We've used carpet exchange a few times over the last 20 years. This time, we worked with them for carpet on the second floor of the house. The in-house staff is responsive and knowledgeable. It's always easy to get good, honest answers to questions. We chose a pet friendly nylon from Shaw and are happy with the carpet itself. But I do have a few issues. 1. They require payment in full in advance. I get it since their installers are outsourced. But I prefer working with more customer-centric businesses. 2. The installation was not the best. The team was not as considerate as we hoped. They did show up on time and verify they had the right product. Great. Once they got to work, they blasted music without asking. Since my husband and I work from home, we asked them to turn it down/off. Which they did without complaint. Later, one of the guys used the primary toilet for some time without asking. Granted, we could have shown them which toilet we wanted them to use. I just feel the primary bedroom's toilet is off limits in any home. I wish they had asked which bathroom to use instead. The cleanup was also rushed, so they missed a big area where fibers fell that we cleaned up ourselves. While they did move furniture (which we paid for), we're pretty sure they damaged an expensive dresser but we can't prove it. If you hire them to move furniture, photograph it in detail right beforehand. Any one of these things in isolation wouldn't have mattered. But by the end of it I was pretty frustrated. None of this speaks to the staff of Carpet Exchange. As I said, they are excellent. The carpet is reasonably priced for the quality. But because of the install, I'm not sure I'd use the company again. read more

I had originally started a bid for some countertops for my office and vanity with Home Depot, however, after having trouble with the process in the past and then learning that they couldn't advise me on whether a seam would be needed, I decided to get a quote with Carpet Exchange. Not only did a comparable product come in 1600 less, they were willing to measure free of charge to ensure they could do my main desk without a seam. It turned out that one wasn't needed as they suspected. The measure went well- they pointed out an issue with the previous desk supports, and I was able to get this addressed ahead of time. They were able to deliver on the installation, and I was happy with the final product. In the end, they were focused on my needs, which I greatly appreciated. Wasted 3 weeks waiting for a quote, and that's after they came and measured, before trying to find someone else. It really messed up our timeline for moving in to the house. If you just need to get the materials, you can order online and be done with it, but if you need flooring installed, do yourself a favor and go to someone who actually wants your business. read more

We were harassed for complete payment before they even measured the space then we were lied to about when the final payment was due. I choose not to do business with liars. She didn't know, my husband said he had done some research between the level. I asked her since she was the employee what she thought? She said to me I didn't need to be condescending! I am writing this to update my experience with Carpet Exchange. My situation was brought to the attention of the store manager, John Bess. John did an onsite inspection of the quality of the work that was done and assured us that it would be corrected to our satisfaction. He was a man of his word! He worked diligently with us to make sure we had the quality of carpet we needed, had one of their top installers do the pull and replacement of the first carpet and then had one of his best craftsmen come out and fix all of the blemishes of the original installer. John Bess is the sort of brand ambassador any organization would be honored to have representing their company. We are beyond satisfied with our final results and highly recommend Carpet Exchange. Bought a lot of Cortec flooring and the accessories from this Littleton carpet exchange. The flooring is amazing , but getting my baby thresholds were a joke, Leah bass and her manager Mr Bass are the worst . we were promised our products would be in at the time they were supposed to, but they never came in on time when they were promised. miss bass doesn't have a clue about anything. One of the worst customer service I have dealt with. all I can say is that the Littleton store promises you a time for the product to arrive . Don't believe it . we will be dealing in the future with a different store not the Littleton store. PROMISES THAT CANT BE Kepted in the Littleton store. I would hope that this store would give a discount for all the hassle we had to go through. Overall the new carpet and core-tec vinyl floors are a huge upgrade to our condos looks. However, I cannot in good faith recommend carpet exchange for flooring installation. I appreciate them attempting to fix the issue but the continued lack of communication after discovering the issues is annoying to say the least. We had to reach out for updates instead of them taking the initiative to keep us in the loop. Their staff was late to every single appointment we made with them. Their lack of attention to detail was also concerning in that they cracked baseboards, didn't have appropriate supplies with them or notice that they deeply scratched our brand new flooring during both the carpet installation and again when re-installing the LVP flooring. As a first time flooring customer I am disappointed in this experience. I had hoped we could trust this company and their staff to do the job right, the first time, but that was not the case. I'm leaving the review at 4 stars, because they did take care of us on the extra material costs it took to fix it and they did get it done before our deadline. 10/16- After several miscommunication issues, they came and took care of our installation issues. We are satisfied with the new flooring. It still has spots that aren't quite solid, but a lot of that might be our 80s era condo floor. I'll still need to fix the baseboard they cracked, but it should be no big deal. 10/12- regional installation manager stopped by and agreed there were some serious problems with the install. He said they need to pull up the entire floor and start over with extra materials. They are working on some numbers for the extra materials and will be getting back to me on an install date. 10/10- my sales person Matt stopped by today. He was very apologetic about the issues. Assures me that their team is on it and are committed to getting us taken care of. 10/10- was called by the regional install manager and my sales person. They seem to be taking the issues seriously and have assured me it will be taken care of. 10/9- Just had brand new core-tec vinyl floors installed. The floor is super uneven. There are high and low sections everywhere. One section bounces up and down. They cracked my baseboard in a couple of places. And there is a half inch gap between the flooring and baseboard in certain places. Super disappointed in the installation quality. Left a thick layer of dust over everything. So far no one at the store will help me. I have to wait until the sales person is back and could only leave a voicemail. No manager was available. read more

