My 4 month old puppy recently discovered that I had a loose piece of threshold for my laminate flooring, strategically extracted it from its original place, Then proceeded to perform a chew-ability test on it and it failed... As He Insisted on removing it again and again, I started my quest to find a new piece of threshold at the Orange big Box store and they failed. I went to the other big Box, and they failed as well. I stumbled across Denver flooring this afternoon on my way home from a customer visit. Not only did they have a wide array of threshold, but they had good quality solid wood threshold as well. The gentleman took me back to the rack and together we sifted through the various pieces. We found one and it was a good match, considerably cheaper and of better quality than the big boxes offered. Customer service is extremely poor. I tried to order replacement flooring but not responsive after four attempts.

I'm disappointed in your customer service. We ordered flooring for our entire main floor, stairs and downstairs. The product was on back order. Ordered in June was delivered in November. Working through the remodel of the entire home and we realize the wrong product got sent for the stairs. We are told we can't get a refund and have to reorder the correct product. If you make a mistake and send us the wrong item, even if it's after your return deadline, I would kindly appreciate flexibility in your policy to accommodate a problem created by your team's error. $20k+ in product from your business and no help. read more

A representative for Costco carpet came out . Showed me several samples took measurements and was supposed to have several samples sent to me and my estimate ready a few days later. Despite sending multiple emails, a week has passed and have not heard anything back from him. No samples, no estimate . A year and a half ago, I had a great experience with Troy at Colorado Flooring, and this year dealing with his boss, Jeff, who stole his sales rep's commission, has been a nightmare. Scheduling, getting the crew out, getting charged more than estimated for the service and being auto-charged to my credit card on file for the overage, having a stain on the carpet on the install he tried to blame on me, installing floorboards, which they said they could do but didn't/wouldn't, and then simply completing the work, which he wanted to charge more for. They have great carpet and some great guys, but some need to go. I'd look elsewhere--it's just carpet you can get from others at a similar price without the headache. read more

I went through Costco to install flooring and baseboards in my basement back in August.  The company Costco outsources for flooring happened to be Colorado Flooring.  I can't express enough how frustrating and disappointing it was dealing with them throughout the process. The project was expected to take three days to complete (a day for leveling the ground, a day to install the floors and a day to install the baseboards).   It ended up taking 10+ days over the course of almost 3 months for them to "finish" the project.  The workers would routinely show up between 2-6 hours after the agreed upon time window (8-10am), and on a few occasions, wouldn't show up at all.   There were days where they brought the wrong flooring material and baseboards, days where they forget to bring any material and days where they did a poor job of installing and had to come back to fix their errors.   I followed up with two employees, Chuck and Cameron, about these issues.  They didn't provide any remedies other than a partial refund.  The issues continued as the project got closer to completion.  The flooring on stairs had nails protruding from the surface, there were gaps in between the baseboards and flooring  in several areas of the basement, several small and large dents to the walls in the basement, and most recently, a stair overlay came loose causing me to fall as I was walking down the stairs.  I have not heard back from anyone at Colorado Flooring about these issues.   Do not go with Colorado Flooring.  They are awful with communicating, use contractors that do a poor and hazardous job of installing and are unprofessional. read more

We booked these guys through Costco flooring. They were by far the cheapest, including the Costco gift card deal. They are a little bit on the unresponsive side, but overall do reposed. The carpet looks great, and Colorado flooring stands by their work and the labor. They even sent over a handyman to repaint all the scuffs on the walls, doors, and trim from the carpet job, and now everything looks great. They're even willing to come back and replace the faulty carpet pieces. Despite the communication issues, I would highly recommend this company. read more

We absolutely love our new stairs! The quote process was very easy and straight forward and the team made themselves available if I had any questions. We had Colorado Flooring come out and remove our old carpet and install new floor material on two flights of stairs. Their team matched the color of the stairs to the floor perfectly and they took the time to measure and cut each step to the exact dimensions. Our house has settled over time, and I know it made their job a bit difficult, but they individually measured ~32 steps to ensure it was right each time. I was blown away by their attention to detail; no gap between the trim and tread whatsoever (see pictures)! I really appreciate Colorado Floorings patience and dedication to excellence. read more

