As one of the other reviewers said, these guys use subcontractors of varying quality. They had to…read morerefinish the floor 3 times because the owner insisted on sending the same crew back each time (which makes sense if using a fixed-price sub - keeps their profit intact). I communicated my concerns professionally (and almost apologetically) with the owner as we went, but I'm not sure that any of them were addressed directly with the crew - rather they were just given basic instructions at the start of each day to fix the problems from the last go 'round. I'll give them credit for trying to make it right, and the floor looks a lot better than it did when they started, but it still wasn't 100% at the end and they didn't want to listen to any more complaints. A list of items specific issues that as far as I can tell were never communicated back to the crew: - The first thing the crew leader did was take a dump in my bathroom, without asking, and made this a daily ritual. - They didn't bother to cover anything up before sanding - no sheathing between rooms, no covers over the vents - so dust was everywhere in the house. At least I had the good sense to turn off the HVAC, but still had to change the air filters several times before they finished the job. - They sanded/buffed the carpet, trashing it where the carpet meets the hardwood. - Stain was applied in some places across grain / boards rather than same direction leading to stripes (1st attempt), and inconsistently leading to dark splotches (2nd attempt). - They used my ladder (from the garage) without asking. - They left gobs of topcoat around trim and puddling elsewhere. - They did not take the time to use filler properly after the second attempt - there are dark spots around nails, knots, and where sanding was rough. - Hand sanding was quite rough in several areas leading to dark stain, especially around trim, cabinets, toilet, etc. And they didn't thoroughly clean or screen before coating in several places, leading to dirt and debris in the finish. - Stain spatter was left on the wall from brush work and flinging wet towels. The sinks were a left an absolute mess. - There was no real cleanup to speak of and patches of grass are dead in the front yard where they cleaned stain off their tools and equipment. - The "suicide cord" they were using to connect to 240V was a fire and safety hazard. After attempting to share my last round of concerns (not asking for them to redo it again but rather just trying to share some of the issues for future improvement), Anthony told me to stop looking so closely and asked, "You gonna blast us on the internet?" indicating his level of concern. For a website that touts their high level of professionalism and reputation, the crew did not reflect it. If I wasn't a professional contractor myself, then this might have been a traumatic experience. And if I knew the crew and could have hired them directly, then I would have undoubtedly paid half as much... but then they might not have redone it 3 times (especially because I would have kicked them out after the second attempt). I never asked for a discount, and one was certainly never offered. I'm leaving 2 stars because on Yelp that means it "could've been better" but for the price I paid to go with the "pros" I regret not giving one of the other bidders a chance.

Let me share with you my experience,…read more Walter their salesman came out to give me a bid Once he found out that Home Depot had done the estimate already, he just used the amount of boxes which was about 80 for the estimate. He did no measuring or anything else. He was gone in about 10 minutes. (I needed only labor as I was purchasing the material from Home Depot.) Once we agreed on Price to have all the existing solid wood baseboard, removed the new floor put down and the baseboard put back. I agreed to the job. Pricing; I agreed on 50% down and 50% when the job was completed to maintain some control of the final product I'm very glad I did this. Their policy is to get 100% upfront, which I never recommend anyone for any service, ever do. The very next day after agreeing on terms with Walter, I got a call asking for 100% of the money I told this lady that's not what we agreed to and she said well that's what we normally do and I said you better call Walter. I'm gonna cancel the job. She did came back excepted 50% Overall, the subcontractors that came out from a company called Sun sunshine floors did a pretty good job putting in the material But it's the follow up , putting doors back on , getting trim put back on that was a real headache and took me almost 30 days to get done and also a threat of a complaint to get what I considered to be a very reasonable discount about $370 off my bill In the end, I fixed the existing problems myself because it was too much of a headache after they finally agreed to give me the discount Finally, a reminder again if you use this company, do not pay 100% upfront you'll have no control over the job over anything that needs to get fixed and you'll be working on their timetable, while they have all your money ------- Part 2 It's smart that Kelly took down her first knee jerk response to my above comment since is was inaccurate and not well researched. "Telling me I agreed not to leave public comment in agreement for the discount" -that was true if you accepted my generous offer.... the first go round. I'm going to guess that she finally got around to actually reading.... the 2nd email with my threat to file a complaint with yelp. Poof.....gone and replaced with boiler plate sorry we messed up and we should have done better. " Kelly, I wish you would have taken seriously my first initial complaint to your company and really taken the time to call me and find out what happened, Sincerely apologize, accept my generous offer and maybe even go a bit farther to make me happy and satisfied, If you had done so, we wouldn't be having this stupid engagement in the first place. Even after all that, I do hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year.

WARNING - To sum it up, THEY missed 2 appointments, THEY were unable to perform the installation…read morewithin a week like I was lead to believe and now THEY are threatening me even though they have my money AND they have the carpet AND they never showed up to do the installation twice AND are refusing to refund my deposit. I'm not sure how they have 4.4 stars. I ordered carpet and had 2 appointments for them to install. First appointment was a no show, no call. The sales rep, Andrew, had no idea they did not show up until I called him. Turns out the carpet was not in. Set a 2nd appointment. Again, no show no call. Again, Andrew had no idea what was going on. I was home all morning waiting for them again. I told Andrew after the 1st incident that if they don't show up on the 2nd appointment I am going to cancel. The only reason I took this route was because Andrew said that it can be installed within a week from ordering. Order was placed on 7/25. Second appointment was for 8/20/24. That is not a wee that's almost an entire month. If I had known it was going to take a month and still not have it installed, I would have taken a different route. Now they are telling me I'm not getting a refund because it was a special order. The first time there was any mention of special order was when the store manager called. At no point during any of our conversations nor after me telling Andrew I am going to cancel if they don't show up was I told that this was a special order and I'm not going to get a refund. I did notice after searching my purchase order that there is a small box marked SO. Again, at no point did Andrew mention this was going to be a special order before I signed the agreement unaware of what the small box marked SO stood for. Now they are threatening to put a lien on my house even though they already have a deposit from me that they are refusing to refund and they have the carpet. This is not anyone who I would ever do business with. You have been warned.

I'd first like to say that the customer service I received during purchase and follow-up was good…read more That being said, they would not allow me to return my completely untouched closed boxes of excess flooring material I didn't need (which was given to me based off their measurements). Further, they had me purchase flooring items I did not need as they didn't ask me my plans for how my floors would transition. Their reasoning for not taking my materials back were that if they had done the labor themselves they would have used all the flooring. This makes no sense as there is nowhere for the extra flooring to go. That's pretty transparent that even if they had done the extensively overpriced labor they would have just pocketed the cash. This is a terrible policy and if I would have known this I would not have purchased my flooring from them. Buyer beware.