I had a horrible experience with Home Depot and their installer, Hom Solutions. Had to pay full amount up front supposed to take about 2 weeks to get in then they would install. First appointment was cancelled after 4 weeks, absolutely the worst customer service, won't go into the whole story but I ended up cancelling the order. A friend recommended Carpet Exchange.Went and talked to Liz. Wow ! She was fantastic and within a few days, my carpet is installed. Felt really bad for the installer, nice guy working with I believe might have been is wife and daughter? My air conditioner isn't working and it was so hot, but he didn't stop until it was all done. I bought some carpet from them and hired my own installer. When it arrived and the installer went to lay it it was short in length. My installer went crazy and was mad and wanted more money and kept raising the price. I called the store and talked to John the manager. It was early morning and he was super busy. But he took the time to find out my problem offered me a solution and followed through. He is a great manager. He never dropped the ball and followed through. I am very happy with the products and service from this place. Our salesman was very helpful. He even personally delivered the core-tec after a miscommunication about the date it was to arrive. My only complaint with the core-tec was that the boxes we got were 1-2 shades darker than the samples I took home. That was frustrating, but recognize different dye lots from the core-tec are likely to blame. I love the carpet! (Mellow Haven, Harvest Straw color) They gave us an excellent price on both the carpet and the core-tec. Even our designer who gets things at wholesale couldn't beat their price. The install gets a "B". They did a good job, but weren't very careful with some new cabinets we had in, and beat up the trim a bit. I think some of that is to be expected so not sure if we should hold it against them or not. Also, we could see some seams and a tack strip wasn't in the right spot on one wall. I called our salesman, and they are coming back out to fix it. Overall I am happy with the carpet exchange and would recommend them. read more

I shopped the Aurora Havana store which was great but because of working in Littleton I stopped in this store to revisit my selection. Matt and Eva were working the day I went in. I purchased new carpet for my house to prepare to sell it, and also had them install new baseboard trim. They scheduled the baseboard trim installation days prior to the carpet install. I thought this was "backwards" but when I asked, they said it would be fine. Low and behold, the baseboard went in just fine, but when they installed the new carpet, it was lower than the previous carpet, which meant there was a solid 1/4" gap between the carpet and the trim, which looked terrible. In addition, the carpet installers came to install the carpeting on a Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend and were at my house until well after 8pm. Totally uncalled for! I was told it would be installed during the day and did not anticipate having to wait around all night for them to finish. I complained and they said they'd send the trim installer back to resolve the issue by installing quarter round at the base of the baseboard. Not an ideal solution, but fine. Well, they dragged their feet and called me every couple of weeks saying they were "working on it" and by the time they were ready to come back I had sold the house already and moved out. Now they went ahead and charged my credit card for the baseboard install, without my consent, 2 months later. I never even got an invoice from them, nor did they ever address my concerns. HORRIBLE experience. I would never, ever recommend using Carpet Exchange and I will be reporting this to the BBB. read more

