Great customer service!! I came to this AutoZone meeting a seatbelt replacement because one length was too short. The Seat belt adapter I came for didn't work so I needed to buy an entirely new belt. I wanted to make sure I could use it safely, so I opened in the store. The instructions were useless and if it was not for William Marquez and his manager, I would not have been able to walk out of the store with what I needed. The manager allowed William to take the time not just to show me how to do it, but to actually do it for me. I was so grateful. I could never have figured this out on my own. I was having a horrible day and these guys were my shining star. I have had two windshield wipers break in the last mont(don't buy from Costco). Of course our first major day of rainfall I was completely windshield wiper less. I showed up to Autozone and they were so friendly and helpful. Went to Sherwood AutoZone for a valve cover gasket. I wanted to pick it up as opposed to have it shipped to me. Amazon had it for $20.00 and AutoZone wanted $38.00 for it. Price was high but I let it slide. Manager was helping me when I attempted to pay using my credit card to scan and pay. He said that the card reader "has been acting wonkey". Kody, who had previously ignored me, said that it was my credit card and I need to complain to my bank. WTF?!! I wasn't his customer. And the manager just told me the machine was wonky. Who swipes their card four times in this age of cybertheft? I asked for my money back but they wanted WAY more information about me than I was willing to share, considering Kody's cocky comment. Feb. 04: Greg, Store Mgr. actually called me to make things right and I just got back from seeing him at AZ. He courteously gave me back a reasonable difference in price so I said, "you have your customer back". Made a purchase using Autozone Rewards credit. Had to return/refund part of the order. When I get the new receipt there was a discrepancy, that didn't reflect the return refund credit. Asked the "grey" shirt that had helped me to resolve it. He gave me the run around that he couldn't help me, since only Corporate can get access to my Autozone Rewards account. He then asked another "grey" shirt (manager) who then gave me a lot of run around BS also and that he could get fired for trying to help me with this issue. I was upset at this point, and he was angry also and ran away to hide somewhere. So then I called the 800 number for Autozone. Arthur who was on the phone then explained that there is a 24 hour period before I would see the credit on my Rewards account. Simple as that. If only the first two guys simply had said that, then the problem would have been solved. It looks like they need retraining and NOT to give so much BS to customers because they are afraid they might get in trouble or something. Otherwise this location, has been fairly good. read more

I've been to this location three times and each time I've been in there, the service people were completely unhelpful and acted like they hated being there. When I asked for a recommendation about a polishing compound, the guy said he had no experience with any of it and had no idea. I would think that someone who works in an auto care should have some idea or could ask another employee for a recommendation. I would prefer to go somewhere else next time even though this location is near. Then another guy proceeded to I recommend that I use zip ties instead of spring compressors. That's an A1 way to kill yourself. The worst experience I have ever had with any auto parts store or any retail store for that matter. I bought 10 quarts of Mobile 1 oil from them this past Sunday because they had a sale going on (Bosch/Mobile 1 Special). However, I found out another store had the same oil for a cheaper price and I did not have to purchase two oil filters for cars I didn't own. This particular Autozone store did not carry my VW or Mercedes oil filters. So I returned the 10 quarts of oil and two filters one hour later. Unfortunately the staff only credited me for 7 quarts of oil and since I was in a hurry I didn't notice until the credit card company sent me an email crediting an amount that was $17.04 less than what I was supposed to be refunded. I just assumed most people could count to ten. The trouble started when I went back to this Autozone on Tuesday to notify them of their error. The manager practically accused me of "stealing" the missing 3 quarts of oil. I asked him to check his inventory and afterwards he tells me that if I had returned 10 quarts he should have 22 quarts whereas he only had 21 quarts. I thought he was going to accuse me of only returning 9 quarts instead of 7 quarts....I was flabbergasted to say the least. He treated this affair as the store doing me a favor by finally crediting my credit card back with the difference. The manager never apologized for the mistake his staff made and criticized me for NOT catching THEIR MISTAKE earlier. This type of unbelievable rudeness should not be condoned in any retail store. Stay away from this Autozone store unless you want a bad experience. read more

