I was pleased to see automated text messages confirmed the job and described what to expect. Rino does a great job of blending multiple communication modes seamlessly (Yelp, person's cell, automated text number). This is a rare skill that should not be underestimated. Unfortunate there was an emergency and I had to cancel the job in the middle of the night before the service (see my review on drywall lol). Then the emergency was taken care of sooner than expected, so I contacted Rino again. We rescheduled service for the following day. An arrival window was provided; they arrived promptly. Ali did a walkthrough and we showed him a couple of stains. They began the service. There was a team of two, Ali and Ivan. Ali performed the stain treatment (stains came out!) and Ivan the all-over carpet cleaning. Both were friendly and professional. I will certainly hire them again.

The "before" photos they eventually provided showed normal wear, nothing close to the damage it has now. Worse than the damage was the dishonesty. My refund requests were ignored, and instead they pressured me to let them "fix" it by dyeing it darker. It took him DAYS to send me the before photos. They even called from multiple numbers trying to come to my house after I refused. This experience was unprofessional and shady. They had to…read morerefinish the floor 3 times because the owner insisted on sending the same crew back each time (which makes sense if using a fixed-price sub - keeps their profit intact). I communicated my concerns professionally (and almost apologetically) with the owner as we went, but I'm not sure that any of them were addressed directly with the crew - rather they were just given basic instructions at the start of each day to fix the problems from the last go 'round. I'll give them credit for trying to make it right, and the floor looks a lot better than it did when they started, but it still wasn't 100% at the end and they didn't want to listen to any more complaints. A list of items specific issues that as far as I can tell were never communicated back to the crew: - The first thing the crew leader did was take a dump in my bathroom, without asking, and made this a daily ritual. - They didn't bother to cover anything up before sanding - no sheathing between rooms, no covers over the vents - so dust was everywhere in the house. At least I had the good sense to turn off the HVAC, but still had to change the air filters several times before they finished the job. - They sanded/buffed the carpet, trashing it where the carpet meets the hardwood. - Stain was applied in some places across grain / boards rather than same direction leading to stripes (1st attempt), and inconsistently leading to dark splotches (2nd attempt). - They used my ladder (from the garage) without asking. - They left gobs of topcoat around trim and puddling elsewhere. - They did not take the time to use filler properly after the second attempt - there are dark spots around nails, knots, and where sanding was rough. - Hand sanding was quite rough in several areas leading to dark stain, especially around trim, cabinets, toilet, etc. And they didn't thoroughly clean or screen before coating in several places, leading to dirt and debris in the finish. - Stain spatter was left on the wall from brush work and flinging wet towels. The sinks were a left an absolute mess. - There was no real cleanup to speak of and patches of grass are dead in the front yard where they cleaned stain off their tools and equipment. - The "suicide cord" they were using to connect to 240V was a fire and safety hazard. After attempting to share my last round of concerns (not asking for them to redo it again but rather just trying to share some of the issues for future improvement), Anthony told me to stop looking so closely and asked, "You gonna blast us on the internet?" indicating his level of concern. For a website that touts their high level of professionalism and reputation, the crew did not reflect it. If I wasn't a professional contractor myself, then this might have been a traumatic experience. And if I knew the crew and could have hired them directly, then I would have undoubtedly paid half as much... but then they might not have redone it 3 times (especially because I would have kicked them out after the second attempt). I never asked for a discount, and one was certainly never offered. I'm leaving 2 stars because on Yelp that means it "could've been better" but for the price I paid to go with the "pros" I regret not giving one of the other bidders a chance.

