When deciding on where to purchase carpet for our living room and bedroom, we were looking for a local small business. We saw Simply Floors was close to us and went in and met Kimberly. She was very helpful in finding two different carpet types for our different rooms. The samples that she helped us pick out at the showroom really looked good when she brought them to our house. The ordering and installation of the carpet was as simple as the previous process. The installation crew called before they arrived and moved all furniture, installed the carpet, removed the old carpet and moved the furniture back in less than 4 hours. I have been meaning to write this review for quite sometime. We purchased a new build home in October and new we wanted to remove all carpet throughout besides bedrooms and wanted to match the flooring that was already done in different parts of the house. We looked around got a few quotes but some reason we went with this company. Boy I wish I could turn back time and go anywhere else. #1 Gary never mentioned the flooring we were matching to was garbage(cheap crap hardwood flooring). That was possibly the first problem. He could have recommended another brand that looked like the same color or suggested we rip out what was already done. #2 our house was completely empty hasn't even moved in yet/hadn't even used our toilets!! Well we had a porta potty out front of our home and his workers used all 5 bathrooms-not 1 5!!! And was obvious about it. I won't go into detail but I brought it up to Gary and he apologized and guess what the next few days the same thing!!! That's rude and very unprofessional. Not to mention we are not a truck stop. #3 they kept complaining about how hard the job was!! How hard can it be? It's a house that's empty that no one ever lived in? They kept complaining about how shitty the material was but guess what they could have told us-they are floor professionals right? #4 the cuts are all over the map and large gaps and it honestly looks like a 2 year old did it. Our floor has chipped up in places and even cut me!! So terrible!! Gary was full of excuses as why it looked the way it did. We paid $10,000 for cheap ass material and only about 1500 square feet of hardwood flooring. I can't even believe these reviews. The work is below par. Maybe he is good with Carpet-it is called "Carpet Mart". We are now paying to have the worked ripped out and redone. Bye bye $10,000. I lost so much sleep over this. Please anyone reading this don't use this company for hardwood flooring/ no one should have to feel this way. read more

I had gone to another carpet store and was about to use them, then I saw Carpet Mart and More on the map when going to Lowes and Target. When I got to Carpet Mart and More, I was greeted by Mark who was very friendly. When we talked about the carpet, Mark made some great recommendations for a good quality carpet at a reasonable price. Mark was knowledgable about the carpets they sold and the manufactures they represent. Gary came out to measure and had some good ideas about the layout and where they would cut the carpet. We discussed the pro's and con's of the 12' carpet and the 15' carpet. To stay in budget, we went with the 12' carpet and, as a bonus, had very little extra when the job was done. As far as the installers, ,they showed up on time and did a very nice job. They were friendly, respectful, worked hard and cleaned up before they left. Based on my experience, I would recommend Carpet Mart and More for the quality of the carpet, value for the price and quality of service. read more

This review is long over due but I think it stands even more true now that we've had our amazing carpet from Carpet Mart and more for over two months!! I can't say enough good things about Gary and his customer service, he was able to do the in-home estimate and measurements very quickly and came on a Sunday so we could talk about our carpet options. Before having Gary and Carpet Mart come over to do the estimate, I had another local carpet company come and do an in-home estimate, and while their representative was super nice, I wanted to have other options and wanted to be able to feel some nylon carpet options (the other company did not show me ANY nylon options! As someone completely new to the idea of buying carpet, I was appalled to find out from Google after my very lengthy appointment with the other company that nylon can be a better choice for durability). Anywho - Gary brought over the specific brand nylon carpet samples I had found from some internet searches plus a TON of other similar options - both in nylon and polyester (for a variety of textures, softness levels, and price). Gary was always very upfront with pricing (all samples had the price clearly on the front, the other company had NO prices listed and no break down of any costs) and clearly explained everything to us as well. We decided to move forward with getting our entire house carpeted with Carpet Mart and more and couldn't be more pleased with the results! We have a two story home and the stairs look absolutely perfect. They had a two man team and they were efficient, polite, and did great work. I saw a review on here about someone having to help them lift the carpet, and I can't imagine their team doing that - trust me, they did all the heavy lifting and removed all the old carpet as well. On a side note, in between receiving the official estimate for the carpet and officially moving forward with Carpet mart, I did request an official estimate from the other carpet company for the exact same carpet we ended up purchasing (I was curious!). The other company offered a "Free installation" promo - let me tell you this was absolute lies!! The other carpet company estimate was nearly a $1,000 more, and that was with their "Free installation". I did e-mail Gary prior to installation about any promotions for free installation and he wrote me an awesome and honest e-mail saying nothing in life is free, and that anyone offering free installation will just tack the price onto the carpet, and he was more than correct. I really appreciated his response and his humor, while also not being offended by me asking. TL;DR - You won't be disappointed with Carpet Mart's quality and installation, and Gary will make your project that much easier. Thank you!! We love our Phenix carpet! read more