Moving and remodeling are always stressful no matter how well prepared. We chose Colorado Flooring to help us redo our dream home. Picking two products, carpet and LVP, install was set for 10/4/21. I understand there are going to be delays, just part of the world we live in now. However, I expect some proactive communication if there is an issue and some effort by the merchant to help correct it. I didn't receive either of these from Colorado Flooring. After several delays in this process, my family is set to move to our new home with NO floors. Gary / Jeff at Colorado Flooring demonstrated no empathy for the situation they left my family in. I was told 4 different times that products would be installed but Colorado Flooring failed to come through each time. When they came to install the carpet, the installer cut around parts of the door and just left the old carpet there. Even now, they refuse to help or provide some kind of assistance. When I voiced my frustration, Gary said he would just cancel my order. We purchased a home that had dogs, and needed to replace all of the carpets, as well as the countertop and backsplash in the kitchen and laundry room. Donita Fischer went the extra mile for us in helping us select exactly the right carpets, counters, and backsplash for our home, and she was always attentive and an excellent communicator. I would not use this company again. I found my sales rep to be misleading. He told me the start date on our job had to be pushed pack due to the crew having covid. Four days later the job was rescheduled. A two person crew showed up and only one of them had a mask. They said no one had covid. I had to supply a mask to him. They completed the carpet install but left a gap between the new carpet and the existing trim (see photo). Chuck came to look at the install and told me he would pay for the labor to fix it. We bought quarter round, trimmed it and painted it. It took two weeks for the job to be finished. Chuck told me a specialist named Sal would be the one doing the work. Sal never showed up. I had a two man crew that did not speak English. We had to use an app to communicate. Only one of the two crew members had a mask. After they went out and got a mask the job was finished with excellent results in 30 minutes. Later that day I received a bill from Chuck for $332.50. He said there was a misunderstanding and he couldn't make me pay the invoice. Now the updated invoice says customer is not paying. I emailed the owner and never heard back. I would advise to hire a company that has more empathy and offers good customer service in the future. read more

We used this company (AKA Carpet Exchange) about 6 years ago and had a wonderful experience in our previous home. Unfortunately, the sales lady we had no longer works there. The gentleman who did our kitchen and bathroom floors works for a different company. The men who showed up to do the Coretec Stone and carpet were rushing and took many shortcuts. They made sloppy cuts in the Coretec and is not covered by trim in areas. The piece used at top stair is not flush with flooring and has a small gap. Tripping hazard! Poor response from sales. This is unacceptable! My husband removed the register cover and found handfuls of pieces from Coretec deliberately thrown in there. read more

Wish I had read these reviews before having this company install our flooring and baseboards. The flooring is fine, but they beat our kitchen cabinets up while installing as well as tearing our brand new leather couch. They came back and gave me money for couch repairs, and covered up the cabinet damage with stain....sure it looks better, but the damage is still there and I can see it. The baseboard installation was a joke. Many pieces are uneven, or had large amounts of caulking to cover up the face that the pieces didn't fit. When they came back to fix this, the "fix" was worse than the install. Now nothing is at the correct angle, corners don't match up, and they sanded and caulked over the design to make it look like it fit. What a total shit job. If you can't do the job, don't advertise that you can. I want a complete refund on the cost of my baseboards and the installation fee....this only seems fair, but trying to talk to anyone in the store or the contractors is a disaster. We were recommended to Colorado Flooring by a friend who had a good experience with a carpet install here, but unfortunately, our experience was far from the experience they had. We walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and a sales rep reluctantly got up from his comfy office chair to help us - I get it, we are young and he probably didn't take us seriously. But we seriously were in the market to get new floors! I'm in sales and I know how a good salesman/saleswoman acts - and we got a dud. Our sales guy was more handsoff, which is fine - they have a lot of options to choose from, and he let us just roam and look at all their carpet and LVT. But he didn't ask us ONE single question about ourselves, what we were looking for, if we had dogs, etc. I tried to ask him questions about himself, hoping to warm him up a bit, but that didn't work. The first time we were there, I pulled up their Yelp Check-In offer of a "Free Area Rug with Purchase" - I mentioned if to our sales guy, and he just laughed about it and told me that he had never heard of that offer before and that he had some 2'x2' carpet samples he could give me for free. When I pressed it further, he said he would ask his manager. We came back in about a week later to finish the paperwork on our install. When I brought up the check-in offer for the free area rug again, he again offered free carpet samples again. We were signing paperwork to spend $10k on new floors, and they wouldn't even honor their offer of a free $200 rug. (This offer is still live on this Yelp page.) This might sound petty, be we ended up not going with Colorado Flooring because of this - we went to another store down the road and their sales people were eager to help us and our new floors look great. I'm sure losing us was no skin off Colorado Flooring's back, though. Overall, this was one of the worse experiences we ever have had. Poor customer service by the sales/office staff and not quality work. We were looking for carpet for our home. We decided to use Costco as we had used other services and had good experiences. In this case, the salesperson that came to the house for the measuring and samples was great, very friendly, personable. As many of the other review have noted, there were issues with the staff at the store: You call, leave a message, and they either call you back or have someone else call you back. Our consultation was in May with Patti, Kelly in the office could not get the billing to work with Costco and it was months before she could get the paperwork done, but of course the carpet and pad were ordered and in stock. We had to call Patti so many times. Installation was not scheduled until September and then had to be moved to October. I waited for 5 months to get my carpet. The day of the installation, the installers left a cryptic message on the cell phone about arrival time, when they got to the house, they did not have a copy of the furniture move contract, so they were not going to do that, and they did not speak good English. I am tired of installers showing up and pulling the "No speak english" line. I guess it is a good thing we know Spanish. I had to show them the contract for moving the furniture, without the paperwork they said they were worried they were not going to get paid to move the furniture. We had to call Patti the Salesperson. The installers asked if they had to do the stairs, well of course! We are not happy with the overall job. There are nicks on the walls and they did not do a good job on the seams. The installers arrive around 9 a.m. and were there until 7 p.m. We have reached out to get a work order so they can come and address all of our issues and concerns. This is currently pending. The company website states they guarantee the installation and carpet for life. I can not put my house back together until this gets resolved. I am expecting to get the run around and am very unhappy with the experience. The other concern is that because I put it on my Costco Card, I have had to make monthly payments for carpet that I did not get installed until just recently. read more

