. While the examples installed are limited, there are plenty of samples to look through and touch. I can also say Amy was bright and cheerful on a Saturday morning, even though our builder had not prepared her for our visit. Oh well, nothing can be perfect, but CAPCO is as close to it as possible. read more

I've been in the tile business for the last three years, and now that I'm retiring from it I can be honest about some of the vendors I've worked with. From a professional standpoint, Capco is very hit or miss. The good: Beautiful showroom Gorgeous, unique, high quality products Appropriate prices based on quality Great reps for vendors like where I worked The bad: Horrendous customer service...even being in the field I have yet to call an order in and not be put on hold for at least 5-10 minutes. When I have a customer/client waiting this is unacceptable and no other local tile suppliers are so rude. I have even lost orders because of them. Snotty attitude (many of my clients complained of being treated horrible by the showroom staff) Difficult to navigate item #s Not very knowledgeable customer service/staff So although Capco's products are worth checking out, you may be best off avoiding direct contact. I suggest going through a local vendor who will offer better service for their product. read more

We had a wonderful experience with Barb helping us pick out quartz for a counter, tile for our floor and she reminded us about grout colors too! We were in three times and Barb's suggestions and patience were wonderful. The selection and atmosphere at Capco make shopping for tile and stone easy and pleasurable. I own a small construction company specializing in custom kitchens and baths. My client worked with Crossville Studios on the design aspect of the project and ordered her tile through Crossville. The first batch of tile arrived with half of a box broken. We then ordered more to keep the project going and paid expedited shipping. The tile took 4 weeks to arrive with very few updates from the company. Again, 3 of the 12 tiles were broken. The company offered a refund and is now not answering our messages or returning our calls. This non responsiveness caused the project to drag out way longer than necessary not to mention that my company is now strapped with the cost of the tile that was 4 weeks late. My recommendation is to find a company who will actually work to get the tile on time, not broken and believe that customer service is king! read more

I checked out several other tile stores in the Denver area while planning for remodels to our bath and foyer and settled on Capco because of the nice showroom, attractive tiles, and good customer service. I simply can't understand the characterizations of Capco's service as "horrendous." My experience was the opposite. I visited Capco on a half-dozen occasions. The salespeople were consistently available to answer questions, helpful, and pleasant. Without displaying any signs of impatience, they spent hours helping me select tiles, choose grout colors, and figure out the layout of the tiles. They had creative ideas I never would have thought of on my own. In addition, I have only the highest compliments for Capco's artist, Cynthia. One reviewer's nasty comments were completely out of line (and make me wonder who was smoking crack). Cynthia created a number of samples of decorative tiles to serve as inlays in my bath and foyer. The samples all perfectly matched the pictures I'd given her. She was great about keeping in touch with me, and the prices she quoted and charged for the custom tiles were very reasonable. The tiles I purchased from Capco have been installed in my house, and they look great. While Capco might not be as fancy as Ann Sacks and its location is a bit odd, it's a quality business. read more

In not so many words you can't beat Capco Tile and Stone's level of customer service, products and experience. I have been buying material/granite/tile for over 15 years and I will keep on buying from them. Capco, 15 years ago was just a hole in the wall only a block away from where they are now, they have built their business into one of Colorado's best places to buy exclusive tile. You cannot get the same tile anywhere else, their exclusive tile is EXCLUSIVE. You can try your luck at Home stores, some tile wholesalers and get tile that is not square and are priced to high for the quality. If you want good quality tile you have to pay a little more, it's just that simple. The showroom is extremely nice and is constantly updated to match the products they offer. Capco's customer service is top notch and I don't agree with another post implying that the employee's look down on their guests. Their showroom is set up in a manner that allows customers to explore products and the many possibilities of tile, providing creative ideas. You get what you pay for and the tile is beautiful. They have all levels of tile meeting your specific budget. If you can, try to work with an installer who may be able to provide discounted pricing. In my 15 years of working with many brands of tile, I have found that Capco tile is the easiest to work with and yields the best results. I would highly recommend Capco to anyone! Rock D. read more

Mixed Experience with staff and showroom. The Good: A spacious showroom offers a wide range of tile materials, styles, sizes and prices. Several beautifully displayed bath and kitchen vignettes showcase their products. Design help is available to homeowners by appointment and for walk-ins. Full-size tile samples can be purchased to take home and money refunded upon return. A backroom carries discontinued, limited quantity and discounted tiles. MIXED: Upon entering the front showroom, if you don't have an appointment, the receptionist assigns a designer to help you. The service varies from very good to average. Once you've decided upon tiles, the designer writes down style numbers, and you head to the back. The back office staff is busy working phones and handling other duties. You have to wait until someone frees up to write an invoice, take credit info, find samples, etc. And, you go through the same process upon return of any samples. As a process, it's a bit awkward compared to other showrooms. The front showroom is dimly lit, with north facing windows. While it's essential to take samples home to view them in your own space, the lack of natural light makes the initial selection harder. Most larger floor tiles are stacked along the walls in slots. You'll need their designers to pull them out to look at them. This takes time and makes it harder to browse. As a homeowner, there are easier places to shop for tile. read more