Well I was avoiding writing a review because I was trying to go the route if you have nothing nice to say... but I would like to save someone else the trouble. I ordered carpet from them and turns out that the carpet I wanted was in production, not mentioned when I had the quote done or when I called to officially put my deposit down. I had to follow up a couple times as I was working with a tight move in schedule. The one positive thing is that Gary did call to make sure that production was able to produce and ship in the right timeframe, just annoyed that that occurred less than a week before the scheduled installation. Once the day of installation came there was only one installer to do my whole upstairs and stairs. I understand people call out but not once did Gary call to communicate this despite knowing the time crunch and that movers were coming. The installer was very nice and worked hard, but relied on my husband to help carry large rolls of carpet. If my husband wasn't around, what would they have done to carry it. My brand new stair railing had two large nicks in it where the carpet strap came loose and smacked into the rail. I emailed Gary to let him know the disappointment of one installer and then my husband having to assist carrying and then damage to the stair railing. He came and said they would cover it, which is great as well as the right answer since it's brand new. The next day the installer was still by himself but indicated he had a helper coming in the afternoon. The carpet got installed after two very long days but we noticed that the seems are still awkward after over a month living with them and that one of the seems is fraying. We let Gary know on 2/17 and that we were working with our warranty to get our stair rail fixed and patched so that it was done with the right stain. Only on 3/10, over 3 weeks later did Gary email is back to see if someone would be home the next day to fix. Seriously poor customer service and something we wanted to consider if we even wanted them back in our house at that point. We have found additional nicks in the stair railing from the carpet being showed up against it. It's disappointing really and caution using this company for carpet read more

Gary and his crew are horrible. They show up late leave a mess everywhere, Gary cannot remember anything. He actually sent us a threat of a lien when he had not completed the work he was supposed to come in and fix. The worst experience I've ever had. Terry at the office was informative and very responsive and got us set up with Gary to evaluate a need for carpet in our hallway, stairs and master bed. We had used another carpet company in the past and had a bad experience so I was more wary but Gary had a wealth of knowledge and put my husband and I at ease. There was an issue with the way prior laminate had been laid at the top of our stairs incorrectly in the home we bought creating a tripping hazard and they were able to offer a solution that removed the tripping hazard and looked fantastic. The actual installers were punctual - they actually showed up early which worked out well for us - and they were meticulous in the details making sure it looked perfect. My experience with the folks at Carpet Mart and More exceeded my expectations! I went to pick out flooring and within a few days the job was completed. Before the flooring arrived they started the demo on the original flooring and sent me an app to look at how the new flooring would work in my house before installing. The floor arrived within two days and once in stock the installer started immediately. I loved that I felt comfortable enough to leave the installer at my house. Really made such a difference! I even left my dog at home with him and had no worries. He worked on my floor until almost 10 pm the first day as he knew my couch was arriving and the delivery people needed the floor completed before then. I gave him a key to come and go from my house as needed. I don't think you could do this with just an company but I trusted everyone I worked with at Carpet Mart. The floors look incredible. It feels like a brand new home and I am so happy I went here and not a chain. It was much more a family type experience. Great customer service and so much hospitality! We went to the store off Quincy/Buckley and spoke to Gary about getting our floors done, both waterproof laminate lvp in the kitchen and bathroom and with getting carpet as well. Gary came out to get measurements and an estimate. He said he would call us with prices but never did. We never heard back after him coming out for maybe 15 minutes and he seemed rushed. He was supposed to come by for estimates at 930am but calls the same day saying he could not come out until after 6pm after he closed his store. Unfortunately that is not professional and concerns me about his business model. Without much promoting of his business other than seeing his bus stop seats, I would think word of mouth of positive customer service would want him to strive to set standards high but guess not. We checked out this company after going to numerous carpet outlets and retailers. Both Mark and Gary were very knowledgeable regarding carpet styles, texture and padding for our basement room. They encouraged us to take home samples, so we could get an idea of what the carpet would look like in our basement. The installation was done by the company that finished our basement since that was part of their contract, therefore, we felt we could only give a 4 star rating to Carpet Mart and More. We just had our basement re-carpeted and had a great experience with carpet mart and more. Terry was very helpful in listening to my needs and budget and directing me to carpets that would fit my needs. My carpet and installed within 2 weeks. Alex and his team were here on time and had my whole basement and bedrooms carpeted/vacuumed, cleaned up in about 9 hours. We are so happy with how it looks and would definitely recommend purchasing carpet from them. This was the best experience I had with all my remodeling and renovations. A friend recommended Gary at Carpet Mart and More after her replaced the carpet in her entire home. He listened to my needs and wants and gave me the best options. I was nervous doing this all on my own, but he is such a good man, that I trusted and respected him immediately. We had a small job, two bathrooms, and planned to use your basic linoleum. When we called the shop, the production manager offered to swing by the house with some samples and to take measurements. He was there within 20 minutes, did his thing and left the samples, including a plank laminate product we'd never heard of. We went into the shop the next day to place the order and the work was done in short order and well within budget. We will use Carpet Mart and More for another project as well. read more