Used these folks through Costco --- it was (and is, as it is still on-going) an abject nightmare. I have NEVER been compelled to leave a negative review of any business, until I tried to have a small (less than 500sq ft) flooring project done with Colorado Flooring. Communication with them is a disaster -- it appears they only reply if you contact them, and when they do, they act like they are the customer. They are quite rude, they are dismissive, and they appear to not care in the slightest. They don't provide any details, they make random excuses for delays, they don't provide any timeframes for anything. We've had on 2 separate occasions people just show up to 'work' on the floor, neither time did they call in advance nor have any idea what they were doing here. Completely unannounced. They look at me and say "so what do you need done?" and then when they don't have the material, or tools, or skills to do it, they just leave. Call Colorado Flooring to ask about it, and they ignore that it ever happened. This relatively simple project (which I honestly should have just done myself in hindsight) has been on-going for over 90 days. Though I normally advocate for people to use Costco's services as they are regularly high quality and well priced, in the case of flooring, and specifically Colorado Flooring, you're better served using absolutely any other option available. read more

Colorado Flooring sold and installed an engineered wood floor that an independent inspection clearly said was not suited for our Colorado environment. The wood floor planks shrunk, separated and warped. Colorado Flooring disregarded the inspection and said it was a homeowner maintenance issue, telling me to install and use independent humidifiers and keep the blinds closed. I would highly caution visiting Colorado Flooring. read more

Our initial experience was decent and the sales people appeared helpful and knowledgeable. However, the rest of our experience was awful. We purchased tile for our bathroom and were told that we needed to purchase a backing board to ensure proper installation, longevity, and moisture control. So, we purchased it and paid for it to be installed. A week later, we received a call from the salesman saying that installation was going to cost $50 more than we had previously agreed on. Then, when the tile was installed, the installer also chose to not install the backing board and installed the tile directly on the subfloor, which our salesperson said was not something that could be done. But, it gets worse. After the work was completed, Colorado Carpet did not tell us the backing board was not installed. Rather, it sent us another invoice requesting an additional $60 for the installation. We learned that the backing board was not installed, only because we looked where the floor vent was and could see that the tile was installed directly on the subfloor. Additionally, the installer refused to reinstall the toilet, saying that his paperwork did not include any reference for reinstalling a toilet in a bathroom after laying tile in the bathroom. And, he left our bathroom and kitchen a complete mess. Worst of all, when we raised these concerns with our salesperson at Colorado Carpet and Rug, we heard nothing for two weeks. When we finally received a response from our salesperson, we were told that the manager was only willing to reimburse us for the backing board--which the installer still had--but that Colorado Carpet and Rug was still going to charge us the additional $60 for the installation. No concern was expressed for any of the other issues or for the completely fraudulent behavior of its installer. We will not shop here again and strongly caution others to avoid it as well. read more

When choosing what would go with our cabinets, the suggestions she made helped us narrow down the perfect match for our project. She was so kind and patient with us and when we finally made our decision, getting all the prices together, materials ordered and installation set up went like clockwork. Very impressed! We worked with Harrison to replace the flooring in our kitchen and living room, and we were provided with excellent customer service from start to finish. I was in love with the look of hardwood flooring, but was really concerned about staining and durability. Harrison was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and very patient with us while we considered our options. We really felt that he was truly invested in giving us a great experience. Much to my surprise, we ultimately decided to go with Coretec flooring at Harrison's suggestion. Our floors look so gorgeous, and we paid a fraction of what we would have expected to for wood floors. Colorado Flooring was recommended by family and was one of the companies included in our quest to replace dated kitchen tile and carpeting in other rooms. We decided on them due to the selection of hardwoods available. Donita provided all the options and we chose vinyl plank for the kitchen. We're really glad we did. The quality is outstanding and we'd highly recommend it to anyone. Marcelino and his team of craftsmen provided excellent workmanship, completing the job in less time than needed. Donita's suggestions and guidance ensured we were happy with the finished product. A few words from the experience: prepare for loud equipment noise and some dust, especially if flooring is being installed in upper floor rooms above others that aren't finished; lots of whatever's in the ceiling will rattle loose. There's a lot of hammering, but some may not realize how much piecing is required for hardwood. If having full service is what you need, Colorado Flooring is highly recommended. read more

