I went to this place because it was one of the two shops recommended by my former insurance company. I was involved in a crash and my vehicle, which had under 50,000 miles on it at the time of the crash, sustained major front end damage on the passenger side. The model I own is a common one and getting parts for it should not present any difficulties, but they had my car for three weeks, most of which was spent waiting for parts for my car.
I was told that I needed all sorts of new parts, including a passenger side front ball joint, and the itemized copy of the bill my insurance company received listed this part as having been replaced. (The bill was for more than $4,000).
The shop called me on a Friday to tell me my car was ready to be picked up, but as I had another place I was expected to be, I told them I could not pick it up until Monday.
They said that was fine, but when I arrived Monday the car was not in their front lot waiting for me. The reason, according to them, was that when the mechanic moved it to the front lot that morning he noticed it needed a front end alighment, so they had sent it out to another shop to have the work done.
Needless to say, I was flabbergasted. What kind of body shop does not automatically order a front end alignment for a vehicle which has been in a major head-on collision? When I brought this up to my insurance company, they seemed unconcerned, so I am guessing they have received other such complaints about Crossroads Collision.
But wait, there's more. Recently I took the vehicle to a highly rated shop to have my annual inspection done. The car was fine aside from two issues. One was wiper blades. The other was the passenger side front ball joint. It was obvious that Collision Center had never replaced it as it was original equipment and in bad shape. In failing to do what they had said they had done, they committed fraud and also endangered me, my passengers, pedestrians, and drivers of other vehicles. I find myself wondering what else they didn't do but billed my insurance company for anyway. Obviously they don't care and I am guessing they have done this sort of thing many times.
