Compared to the other Tigard location, this one is clean and very well organized. The gentlemen at the store were friendly, helpful and able to locate the items I needed. No pressure to buy anything or get warranties- just a straight forward interaction. Definitely worth it to save nearly $150. Will definitely be coming back here for my future automotive needs.

On Sunday I went to AutoZone to see if I could figure out why my car wasn't starting occasionally...I enter the location. Three people working two techs and it looked like the manager was working the front and the phones. I was patient as I waited my turn, then i asked him for a diagnostic test for my car. He explained that he couldn't leave the counter but he explained how to do it. I went out, did it and came back in. While he downloaded my data he was becoming disturbingly upset. Started to slam the phone and honestly I was a little bothered. After the data completely transferred he told me that since my "check engine light" wasn't on there was nothing red on the report. I hope his day got a little better.

I…read moredon't know everything about cars and have been faced with people trying to rip me off before. After my car unexpectedly died over the weekend, I realized I was way overdue for a new battery, and initially thought to go to auto zone, but a friend said they'd overcharge me. So I went to this O'Reilly's because it was the closest to where I was that day. Dennis helped me find the battery I needed, gave me a discount through my company, and offered to install the battery. But it doesn't stop there. Upon taking my battery out he realized the issue was much more severe than I previously thought. My negative terminal had partially separated from the coils because it was so old (7+ years) and had been leaking a significant amount of battery acid...two inches of it to be exact was just sitting in the battery compartment. He could have sent me away, but he and Matt grabbed soda powder from the back and poured it all in the compartment to soak up the acid and then vacuumed it out. It took a significant amount of time that they didn't have to give me, but I was so incredibly grateful not just for Dennis's cleaning and installation of it but also taking the time to explain what was going on and what I should do in the future. They both were kind and did not talk down to me, as is common in the car-world to women, and this I almost appreciated more than anything. Matt even recommended a good mechanic to me who could take a good look at anything else that could have been affected. After Dennis was done soaking up and vacuuming up the acid, he installed the battery and sealed it with some grease, etc. I could not have had a better experience and will be driving out of my way (30+ minutes) from now on to visit this specific location next time I need something. These guys rock.

I know I have a bad oil leak and needed more break fluid, thanks to my dad walking me through those steps on how to figure out what my car needed. I will never make the mistake of going somewhere other than O'Reilly's again! Thank you Kent!

Pro tip: don't overthink it, friend. One time, I had a windshield wiper fly off during a storm. God's honest. And by the end of my drive back home, I had a semi-circle etched onto my windshield from where the metal part scraped against the glass. So this time, when I foolishly tried to use my wiper as an ice scraper and broke it clean off, I was thrilled to see through the soggy portal afforded by my one working wiper the next day that I happen to work just across the street from an auto parts store! Score! They do have a million windshield wipers. A million. And for a lady who won't be rebuilding an engine any time soon, this felt comprehensive, and was a sweet comfort indeed. As was the helpfulness of the folks behind the counter, including the dude who offered to install them. "Why sure!" said I, confessing my automotive aptitudinal amnesia. Said he, encouragingly, easily popping those lifesavers on my window: "See? You didn't need me. You've got this." Aww. But I DID, in fact, need them. I mean, I can see clearly now, but that rain is far from gone.

Clark Auto has been helping me out for over two years now and I am continually impressed with the knowledge of the staff and the amount of inventory they carry on the premises. Which is saying a lot because for a long time I was not a fan of the NAPA Auto Parts stores but it seems they have made some improvements over the years. Some good reasons why I like this place: 1. They keep their prices at a reasonable level, unlike Baxter's these days. 2. I have watched them serve women there and they do it with patience and understanding. Some women are intimidated by parts stores and rightly so, they can be. Unlike Schucks, these guys don't make women feel intimidated. 3. They give you at least a 7% discount just for showing your AAA Card, sometimes more. Unlike Mike's or Carquest. 4. They are easy to find** Since I was in the business so long I don't normally Yelp a parts store, I am usually too critical and feel like I can do everyone's job there better than they can. Clark's doesn't make me feel that way. ** Yelp shows them on the wrong side of the street on the map!
