I actually had them remove the charge for one of my headlights. But, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed ignorance on their part and the possibility that they removed at least one of the headlights because "that's what the computer said to do". You know how that works? These independent non-specific-vehicle-certified shops get these computers that tell them exactly what to do so the techs don't have to do a lot of thinking? It sometimes compresses the time they work on your car, but it could cost the consumer extra stuff that you wouldn't otherwise had to do even if it's quicker. Of course no one is as quick on working on your car as a technician/mechanic who works on the make and model of your car all the time. Then there was the overspray on surrounding areas of where the work was being done which I had corrected later on. They also employed the worst cleanup job I've experienced from over 8 autobody shops I've had various cars worked on over the years; it was dust material inside my car and all over the other parts of the body that weren't worked on. They couldn't even just wash it down. There was more from the vent when I turned on the AC. But, their labor rates were downright cheap compared to many for this type of non-dealership-type work. So, if you're just into cheap labor and don't care about getting nickel and dimed on other stuff you don't really know about because you don't really know much about cars, then by all means this is probably not too bad of a place. Either way, I don't really trust independent auto repair shops that also sell used cars on the same lot. There's always something shady in those places. Also, if you live in the Tigard area and looking for someplace close by to get DEQ tested....DO NOT GET YOUR DEQ TESTING HERE! Let me remind you of the cost for DEQ testing: -DEQ Centers = $25 DEQ fee + vehicle registration fee -Canyon Auto Repair in Tigard = $90 + $25 DEQ fee + vehicle registration fee. If your check engine light comes on while you're there and you want these guys to just do some troubleshooting they're going to charge you for that. And, if you're sucker enough that you also want them to repair said problem they probably created to generate business then it's going to cost you even more.

What would be worse than not able to find a body shop to support after a collision?…read more We have a mild/medium collision that damaged both fender and bumper near the driver seat. The key problem bugging us is the driver door wouldn't open enough to get in. I am in desperate to look for an autobody to help me look into it so I can drive. Called 7-8 body shop, none of them can even schedule estimate 6-12 weeks out!! How crazy is that huh? Then I found Peter's Quality Autobody, he asked me to bring the car in the same day. He gave me an estimate in a reasonable range. In one week, I have the car fully fixed and run like a charm. Communication with Peter is simple and straight forwards. They were informative and respectful. And what could anyone do but wait for parts? Just took the truck in again on Friday. Battery, alternator, spark plugs. Didn't get there until noon. They ordered the alternator. It's the following Monday and the truck is done and in the driveway. They're just so dang FAST. Quality work, reasonable prices, fast service. I honestly don't know what I'll do if they ever move or go out of business.