She then came to our home with the selections we chose at the store along with one other that she thought would look nice. She measured the space and we ended up liking the extra sample she brought. It best complimented our woodwork and paint choices. She also helped guide us in the padding selection. We set up installation 2 weeks later. The installation crew was tremendous too. The first installation was fine but I had serious problems with the second installation and this installer's demeanor. I had wool carpeting installed in our basement and discovered a small hollowed area in the rug. I called Donita at Colorado Carpet and she came out and said she would have the carpet installer crew come out to assess what this was. Reuben came out with his crew and indicated it was a problem with the actual carpet. This prompted one of the store managers to come out (Jeff) and had the crew pull up the carpet to check the base floor. Long story short, there was a defect in the actual carpet. The folks at Colorado Carpet and Rug contacted the manufacturer and the rug was completely replaced. It looks beautiful and we are very pleased with the service we received from Colorado Carpet and Rug. They addressed our issue and worked to get it resolved. Terrible customer service! We had carpet installed less than a year ago from Colorado Flooring. The seam between our bedroom door has frayed several times and I have had to have someone come out 3 separate times to look at, as it is now starting to show wear from the poor install. The last time I called, I received a call from the installer saying they were 15 minutes out from our house to come look at the seam, but nobody had reached out to schedule an appointment. I was told it was his only availability for the week, so it was leave work and rush home in order to get the problem addressed. All that is done each time is the frayed area is cut with scissors. When I expressed that this doesn't seem to be solving the issue, I was told I would hear from Jeff, the manager. We never received a follow up call. Fast forward two months, the same area is fraying again. I called to set up an appointment and was told they would call me back in a few days, as they were getting through their e-mails from the weekend. Jeff does not seem to want to address any of the issues we have had from the install and makes it sound like a hassle when I have called. We would just like the carpet we spent a lot of money on to last longer than a year. read more

We were unhappy with our initial installation and installer and shared our concerns with the manager, Josh. He gave us sincere concern and immediately handled the situation with care. Our floors have since been redone by a different installer and they are FABULOUS! Their installer Mohammed is really professional, fast, definitely knows what he's doing and friendly! He even gave us the heads up about our sliding glass door wear and tear (we didn't even know about it, but are super grateful that he pointed it out!). Despite the initial issue, due to the professionalism of Josh and Mohammed, we will definitely go through this company again for flooring. read more

I would love to be able to give negative stars for this place. Walked into the showroom and was barely acknowledged by either of the two salespeople sitting there. There were no other customers in the store. I had already shopped around and knew exactly what I wanted. I would have gone with Home Depot but unfortunatley they couldn't get out to do the measure and order for about 3 weeks. I was anxious to get my carpet done and Colorado flooring could get out to measure within a few days. The installers that came out did some unbelievable things and I mean that not in a good way. They put no transition strip between the carpet and the bathroom floor. The transition strip they put down between the carpet and wood floor wasn't even lined up straight from one wall to the other and they hammered the crap out of it so it was all bent and dented! The carpet was loose in many spots. The worst thing they did was use cardboard as a shim under the tack strip. Fortunately I saw them do this. Of course I couldn't communicate with the installer as he didn't speak English. When I called the store and asked to speak to the manager I was finally able to speak to Jeff. Jeff apparently saw nothing wrong with putting cardboard under the carpet. I pointed out to him that it would disintegrate and/or get moldy once you shampooed the carpet or spilled any liquid on the carpet. Jeff's response to me was, " If you didn't see it you would have never known they used cardboard" REALLY?!! That was the response from the store manager. He also said it would cost him/the store money to send a different install crew out to correct the problems. Jeff actually made a trip to my house with the salesman to look at the "problems". After a long discussion and us basically demanded that they make it right at their expense, he finally reluctantly agreed. Can't believe this place is still in business with that type of customer service and horrible workmanship! Do Not Use!! read more

Wow! Don't let the name fool you, they have a LOT more than carpet to offer!...an amazing selection of all flooring options. We've had good experiences with their carpet before and now we absolutely LOVE our new laminate flooring, too! I think next we'll use them for tile in the bathroom!