I ordered carpet on a Sunday with a promise of install the following Saturday. I got a call Friday night at 6pm from my sales rep Ginger telling me the carpet was stuck at a warehouse in Aurora and couldn't be picked up until the following Monday. I immediately went to the store to cancel only to be talked into picking another carpet she had in stock to keep the Saturday install. I got up early Saturday to finish moving all my furniture out of 3 bedrooms only to get another call telling me that carpet was promised to someone else. I had to make 3 trips to the store to get the refund of my down payment and credit to their finance company. They were rude and showed no sympathy to the fact I was inconvenienced by TWO CANCELLATIONS in 24 hours! I will never buy anything from these clowns!!!!! read more

Carpet install went smoothly and the contractors were very nice. Have been trying to coordinate tile install for months and while there have been hits and misses on both sides (ours and theres), the accountability and ease to do business with is challenging. You are assigned a specific rep - fair enough I usually prefer a single point of contact. That said, if said point of contact is not around ANYONE that works in the building should be able to help... They don't. Too much customer effort required to make this a good experience. CE management team - your competition gets it. Nice people and clean store but the process gets in the way of getting things done. Prospective clients, take your business elsewhere. read more

I have had the pleasure of using Carpet Exchange for my own home and now for my parents home. I do not live close to where my parents live so I went in to the store closer to where my parents live. After meeting with John at this location we took many samples home to see the different flooring options in my parents home. The large samples that we were able to take home made a huge difference. When my parents returned the samples to the store, they were surprised to walk in to a warm greeting from John. In today's world it was nice to hear that the store manager remembered my parents. John took the time out of his schedule to take the time to set an appointment with my parents to take proper measurements (I had walked off the room sizes, not to exact though). After meeting with my parents and myself in their home he was able to give us his professional opinions. My parents were intimidated at first, after the in home appointment they were on board. John suggested his Coretex flooring and Smart carpeting. We all decided on the specific colors of the different floors and the order was placed! Even with my parents selecting special order flooring, John scheduled us to be installed in just ten days(we had work to do to get ready!!). The installs both went smoothly. Angelo and his crew called when they were on their way and were able able to install the coretex flooring and colonial park carpeting. Angelo walked around the home with my dad after each job was completed and thanked my parents and myself for using him and his crew. A couple days after the job was completed my parents received a call from John asking how they did, my dad gives them enthusiastic two thumbs up! No matter how low the price.....when Carpet Exchange sends workers that do not speak English....do not come prepared with the proper tools....do not pull the old pad staples and pad underneath the staples....I can still see the seams in my $30/yd carpet in my Living Room......NO MATTER HOW LOW THE PRICE IT DOES NOT MAKE UP FOR A REALLY ROTTEN INSTALL JOB. AND.....for a really small job (2 Rooms) that were ready to go.....furniture moved, etc....they were STILL HERE ALL DAY (8 Hours)! The helper guy didn't even take his hands out of his pockets for the first three hours he was here. Save yourself a great deal of aggravation and DO NOT use Carpet Exchange. read more

We stopped in 2/8/18 to get set up for carpet installation on their President's Day $499 for 360 ft There were 3 salespeople up front sitting in their chairs One lady just finished up on s customer Young lady and gentleman were not waiting on anyone. It took over 2 minutes for the young lady to get up to help us, like we were a bother. Her name is Liz So, we discussed what we needed and took carpet samples to look at. Liz told us Jennifer would be contacting us in 2 days to set up time for measurement Randy took carpet sample back to store on Sunday 2/11/18 and Liz was in the store. He told her that we still hadn't heard from Jennifer 2/14/18 still no call from Jennifer This is actually 2nd time we have been in that store to have carpet put in our home 1st time over 1 and 1/2 weeks before we received a call to get measured, we had went with another company for our family room By the way other company Stainmaster carpet and way less price than Carpet Exchange So once again Carpet Exchange huge disappointment in customer service We again chose Carpet Direct for our carpet needs read more

