See the gaps? Also the lifting? Only 3 months!!
    Kris L.

I have been meaning to write this review for quite sometime. We purchased a new build home in October and new we wanted to remove all carpet throughout besides bedrooms and wanted to match the flooring that was already done in different parts of the house. We looked around got a few quotes but some reason we went with this company. Boy I wish I could turn back time and go anywhere else. #1 Gary never mentioned the flooring we were matching to was garbage(cheap crap hardwood flooring). That was possibly the first problem. He could have recommended another brand that looked like the same color or suggested we rip out what was already done. #2 our house was completely empty hasn't even moved in yet/hadn't even used our toilets!! Well we had a porta potty out front of our home and his workers used all 5 bathrooms-not 1 5!!! And was obvious about it. I won't go into detail but I brought it up to Gary and he apologized and guess what the next few days the same thing!!! That's rude and very unprofessional. Not to mention we are not a truck stop. #3 they kept complaining about how hard the job was!! How hard can it be? It's a house that's empty that no one ever lived in? They kept complaining about how shitty the material was but guess what they could have told us-they are floor professionals right? #4 the cuts are all over the map and large gaps and it honestly looks like a 2 year old did it. Our floor has chipped up in places and even cut me!! So terrible!! Gary was full of excuses as why it looked the way it did. We paid $10,000 for cheap ass material and only about 1500 square feet of hardwood flooring. I can't even believe these reviews. The work is below par. Maybe he is good with Carpet-it is called "Carpet Mart". We are now paying to have the worked ripped out and redone. Bye bye $10,000. I lost so much sleep over this. Please anyone reading this don't use this company for hardwood flooring/ no one should have to feel this way.

Terry at the office was informative and very responsive and got us set up with Gary to evaluate a need for carpet in our hallway, stairs and master bed. We had used another carpet company in the past and had a bad experience so I was more wary but Gary had a wealth of knowledge and put my husband and I at ease. There was an issue with the way prior laminate had been laid at the top of our stairs incorrectly in the home we bought creating a tripping hazard and they were able to offer a solution that removed the tripping hazard and looked fantastic. The actual installers were punctual - they actually showed up early which worked out well for us - and they were meticulous in the details making sure it looked perfect. Great service all around and we would definitely use them again.

During the project! Very tidy anytime he wasn't working on the install

Excellent customer service and quality work. Please check with this well-run small local business before going to the big stores.

For more than a year, we've wanted to replace the flooring on our first floor. We had dark hardwood…read morefloors and then carpet in the the living room area (that was destroyed by a foster puppy). Our vision was for a more open feel with consistent flooring throughout the entire floor (and lighter colored floors). Floors by Tomorrow to the rescue!! Initially, I used Yelp to start a new project, which is a great feature because you can just write up your project once and then send it to multiple contractors/businesses to get quotes. Of course in this case, they still need to come measure the space before they can provide a quote, but it's a convenient way to get things going! This whole process took half a year though... because, life. But we got a quote from one contractor via Yelp and then one through Lowe's. There were pros and cons to both (cost, amount of time/days it would take to finish, who would pick up the materials, etc.). I thought to revisit the Yelp contractors and reached back out to Floors by Tomorrow to get a quote. Right away, Dan got in touch with me and scheduled the initial consult to provide a quote. When he came, he was willing to work with our budget (and the two other quotes we had received). But what made him the best was that he literally scheduled for the project to complete the next day -- "Floors by Tomorrow" is right! We actually needed to schedule two days out because we needed a day to move all the furniture into the garage. Staff came right on time in the morning and finished by 6pm in the evening. They took off our baseboards and put them back on at the end, installed transitions, and even added plywood panels to the previously carpeted area (in order to keep the floor even). There was quite a bit of dust afterward (since they were cutting inside the house) but overall we could see they did their best to sweep and leave things as clean as they could. It really has transformed our house! And we will definitely reach back out when we are ready to replace the carpets on our second floor!

ZERO STARS IF I COULD…read more Our experience with Carpet Exchange has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. After 4 years of trying to get the company to take responsibility, I feel obligated to share exactly what happened. We had LVP flooring installed by Carpet Exchange by Jan, the original installer. Within just EIGHT MONTHS, the corners of the flooring started lifting and the planks began separating. We reported the problems LESS THAN ONE YEAR AFTER INSTALLATION. We did not wait four years to complain. We reported the issue while the flooring was still relatively new and repeatedly tried to get it addressed. Unfortunately, getting Carpet Exchange to actually resolve the issue became a four-year nightmare. The original manager we dealt with, Laura, was, in our experience, rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the process. At one point, an inspector came out through Laura to evaluate the flooring. According to the current manager, Tyler Berrett, that inspector was independent, and Carpet Exchange does not have access to the inspection report. After years of getting nowhere, the issue eventually made its way to Tyler. Tyler acknowledged that there were installation issues with our flooring and told us he would "make it right." For the first time in years, we thought someone was finally going to take ownership. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Tyler also told us that we were not the only customers who had experienced installation issues with Jan, the original installer, and that there had also been problems with customers trying to get issues resolved through Laura. Most recently, Pablo, another installer, came out to evaluate the flooring. Installation concerns were again recognized, including issues with the subfloor and how the flooring had been installed. His recommendation to Tyler was that the floor would need to be completely removed and reinstalled. We also had multiple contractors come out over this four-year ordeal. Each one stated that the floor was improperly installed and that we should contact the original installer to correct the issue. And now we're being told that we're outside the installation warranty period. That excuse is incredibly difficult to accept when we reported the problem less than one year after installation. We didn't sit on this problem for four years and then suddenly demand a new floor. We complained. We followed up. We escalated. We waited. We continued trying to resolve it. We paid Carpet Exchange for professional installation. We expected the subfloor to be properly prepared, the flooring to be properly installed, and the company to stand behind its work. Instead, we ended up with a floor that started failing within months and a customer-service experience that has been exhausting, frustrating, and completely unacceptable. Four years is an outrageous amount of time to fight for a resolution to a problem reported within the first year. This isn't just about flooring anymore. It's about accountability. We trusted Carpet Exchange. They completely lost that trust. If you're considering using Carpet Exchange, especially for an expensive flooring installation, do your research, ask questions, and document EVERYTHING. FOUR YEARS. PROBLEMS REPORTED WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR. INSTALLATION ISSUES ACKNOWLEDGED. "MAKE IT RIGHT" PROMISED. STILL NOT FIXED. DO NOT USE CARPET EXCHANGE.