The service was horrible and pretentious and I was the only customer in the store at the time. Gals working there seemed more concerned with cutting out sales signs then showing me tile. I've been to several tile showrooms in Denver during the past few months and Capco had the best customer service along with a excellent selection of products. Barbara, the salesperson who helped me, was very knowledgeable and provided me with the information I needed to make a selection from such a wide range of choices. She listened carefully while I explained my project and then provided helpful feedback as I weighed my options. Be forewarned if you decide to shop here. After they lost a box of tiles, delaying our shower renovation by weeks, they (Brian) promised to refund the cost which they never did after dozens of phone calls. Perhaps most concerning, one of the sales agents admitted that most boxes come off the truck with many broken tiles - which also happened to us, so check the box before you leave the shop. Better yet, shop elsewhere and save yourself a major headache. read more

It's no Ann Sacks, but it's certainly better for tile than Home Depot or Lowes. I recently learned about Capco from a friend with whom I was discussing my impending kitchen remodel. When I arrived at the store, I was impressed by its enormity. The I was a little under-whelmed by the stone and wider selection bland stuff like you see everywhere else. I persisted tho and found some good stuff! You'll find the best deals in the outlet room in back of the store. I had picked out a pricey Italian tile for $10sf and was ready to pay that price until I saw the same tile in the outlet room for under 2.50sf! It was a second, but the reason it was a second is still lost on me, and on my floor it looks like a first! read more

I had a really great experience at Capco shopping for and ultimately purchasing a marble slab. My first visit was on a Saturday it was easy to find help on the floor despite it being relatively busy. When I decided that Capco had the slab I wanted, I went back on a Monday to pick out the exact slab. They had about 10 slabs altogether, and because I was spending a good amount of money on this purchase I really wanted to carefully hand select my favorite one. Tom and Enrique were incredibly helpful and friendly, giving me all the time I needed to look at and inspect each slab individually (this was a time consuming two man job as one of them had to drive the lift thing and the other had to hook each slab). Throughout the process, Tom in particular was so gracious and encouraged me to take all the time I needed. Never once did he act annoyed or make me feel that I was taking too long or being too demanding. I really appreciated his attitude as it made all the difference in my overall experience at Capco. read more

Like others, I've been all over town shopping for tile. I'm no designer, but I have an idea of what I'm looking for and have photographs to help. I was there about 45 minutes and COULDN'T WAIT TO GET OUT OF THERE. Yes, they have a big and lovely showroom (which translates to much higher prices). But it's very discombobulated so, without help, it isn't easy to find anything or to just 'look around'. They have a lot of tile, but if you're looking for new or modern styles, look elsewhere. Capco carries the same tired and standard stuff that you see at the Home Depot. And if you want the most current trends in tile, you have to pay shipping on top of the price of the tiles. (WTF?) The reception desk passed me to a 'designer'. OMG. There are not enough words to explain how horribly and totally clueless this woman was. I told her what I was looking for, showed her a photograph and explained what room we're doing and in what style. If she went to design school, she should go and get her money refunded. She was showing me stuff that was so NOT what I was looking for. She was fumbling around like a teenager on their first date. She seemed totally out of her comfort zone, didn't know what came in what sizes and couldn't quote prices. No idea which tiles were stone and which were porcelain. What kind of care does a certain tile need? No clue. So I politely thanked her and told her I was going to just look around. What do I discover?? The exact kind of thing that I was looking for (albeit a very very small selection) on the other side of the store in the 'designer' area. However, when asked about pricing, she was clueless...pulling out books and guessing. So I just gave up and left. NOTE: I had been to a couple of places at the Denver Design Center where they were actually really helpful considering I wasn't a designer, knew their product, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for what I was looking for. Actually, they were less per SQ FT and didn't require me to pay exorbitant shipping costs. So I say skip it, unless you have extra money to blow. read more

Four years ago I went to Capco to shop for granite countertops. It was a wonderful experience and everyone was so knowledgeable and willing to help. So when I had another countertop project Capco was my first choice. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant but the experience took a down turn when I went to view slabs. I don't know what happen to this place I was very disappointed. I went out into the yard and was greeted by a man that looked like he was in a gang. He had barbed wire tattoos all over him and held a lit cigarette behind his back. He must have been a heavy smoker because he smelled heavily of smoke. I ask him if I could get a salesperson to help me but he told me that he was the customer service manager and he was to help me. Not good. I'm pretty sure I knew more about granite countertops then he did. He said he needed to look something up and I sneaked away quickly but safely. I'm giving two stars only because of the satisfying experience I had years back but I won't be back. Found everything I needed at a place called Granite Imports. read more

