Let me first begin that I began shopping for carpet for two downstairs basement bedroom at Home Depot and Lowes. The selection of cut pile carpets at HD that were 1. in my price range; and 2. that I liked, were limited. Gowever, since I have a HD credit card, I was ready to ahead and place an order. I went and looked at carpet at Lowes, as an after thought. I fell in love with a pattern it had so then I was ready to switch and purchase the carpets at Lowes. It was then that I googled carpet installation and discovered that the key to purchasing carpet is the carpet pad andinstallation. Both HD and Lowes contract out for their installation services. I asked for the company names for both stores and look at their reviews--horrible reviews and unhappy customers. So, I searched on Yelp and located Coventry Carpets. Scot will come by your home, measure, show you a selection of carpets in your stated price range, and provide a quote. Since there is a larger variety at the business location that he does not carry with him and I was not crazy about the pattern and colors of what he had with him, I went to look at was available in the store. I bought with me a carpet sample from Lowes to show him what I was searching for, along with picking out a carpet in two carpet/colors that were my second choice if Coventry could not find the Lowes carpet. Scot quickly located the brand of Lowes carpet within a few days and gave me three quotes. Ultimately I decided I preferred the carpet from Coventry and placed the order. I had already scheduled a tentative install date on my visit to the store. The carpet was installed within maybe two weeks from the date of my selection. The installers arrived on time and were very pleasant. I'm glad I did my research on the subject because it was at the install that what reviewers said about the need for quality installation was true. There were already tack strips in my bedrooms but the installer replaced the majority of it because he said the wood was rotten. The installation took longer because of this issue. I very much doubt that a big box installer would have revealed this to me and replaced the tack strips. I had selected a cut pile carpet with a very subtle texture which requires more cuts to align properly. I also had a total of five doorways between two rooms. When the the installers were finished I could not even detect the carpet seams. The carpet feels wonderful to walk on and i love the color. This carpet installation and the installation of my windows (both from independent small businesses) were the most easy and stress free aspects of my basement remodel. If you want quality carpet, installed correctly, I highly recommend you give Coventry Carpets a call. Coventry will be my first choice if I have tile--which they also sell--or carpet for the rest of my basement. read more

