Athena and her crew did a great job restoring original wood floors in 3 bedrooms and the hall…read more Then, they installed new wood flooring in the entryway and did an incredible job matching the stain! They also installed LVP in the sunroom which totally transformed that room! I highly recommend them to my clients and fellow real estate agents!

KNOTS FLOORING SAVED MY FLOORS AND MY SANITY!!!…read more I can't put into words how amazing this company is and I wholeheartedly recommend them! In November 2025, I sought bids to have hard wood floors put in a bedroom I am converting into a pantry and to have my existing kitchen and entryway refinished so that everything would match and I would have ample time for the floors to cure before the pantry installation. Knots Flooring was one of the companies that came to bid the work but I ended up using another company and it was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made in my life. After two other companies came out and totally botched three refinishing jobs, I had to swallow my pride and reach back out to Knots Flooring for help. Athena was so lovely and gracious when I reached out to her to apologize for not using them and when I admitted that I really messed up but I needed their help desperately. Regardless of my poor decision making, they didn't hesitate for one second to come to my rescue. My pantry installation was scheduled to start on February 10th and despite the short notice, Knots flooring put me on their schedule immediately so I could keep the timeline for my project while allowing ample time for the job to be done well and for the floors to cure. Not only were Athena and Danny amazing and reassuring, I can't say enough about what a phenomenal job Renato and Julio (Cesar) did with my floors and the care and respect they exhibited for my house by taping everything off, removing my baseboards that were messed up by the other companies, securing my house, the incredible clean-up afterward, and all the little things they did to make my floors look beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. If you're thinking about getting floors installed or refinishing your floors, don't waste your time taking bids from other companies, hire Knots Flooring immediately!

I will let you know how it goes on the installation. Just as Mike promised the installation went smoothly. The install crew kept their word and came in the middle of the snow storm to get their installation completed. Overall I was very impressed.

ZERO STARS IF I COULD…read more Our experience with Carpet Exchange has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. After 4 years of trying to get the company to take responsibility, I feel obligated to share exactly what happened. We had LVP flooring installed by Carpet Exchange by Jan, the original installer. Within just EIGHT MONTHS, the corners of the flooring started lifting and the planks began separating. We reported the problems LESS THAN ONE YEAR AFTER INSTALLATION. We did not wait four years to complain. We reported the issue while the flooring was still relatively new and repeatedly tried to get it addressed. Unfortunately, getting Carpet Exchange to actually resolve the issue became a four-year nightmare. The original manager we dealt with, Laura, was, in our experience, rude, dismissive, and unprofessional throughout the process. At one point, an inspector came out through Laura to evaluate the flooring. According to the current manager, Tyler Berrett, that inspector was independent, and Carpet Exchange does not have access to the inspection report. After years of getting nowhere, the issue eventually made its way to Tyler. Tyler acknowledged that there were installation issues with our flooring and told us he would "make it right." For the first time in years, we thought someone was finally going to take ownership. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Tyler also told us that we were not the only customers who had experienced installation issues with Jan, the original installer, and that there had also been problems with customers trying to get issues resolved through Laura. Most recently, Pablo, another installer, came out to evaluate the flooring. Installation concerns were again recognized, including issues with the subfloor and how the flooring had been installed. His recommendation to Tyler was that the floor would need to be completely removed and reinstalled. We also had multiple contractors come out over this four-year ordeal. Each one stated that the floor was improperly installed and that we should contact the original installer to correct the issue. And now we're being told that we're outside the installation warranty period. That excuse is incredibly difficult to accept when we reported the problem less than one year after installation. We didn't sit on this problem for four years and then suddenly demand a new floor. We complained. We followed up. We escalated. We waited. We continued trying to resolve it. We paid Carpet Exchange for professional installation. We expected the subfloor to be properly prepared, the flooring to be properly installed, and the company to stand behind its work. Instead, we ended up with a floor that started failing within months and a customer-service experience that has been exhausting, frustrating, and completely unacceptable. Four years is an outrageous amount of time to fight for a resolution to a problem reported within the first year. This isn't just about flooring anymore. It's about accountability. We trusted Carpet Exchange. They completely lost that trust. If you're considering using Carpet Exchange, especially for an expensive flooring installation, do your research, ask questions, and document EVERYTHING. FOUR YEARS. PROBLEMS REPORTED WITHIN THE FIRST YEAR. INSTALLATION ISSUES ACKNOWLEDGED. "MAKE IT RIGHT" PROMISED. STILL NOT FIXED. DO NOT USE CARPET EXCHANGE.