Overall, I didn't like the service or the flooring installation from Carpet Exchange. The flooring I wanted for the hallway was no longer being sold by Lowes (I went to the Lowes on S. Wadsworth a year earlier for kitchen flooring and felt their product and services were excellent), but since Carpet Exchange was the only dealer now offering the flooring pattern I had bought previously from Lowes for the kitchen, I had to go with them. The service at Carpet Exchange was very hit and miss - the first salesperson I dealt with was wonderful, helpful, and did all the calling to find the aforementioned flooring pattern, but when I when back in the store to actually purchase it and arrange it's installation, I had to deal with a woman who seemed not to know anything and wasn't inclined to find out - drinking coffee and answering the phone seemed to be the only thing she was knowledgeable about. When I mentioned that the previous salesperson had mentioned I could pick out the color of strip I wanted to use for the metal edging instead of the standard silver edging, she replied, "I don't know anything about that..." and then sat there looking silly. As for the installation, two young guys did what I thought was just an okay job....it looked pretty good at first (I had wanted one edge of the flooring that butted up against carpeting to be rounded off, instead of cut square and was told in the store that having it installed like that wouldn't be a problem, but when the contractors got here, they said they couldn't do it). Their mitering was a little off too, causing it to look somewhat clunky,and after a few weeks, the nails they used to secured the metal strips started to pop back out, so now my husband or I have to reflatten them ever so often. To top it off, Carpet Exchange charged quite abit more than the same service would've cost me if I had gone to Lowe's or Home Depot. I would never go back to this particular store again.... read more

I recently made a carpet purchase of $2000.00 for my house. I was not pleased with the installers that this company uses. I was quoted a show up time of between 8:00-10:00 and the installers didnt show up til 11:15. I informed the installers when they got there that I had just had the whole interior of my house painted last week & to be careful around the walls & baseboard. They told me that they would be very careful. After the installation I did a walk through & found that my walls had been scuffed and the baseboards in one room had been totally broken. The installers also left staples laying around the house and didnt clean up their mess before they left. As soon as they left I called the store, it was after 5:00 and the manager had left, so I left a message. The assocaite who answered the phone said he would be sure the manager called me first thing the next morning. I never received a call from the manager and had to call her. She offered to refund me $75.00 for my troubles and was not customer service oriented. $75.00 refund is not worth my time and materail that I need to fix their mistakes. I will never use Carpet Exchange again and will never refer them to my friends and family. read more

Even though Pat was patient and understanding about our thinking and selection process I cannot say that we were satisfied with the final product after spending almost $7,000 for just over 1,000sf of carpeting. The guy who came to measure recommended we Kilz the cement floor prior to re-carpeting considering the condition of the existing carpeting and the pet stains. I had to agree even though $500 seemed steep. Unfortunately for the overworked, non-English speaking carpet installer no one told him that the floor would have to be scraped and cleaned up of debris prior to installation. At one point I had to have him come back and remove his pencil from underneath the carpeting. He laughed because he couldn't figure out where he had lost it. Then I had to have him come back and tuck in the piece meeting the threshold in the kitchen. 15 months later I am writing this just to let others know that if you aren't there overseeing the installation you might find yourself walking on very obvious pieces of cement chunks underneath high end Berber carpeting. Once the carpeting was installed the only one who would take our calls was the non-English speaking installer. Ironic. Pitiful. read more

When we picked out our tile they said they would have to order it but never informed us we would have to pick it up at a different location. The Denver warehouse which is only open till 5pm is where our tile was delivered. Who can get there in time after work during rush hour? But the Denver sales office is open until 8pm. That doesn't make any sense. Then I called to ask about returning a whole box of tile that we didn't use. The Littleton location said she didn't know if it was special order even after looking at it in the computer system. So she gave me the Denver office number and said I would have to speak with them. The Denver office informed me that anything ordered from outside vendors cannot be returned and is considered a special order. Why weren't we told that??? We won't be shopping here again. The sales offices need to get it together and inform their customers what the heck is going on. read more

I purchased Granite Kitchen Counter Tops from Ginger at the Carpet Exchange Littleton Location. My only complaints were that Ginger did not explain the booking or Grain matching at seams may or may not be exact , Clocking or what ever you want to call it would not match on all pieces. The Installers From Stoneworks Colorado did a good job on install and I was compensated for some cost on the booking misinformation. Installers broke the first largest piece when attempting to lay it down on counter top.. Next day they brought out new pieces and the install went superb.. Install takes a long time and is a ton of work for the installers.. Also.. The under mount Stainless sink was short a little Silicone seal and when I tested the sink by flooding it all the way to the top to the Granite, It would leak some water. I calked this myself and the leak fixed. Not that anyone would ever flood a dual sink like this.. But... I did in order to check every thing... All in all.. A great install.. And Beautiful looking counter tops made of Granite !! Beautiful !!! Good job... Job well done !! read more