This review is long, long overdue. I realized the last time I was in the showroom (last month), I forgot to check in. I was reminded of this oversight when a friend of mine mentioned they purchased their tile here recently. This visit, I was there just to look around...dream if you will. My master bathroom is looking a little "rough" and I needed some ideas. Their showroom is gorgeous...almost overwhelming when you first walk in. But take a breath and... ...ask to see the huge pieces in the back if you need a counter top. It is a sea of Granite. The receptionist, like on my visit before, was very helpful and was available to get me the person I needed to talk to. And now... I'll take you back in time a few years. I met Brian Chute (He is one of the salespeople at CAPCO). We were trying (without a clue) to figure out how to tile our house. We were redoing the entire main floor (tile and carpet) and also 2 bathrooms. I had no clue...I think I mentioned that earlier. Brian helped us pick out slate, tile, grout, sealer...everything we needed. He especially was good with the color selection. (I've been told I'm colorblind, but don't believe it.) We had an installer already picked out, but I'm sure he could have helped with those questions as well. The tile looked (looks) incredible. In fact, I wish the rest of my house looked as nice. I know the next time I need tile, I'll call Brian and CAPCO. read more

I have been using Capco since 1998 because I decided to do my best to support local businesses. My experience with the employees is always positive. I recently visited their newly remodeled showroom (which looks beautiful) to select tiles for a bathroom project. After getting the help I needed from Venus, who was very knowledgable and helpful, I asked for samples. Not only did the samples arrive at the service desk very promptly, but the gentleman helping me carried them to my car for me. I was so grateful and impressed. The tile samples were heavy. I was drawn to Capco because the products they carry are unique and well priced. I also appreciate how knowledgable the employees are when I am unsure of the practicality of a particular tile I like. Recently I had a sticky situation and the warehouse manager Rex and Sue in accounting were phenomenal in handling the situation professionally as well as kindly. I walked in to Capco and was astounded by their extremely well put together showroom. We spoke with the Representative at the front desk and told her that we needed granite tile. All she heard was granite and off she sent us. We were told to grab a clip board from the back and start looking through the selection of granite slabs(not what we wanted). We asked an employee where the granite tile was and she proceeded to explain to us the difference between slabs and tiles. After about five minutes of trying to pry the information from her a light clicked and we were directed to the show room again. My girlfriend and I then stood in the granite tile department for about 15 minutes before we were helped by an associate. Her knowledge of the product was well below what I expected and they didn't have the selection that I had originally expected. After about 10 minutes we were finally able to walk out of there with our sample tile. We left Capco and will not be going back for any of our tile needs. They were disrespectful, rude, and were not 100% on the product they were selling. The service they provided was dissatisfactory and have lost a customer because of it. read more

I recently had a great experience with Capco. I am currently remodeling my kitchen, and this has been the most frustrating, confusing and longest process I have ever encountered. I went to CAPCO, completely uneducated and was helped in the slab dept by a young woman, Tara. She was so patient, understanding and knowledgeable. She educated me on pros and cons of different products and helped me make the best decisions aesthetically for my renovation. Sarah,the branch manager, and Cecily, the granite slab professional, did a fantastic job helping select our new kitchen granite. They were flexible and easy to work with and went the extra mile when newer slabs arrived off a container that were nicer than the ones we chose. Sarah called and we went down and did like the new ones more. For such a big and expensive decision we really appreciated the excellent customer care! We will use Capco again for sure. Ok, I am changing my rating because the man at the top for CAPCO, Rod, reached out after seeing the review on Yelp. He had not been aware of my month long efforts to get the repair done, and immediately took steps to correct the problem. He was VERY diligent about follow up and making certain the tile contractor had the replacement tile. It was, of course, messy and inconvenient, but I am quite happy with the outcome. We had nothing but success shopping for marble and granite at Capco. We visited a lot of tile vendors in Denver and none came close to the personal customer service we experienced with Venus Wood and Barb up front in the design center and then with Sarah Pankey and Tara Rieger in the warehouse and Joseph at the Customer Service Desk. We never felt rushed and whether it was moving slabs or working with designs until we were totally satisfied, we felt everyone was interested in us as persons...and not just another customer. The granite we liked had many slabs and the ones we wanted appeared to be at the back of the stack. No problem....Sarah and Tara and the guys in the yard could not have been more accommodating. I told them: "I hate to have you move all these slabs just so we can see the ones in the back"...and their response was: "No problem...You are our customer, and we are here to help you get just what you want!" We didn't get that kind of willing response elsewhere. Capco was also very good about ordering lot samples for us and our job was completed without a single "hitch." We ended up purchasing not only our granite and kitchen backsplash tiles at Capco but also our marble tiles for our master bath, as we found the best selection and pricing at Capco. read more