I called autofix to see if they could provide with the same tires (continental cross contact) as my rears. Ali who I spoked to said no problem and he would have it all sorted and schedule me to come in. took 2 weeks to get the process going and then it snowed, so another week went by. I went in and had them replaced. a week later I purchased another pair from my job so that my Audi would have all new tires all around since it's a Quattro (all wheel drive) system. a month went by and I was applying tire shine to my tires when I noticed the tires up front (which are the tires NW autofix swapped) were different from my rears. fronts are now pro contact and my rears are cross contact. I've reached out to and autofix and spoke to Ali, he acknowledged that the supplier only had pro contacts but failed to let me know and went and had Thomas install them knowing they weren't the same tires as the previous tires the Audi had. he said he would contact me back and has yet to call. he is avoiding to make it right and now I am forced to purchased another set out of my picked because he is avoiding to their mistake. if such a simple mistake was made, I can only imagine what other mistakes could occur at this shop. After a few issues with another mechanic, and finding out that my Scion xD (that I bought in 2011 at HM) was still under warranty, I called up HM Motorsports to have them take a look. Ron was extremely helpful - and has a dry sense of humor, too. I left the car there overnight to get a new alternator put in, and he called when necessary to keep me updated. The whole warranty process was a breeze. My car is running great now. I think the hardest thing to find is a mechanic you really trust - especially if you're not a "car guy." After my few conversations with Ron, he strikes me as an honest and dependable person - and I'm seriously thinking about going back to HM again if my car needs any major work, even though I live WAY on the other side of town. It had been replaced 3-5 years ago and it was the same issue. This time it was stuck. I told him the issue and he said "how do you know that's the problem?" I said it had happened before and it was replaced, same issue. He said "yeah but did YOU figure it out or have it diagnosed?" I said "I KNOW this is the problem." I definitely felt like he was being super condescending at that point. CONTEXT: A few months back I had an issue with my temperature gauge. My mechanic could find NO issues and thought the gauge had malfunctioned. He said to take it to the dealership and make sure that's what's wrong. The car didn't overheat, the gauge just went crazy high. No leaks no issues with the radiator. I took it to H&M since VW had such a backlog and no appointments. John was the one that checked me in THAT day, and came out and said "yeah I can smell that radiator fluid leak, that's the issue." When again, I said "I am pretty sure it's the temperature gauge." RED FLAG on the attitude. PRESENT day: he asked when I want to schedule and I said the day after Labor Day. And he's silent so I say what's available? He said "when do you want to come in?" Again I say Tuesday, and he asked time, we settle on 9:30 and I say we will buy the part. Thanks bye. I was NOT enjoying being treated that way, so I wanted OFF the phone. A few days later, my husband says "have them order the part." So I updated it using their online system, which I got a text to use: see photos. That update never got TO the business. I didn't want to call again and be berated, so I trusted that the online system would work to communicate. I arrived at 9AM for my 9:30 AM.appointment, and decided to check in with Mindy because if I didn't want to have to talk to John again. I asked if they had the part and she said no. I said I had gotten a confirmation email when I sent it in their online system. She said she didn't see anything and would ask John and they would update me as soon as they had a timeframe. I have used mechanics for many years, known MANY personally and part of business is updating the customer and ensuring they don't need the vehicle back same day. That was NOT done. I called at 3pm, thankfully getting Mindy, who said they had started working on it and were trying to open the trunk latch but were having a hard time because it was broken. (well yes, what I told John was accurate...face palm.) She said they would within the hour with an update. (She is VERY pleasant, kind and professional.) About an hour later, John called and said "the latch is broken and we need to order the part. It should be here by Thursday." I said "when can I pick it up and schedule to come back?" He scoffed and said "it's all tore up right now and the trunk is open. It's not going to close." I said "I hadn't planned on being without a car all week..." To which he replied "I don't know what to tell you." Y'all, I was fuming so I just hung up. I called around 12:15 on Thursday since the online system showed my car hadn't even been "inspected" yet. And I got Mindy (thank GOD!) She told me he was putting the trunk back together and it should be ready in about an hour. She offered a Lyft ride to come get me, but I declined because I was in the middle of a workout and she offered again and I said no thank you but. I told her that when I checked the status, I saw HER name listed as the Advisor was relieved because of how John has treated me. When I told her about it, she apologized profusely and said she would speak to him. I went to pickup my car and Mindy explained what they did (replace the trunk latch, and remove loose screws and put it all back together, etc.) I paid the $533.18 (geez SO expensive compared to the place I usually go and get treated WELL,) thanked Mindy and she said I was set to go. I told her I saw my car but it was in a gated yard. She apologized again, and said that she had asked for my car to be pulled around so she will have them do it immediately. I was honestly so relieved just to be leaving I didn't do the ONE thing I should have. Which was check the trunk. Big time FACE PLANT for me. Got to the store, opened the trunk, and I can hear something rolling around inside the panel. GAH!!!! I called back, got Mindy, who apologized and asked if I could come in on Monday at 10AM and promised I would be out quickly. Mindy said the tech was expecting me and it should be between 30 minutes and an hour and showed me to the waiting room. It was a nice quiet and clean area with a quiet and clean restroom. After 25 minutes Mindy came to get me, and said it was a piece of plastic from the old locking mechanism that must have been stuck and loosened with my driving. $533 later & three weeks later it's finally done!

Steve is a liar, his word means nothing. I would NOT recommend him for any kind of auto body and paint work. Stay clear of this shop. Find another auto body and paint shop. There are several in the area that do good work and do as promised. I found another to paint my car for $ 650.00. His name should be UNLucky auto body and paint.