We had an outstanding experience with Coventry Flooring installing a new carpet, and one of its owners, Scot. We had Scot come to our house to take measurements and see the installation area, rather than visit the showroom. He was able to schedule us in a matter of days and brought many samples to look at. Scot explained the pros/cons of different carpet materials, piles and cuts, warranties, and the benefits of different types and thickness of carpet pads. We narrowed our choices quickly and settled on a mid-pile carpet and upgraded pad that were installed two weeks later. The carpet is beautiful to look at, soft to the touch, and dampens sound; no longer can you hear someone walking around upstairs. The installation crew was fantastic - expert carpet installation, no damage to furniture, doors or walls, polite and conscientious about cleaning up and taking COVID precautions when in the house. They checked in with us a few times about the installation to confirm we were happy with the progress. In our experience shopping for carpet, we found that installers are usually subcontractors, and at several companies, we would have to pay the installers separately from the carpet purchase. We were concerned that if the installation didn't go well, it might be difficult to get the carpet company to work with us on a resolution, since they don't employ the installers. I brought up this issue with Scot, who explained that although Coventry does work with subs, many of them have worked with Coventry for a long time. He assured us that Coventry would do whatever was necessary to ensure we were fully satisfied with the carpet installation. As it turned out out, the installation went great so we didn't need to fall back on Scot's promise, but it's an important issue to consider when making an expensive investment like new carpet. After using another local flooring company for the bulk of our carpeting needs, we decided, after the fact, to do the remaining bedroom. We called the same company we used for our other rooms and were presented with an estimate that left us in complete sticker shock. We understood that the room would cost a bit more because of the odd shape and our choice of a patterned carpet, but the estimate was FAR beyond what we anticipated. I sent an email to the rep with some questions that any careful consumer would have. We did, after all, just do business with them and hoped to use them again. Surprisingly, my email went completely unanswered and this sent me on the path of obtaining additional estimates. After reading many online reviews, I reached out to Scott at Coventry Carpets. He provided me so much good information over the phone and though it was only one room, made the time to come out and meet with me in person. What a great and knowledgeable guy! We knew the brand and carpet we wanted and he whipped up his estimate on the spot saving us a SUBSTANTIAL amount for the exact same carpet and pad. The installation happened quickly and without issue and everyone we dealt with at Coventry has been pleasant and efficient displaying a nowadays rare desire to just make the customer happy. There aren't enough stars to rate this business!!! Folks, you can shop around all you want to compare quality, price, and service, but save the best for the last. Coventry Carpets...I did just that (took two weeks) and then called Coventry. Scott Johnson answered and set up an appointment ASAP. WOW...this guy knows his way around the carpet business. His presentation was clear, concise, and professional. He had a whole bunch of samples for us and described the value/purpose of each one in a relaxed manner. He also mentioned that the installers were a part of Coventry, NOT SUBS!!! This is important folks. Google carpet installations and see where a lot of the complaints are directed. My crew (led by Fermin) performed above and beyond the call of duty. Fermin is without question the hardest working, most professional, and polite person I have met in a long time. Can't say enough about everything he did for us. AND LASTLY...wait until you see how much money you will save. I did all the homework before (two weeks remember?) so I was ready for the close. Having a disappointing floor install a few years prior from a big box store, we were hesitant to start the journey in finding a reliable, honest, and affordable company. After reading great review after great review, we decided to START our quote search with Coventry Carpets. Scott came to my house for a complimentary measure and quote. He was very professional and "non-pressure" and his quote was remarkably reasonable, I committed to a desirable carpet choice on the spot. I was not disappointed. Garret and Fermin (the installers) were the most polite, hard working, and professional tradesmen we could've asked for. We felt so comfortable with them in our house and they made sure all details of the install were perfect. This is the second time we have used Coventry Carpet. They did such a good job on our upstairs, that we ordered more carpet and had the main floor carpeted. Yes, I received 4 other bids for the exact same brand, weight and padding... and all bids were $2K-$4K more than the Coventry quote. Aside from that, the installers (Bill and Paul and Thomas) were awesome, considerate, clean and fast!! I would use Coventry again in a minute if I had more floors to carpet. Oh and don't be alarmed when they, (Scott was the one that came to our house) come out to measure. He measures the old fashioned way and is amazingly accurate!! We have had friends and neighbors at our house to look at the new color carpet and the installation job... all have been truly impressed. This was our first experience with Coventry Carpets. I can't think of anything that could have been improved in the process of choosing and installing our new carpet. Nothing but good to say about Coventry Carpets. We shopped chain carpet stores and big box stores but couldn't find what we wanted. I saw many good reviews for Coventry on Yelp and Next Door, so I gave them a call. Scot Johnson, the owner, came to our house a couple of days later. He listened very carefully to what we thought we wanted and then looked over the house. He brought in several samples from his van. Most were like what we had already seen - OK but nothing special. Then he showed us one we wouldn't have picked out in a store - but when he put it on the floor, that was the one! Long story short: we purchased it on the spot, it was installed right when they said, and it was an expert installation! What more could we ask for? I went with Coventry Carpet because of the multiple 5 Star reviews and I was not disappointed! I made the phone call and within a couple of days Scot came out to measure, show us some samples, and give us a quote. I found the quote to be extremely reasonable for a very good quality of carpet and pad. Just before installation day, the office called to confirm and answer any questions, letting us know the installers would arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 am. By 9:20 am Fermin and Billy showed up at our front door ready to work. I must say, these two were incredible - hard working and true professionals! We bought pizza for them and they didn't even stop to eat! The carpet looks beautiful - just what we wanted. We just had the carpet replaced/installed in three bedrooms. The rep visited our house and was very nice, had a great selection of carpets to choose from and gave us a quote on the spot. It was impressive that he did not recommend the most expensive carpets from his selection given our needs (high traffic, dogs, kids). Two installers came out yesterday and were not only friendly, but did what I would consider a perfect job. We had prepped the rooms as requested, but they moved all of the furniture out, installed, and replace the furniture before cleaning-up and heading out. There was only one seam necessary (the closet entrance in the master bedroom) and even after seeing them seam the carpet, I cannot find the seam. Perfect job. Overall, I give them 5 stars because not only are they affordable and do great work, but are really friendly as well. read more

SERVICE AND QUALITY!! Top Notch!! We had chosen a 'side match' carpet pattern which was unique (for us). When initially laying the two rolls 'side by side' (Large Room), we discovered the color run didn't line up between the two rolls. Coventry Owner (Tom) immediately came out and coordinated inspection & replacement from the mill. (no cost to us). Tom (owner) personally came out with his team of installers and seamed the rolls together himself!! An A++ job by a company that is obviously built on service. SO HAPPY with the carpet and quality. After moving into a new home, my husband and I needed two stair runners for our wooden stairs. We went into the process pretty blind, but got a few quotes and were impressed with Convetry's professionalism and communication. Scheduling several appointments was easy and Eric was very flexible -- like when he came into the warehouse on a holiday to show us some different samples! We gave him our needs and the price point we needed, and he helped us choose a runner that would last long for our pet, was aesthetically pleasing and pleasant to walk on. Contacted Coventry Carpet as it was a recommended by a friend. I contacted Scot, owner and told him what we wanted and he came out to my home and brought 100's of samples. This process made it so much easier to view the samples in my home, rather than to pick up samples, bring home and return. Scot was extremely knowledgeable about the different manufacturers and never once try to up-sell me. Scot helped us chose a style, color and texture that worked in my basement. From start to finish an excellent experience. Got quotes from Coventry, Empire and Denver Carpet and Flooring. Coventry had the best price. Scott also explained the differences in the Stainmaster ratings, the polyester versus nylon fibers, etc. Then they were flexible when I had to change my install date (the day before!). Installers were long-term employees who were polite and professional. all my furniture was returned to its exact location, no dings, no scratched baseboards, etc. They even got done a day earlier than expected. I think the best part was that they vacuumed and even swept my wood floors for carpet debris. I will use them again and again and recommend them to anyone! read more

Had been looking for a reputable carpet company since we moved to Colorado and after seeing all the great reviews for Coventry we had Scott come out and show us carpet and give us an estimate. We decided to go with them and set an appointment for installation. They actually were able to come out two days earlier than planned which was great for us. Our installer, Juan and his partner came in and got to work immediately and seemed like they never took a break.