My first time in this store, I was helped at the Tigard AutoZone store by one of the most attentive, considerate and knowledgeable salespeople I have experienced, in any type of store. His background as a mechanic was especially appreciated because I know a little about cars, but not enough to feel secure. He knows his stuff. Michael was spot on with my diagnostic questions, made sure the parts I needed fit my car (sounds easier than it is sometimes) and gave me excellent advice considering that my car is 20 years old and high mileage. I spent less money than I thought I would have to thanks to him. Michael is a credit to the sales staff of this store, and deserves the highest commendation. AutoZone is also to be commended for hiring customer service representatives like Michael. read more

I would give ZERO stars!!! If I could!!!!! The mechanic asked for a belt, and AutoZone gave us the wrong belt that immediately started to split when we it was fixed, which could have damaged the car if it broke. So then, we had to change it again, and AutoZone guy said that the one they gave us was the wrong one, and gave us another that was 2 feet to long for our car. It cost us extra on service because of there inability to identify the correct belt. They take no responsibility of their mistakes. They are suppose to be the experts, and the are clearly not! read more

I recently purchased a used BMW with a multitude of problems arising soon after the purchase. It was clear that the seller had passed their dilemma on to me. My check engine light came on last night as yet another milestone in this cars shakey past. I have hardly enough money to fix a car, let alone a Beamer. The free diagnostic was what got me in the store, but what I got was a complete 180 on the confidence I had in my car, and a whole new outlook on my future as being its owner. Samuel is the man. He single handedly ended a ton of my worries. The diagnostic indicated a mass air flow sensor needed to be replaced. I told him how expensive I have been told this part is- $1000 was the quote my Beamer specific mechanic gave me. He told me how much I would be overpaying and proceeded to pop my hood and instruct me on how simple it would be to replace the part on my own. We looked up the price, 220 bucks! My struggles went from believing I was in deep in a hole, to realizing that 220 bucks and a little know-how can relieve all my worries. On top of the knowledge he gave me, Samuel proceeded to replace my air filter for me. I highly recommend you NOT ask them to do this for I felt extremely guilty. You can go to their "competition" and have them put in an air filter for just 25 bucks; autozone is a parts store for people to do their own vehicle servicing. But given that I was extremely lacking in knowledge and Samuel has the best customer first perspective, he helped me through the process right in front of the store. I highly recommend anyone going to autozone not only for their parts, but for their knowledge, attitude, and overall customer service. read more

This location is ridiculous, I placed an order online for store pickup assuming this would be quicker as they could fill it and I could skip the parts guy. Instead I waited 4 hours and never got an email it was ready. I tried to call and was put on hold for over 20 minutes, called back and was instantly put on hold again. There is no excuse for this, if they are too busy to help customers then hire more people you should never have someone on hold that long for any reason. When we finally got a hold of someone he claimed they just got the order which if true means they should fire their IT as it should be instant but it was likely bullshit. He then claimed they just cleared out the store and this was the first time they had to look, which again if true they need to hire new people that understand how to interleave the online and in-store customers so you aren't wasting their whole day. Customer service was insanely rude despite my wife somehow being calm and polite after 30 mins on hold. I would strongly recommend never ordering from their site for in-store pickup, Oreillys has always been ready within 15 minutes, this is the last time I'll use AutoZone. read more

I stopped there yesterday morning to purchase some 10 and 20 amp fuses for my car. When I came into the store I was met with a glare from the guy behind the counter who was talking on the phone. I found the aisle with the fuses but had a question so I patiently waited until he was off the phone. He saw me and again with the glare. At that moment a person who apparently was a regular customer came in and the guy starts having a conversation with him, ignoring me completely. Yes, I'm an "old man" and apparently to this guy old people are a pain. I left and went to the O'Reilly's Auto parts in Tualatin and was greeted with a friendly smile The guy answered my question, I made my purchase and was out of the store in minutes.