Clare and BJ Ambrose provided an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end. Our basement unexpectedly flooded and after we discovered it (a day later), we called Ambrose Carpets. Clare provided us "spot on" steps to potentially mitigate the issue in an attempt to save the carpet. After it was realized the basement carpet needed to be replaced, both Clare and BJ paid a visit to our house and provided us with outstanding advice, suggestions and countless options for new carpet. After providing some much needed color scheme, design and carpet quality advice, Clare special ordered larger samples of carpet and had them delivered to our house within two days. BJ and his team took precise measurements (not to overcharge for wasted carpet), even though our basement was not a standard configuration for carpet lengths. Once ordered, the carpet arrived within 4 days and was installed the very next day. The installers were very polite, professional, did fantastic work and were in and out in a half day. Once the install was complete, both BJ and Clare came back to ensure our complete satisfaction and happiness and even provided us with carpet care advice and a bottle of spot care. I cant say enough of the Ambrose customer service and attention we were given and I highly recommend them for any Carpet project. I couldn't be happier with the carpet installation Ambrose did for my house. Yelp states that they serve "Littleton and the surrounding area" - I live in NW Denver and they were completely responsive to doing an installation in my house. The process was quick and painless: I talked to them on the phone, they said if I took basic measurements of my basement that would be fastest, otherwise they would gladly come out and do the measuring. I took measurements and did rough sketches of the layout, then visited their showroom in Highlands Ranch. Clare showed me a number of color and style carpet choices, in various price ranges. She suggested that I test a handful of choices, and then had carpet samples sent to my house from the manufacturer. BJ contacted me to clarify a few layout details on my stairwell and basement, I selected a carpet style and color (by Shaw - excellent carpet), and they were able to schedule an install just a week out! Joaquin and crew showed up on time and did a flawless install. It was all MUCH easier and less stressful than I feared. If anyone is wondering if buying carpet from a big-box home store would be cheaper - it won't be. Ambrose's pricing is very competitive with big orange-lettered home improvement stores, their installers are fast and meticulous, and the whole process is much easier and the result higher-quality. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for future carpet installations. read more

I have used Ambrose Carpets to clean my carpets for a few years and finally it was time to replace my 13 year old carpet. Since I had such a great experience with them cleaning my carpet I wanted to give them a chance to replace it. Clare is so great to work with and BJ came to my office with several samples that he let me take home to show the family. They were both very knowledgeable about everything and explained about warranties, stain blocker, material, length and color. Once I finally made my decision the scheduling and install went very quickly. They were at my home at the exact time they said they would be and install was super fast. The moved all my furniture for me and put it back exactly the way it was and were very careful. They were also very careful with my baseboards and had no scratches whatsoever. I could tell the installers took pride in doing an excellent job! They did a great job cleaning up and walked the house with me to show me where they had carefully placed the seams out of the high traffic areas. I have now had the opportunity to work with Ambrose Carpets twice in the past few months. The first time was for a new carpet install at my mother's house following flooding that occurred in her basement. Not only were they responsive in an emergency situation, they went WAY above and beyond in the customer service area. Selecting the new carpet was a joy for my mother! They also cleaned the upstairs carpet to help out my mom when this was not even in their scope of work. Clare and BJ truly care about their clients! I personally have a rental townhome where tenants left the place a disaster following vacating the unit. Needing new carpet, Clare and BJ visited me the day I called them and had a crew ready to install within one day! This was perfect as I needed to find new tenants ASAP. I worked in the hardwood floor install/refinish industry for years, and I know this is not top quality service. May as well pay half the price at Empire and get the same result. I would not recommend this company…read more I chose them because the scope I discussed with the account manager included replacing my flooring and installing a new vanity I had already purchased. I verbally confirmed that scope with the account manager and paid an invoice that included a line item for that portion of the work. Despite that, the installer arrived without all of the necessary materials and informed me he was not comfortable installing the vanity. To be clear, I have no issue with the installer declining work he wasn't comfortable performing. What I do have an issue with is being told afterward that vanity installation was never included, despite it being discussed with the account manager and being a major reason I selected this company over other bids. The installer himself encouraged me to request a refund for that portion of the project, but the company only provided a partial refund ($180). As a result, I am left with an unfinished project, a sink currently being held up by a 2x4, and the need to hire a second contractor to complete the work. What should have been a straightforward bathroom update has turned into a major headache. By the time the project is finally finished, I will have spent significantly more than the original quote, despite choosing this company because I believed they would handle the full scope of work from start to finish.

We purchased our home from the previous owners, who had these floors installed by Simply Floors…read moreabout five years ago. Unfortunately, they are already falling apart throughout the house. Whether it's due to poor installation, poor-quality materials, or both, the flooring has not held up as it should for such a significant investment. Given the amount the previous owners paid, this level of durability is extremely disappointing. We now have to replace the floors much sooner than anyone should reasonably expect. We will be using a company that stands behind its workmanship and products with a warranty and quality that extends well beyond five years. Based on the condition of these floors after only five years, I would not recommend Simply Floors. A few photos below but it's all over the main floor you can tell they were not installed properly as they are all popping up. And yes I know the warranty was not transferable I just wanted to post so others know the quality to expect before making such a large investment!

They offer a great selection of carpet without being overwhelming. The price of the carpet included both padding and installation, and they use their own installers instead of third-party contractors. The order came in earlier than expected, and it was finished within two weeks The two-man crew was efficient, clean, and very respectful. They did a beautiful job, and we were particularly impressed with the stairs; they look fantastic! I will definitely use Simply Floors again and highly recommend them to others.
