What would be worse than not able to find a body shop to support after a collision? We have a mild/medium collision that damaged both fender and bumper near the driver seat. The key problem bugging us is the driver door wouldn't open enough to get in. I am in desperate to look for an autobody to help me look into it so I can drive. Called 7-8 body shop, none of them can even schedule estimate 6-12 weeks out!! How crazy is that huh? Then I found Peter's Quality Autobody, he asked me to bring the car in the same day. I went inside the office saw an older guy and I asked him if he can do a FREE estimate, older guy with an understandable English told me I'll be right with you, I said ok. I went outside, It was a hot July morning and then a teenager like 17 yrs old came out with a pen and paper to write down all the cosmetic things I wanted to be done to my car. Then got inside after a while came out with printed papers not helpful at all to tell me exactly who much it'll cost me if I don't want to do ALL work done at once. Which I told him from the beginning, I might not do everything at once, so give me an amount for each thing separately. Then the teenager got inside again to print even more papers just to make it easier and clearer or how much it cost me for each thing I wanted done!! A request that not hard at all and no need for fancy printed papers. None of the printed documents were helpful and easy to read. Then the older guy came out and told me I need to pay him $30 for the estimate and all the papers they printed which I did not ask for. The older guy POINTED to a sign inside the office says $30 for FIRST estimate! I told him I asked you if you do a FREE estimate and you said I'll be right with you! Which means it will be free. That sign is on the wall hidden inside his office, which he did not offer me to get inside in the AC office on that hot July morning. They had a designated parking for the estimate customer but no sign to alert the customer that it's a $30 estimate. I told him he needs his sign of( $30 First estimate) to be VISIBLE outside the office. And when I got inside to ask if you do a free estimate his answer should be No, It's $30 for the first estimate. I did not like that at all. It's not about the $30. I paid him. Didn't care about it. It's just how he handled the situation. I got other estimates from other shops, ALL were free and honest with me from the beginning. I won't be going there anytime soon. read more

I damaged the right hand side of my car from front to back which resulted in about a $10,000 body repair work needed. Insurance is always a tricky avenue but Peter was gracious to give me a kind deal with my deposit while working with Progressive insurance company as well with the repair work. Overall the timing was communicated in an updated and clear manner. The result was awesome and my car feels refreshing to be back in. The job took about 3 and a half weeks to be completed. Despite the mostly excellent reviews here, I personally had a terrible experience. I called and spoke to "Peter" and was very clearly quoted $400 to paint new front & rear replacement bumper covers that I had purchased for my car. When I brought them in, he even re-quoted the same price, but this time specified "cash". I figured, oh I guess I'm getting a deal because he's not going to pay tax, or is ripping off the store owner (but he seemed like the owner). Anyway, I left the bumpers and he had me write down my name, phone number, and car make/model on a Post-it note. So I come back today to pick up the bumpers, hand him the cash and he says that's only for one bumper--the other is an additional $400--like double! Of course, I'm completely blown away since we discussed the price many, many times, never any mention that is was the price for EACH bumper. He then tells me he wrote the price down during our original conversation. So I say, well show me then. He brings out the same Post-it note, only now $800 is written down below my writing, only in his writing. I'm thinking, Jesus, is this guy for real? At this point, I tell him he is a dishonest business person and that I just want out of there. Now he says just pay him $600. Under protest, I basically say fine, but I want a written receipt (I figured he wouldn't like that--tax cheats rarely do). Sure enough, I had to drop an f-bomb to get written receipt (BTW, maybe it's cultural, but my using a single curse word appeared to be extremely offensive to him. I hate to do that, and can't remember the last time in my 58 years I did, but it certainly got his attention). Anyway, this was an awful day, awful experience for me. The guy seemed so nice and the shop looked great, very clean. Maybe he just saw an easy opportunity with me. I don't know. As the lesson often is, get everything in writing! The guy I spoke to on the phone to schedule an estimate was not polite, nor friendly. And then when I got there for my estimate he said was even less friendly in person. He also did not mention to me on the phone the $30 estimate fee. I really am not sure how they have such a high rating. read more

I had a Lexus NX300 2018 with a large deep scratch and dent on the door along with some more shallow scratches. Spent an afternoon getting quotes from various places. Some places outright told me they HAD to replace that door which would have cost significantly more. Peter took one look at it and told me straight away that he could repair this and blend the paint without replacing anything. Promised to have it fixed in 4-5 days I dropped the car off on a Monday morning and had it back in my possession by Friday. Car exterior was washed, dent was gone and the paint looked flawless. Even vacuumed and cleaned the interior of the car as well. Quality Auto Body delivered everything that was promised and more at a much more competitive price than some of the larger auto body shops in the area. I just got my car back from Quality Auto Body on 173rd and Shaw, Aloha. I could not be happier! My car looks GORGEOUS! It looks better than pre accident and even better than when we drove it off the lot from Hertz. They replaced the bumper that was an after market one with an actual Toyota real deal one! They totally didn't have to do that. Also some woman (I'm certain the owner of the car that hit me, though I was hit by a man) called Andy at Quality grilling him on why things cost what they did and he should lower the price etc. (I was hit VERY hard and there was EXTENSIVE damage done to my car including the drive train; the wheel /axel was concave and bent, i was hit so hard! This woman also tried to her him to give her my contact info. Uh. No. Anyway I could go on with more bits of services, repair, and customer service that was above and beyond what is expected but I won't. The experience couldn't have been better. My daughter scraped the side of her car in a tight garage on a support pole at her apartment in Eugene. We own the car outright and didn't want to make an insurance claim since no other property was damaged. My teenage driver banged the bumper of our car when pulling into tight garage. We did not want to use insurance to fix it and went to three body shops for an estimate. All three shops described how they would fix and paint similarly. Quality Auto was the most through when giving the estimate. Their estimate was $100 less than the first place we went and $50 less than the second. Even more importantly, they could take our car right away and as promised our car was finished in 2 1/2 days. The other places estimated anywhere from one to three weeks for repair and they did not have availability to fix our car for a couple of weeks. Quality Auto did an excellent job fixing the bumper. They also washed the car and vacuumed inside. Hopefully we do not need to come back but would return here in a heartbeat if needed. read more
