This is the second time I've used Cross Country Moving Company and both times I've been more than just satisfied. A really fantastic experience second time round! When you are single and are not worried about getting stuck in one place and wish for the adventure of a new job in a totally different environment. then your only real burden is thinking about relocating. This is a lot to think about though. Each time you settle somewhere, you are bound to buy something new, a souvenir, some books, a piece of furniture, whatever. And that just adds up to the whole moving fiasco. That is why when you know that you have a reliable moving company, it all makes it much easier to take control over that mess. Someone who can take this burden off your back. Or at least make it a lot easier for you. I sometimes joke that having a good moving company is like having your best friend help you. Anyway, I hired Cross Country Moving Company to move furniture from my old home to another apartment in a different state, and also ship my car and my pickup truck. There was lots of work. I would've been crazy to try to do it all by myself. Packing the boxes, loading the truck, transporting everything... Too much to worry about. Luckily, the guys from Cross Country Moving Company apparently have quite a bit of experience with unorganized customers like me, since they really seemed like they knew their job. Everything went great, despite all odds. I mean, the whole ordeal was as hard as it gets: first, one of my wardrobes got stuck in the doorway, since it was too big, even when disassembled; then the weather turned from bad to worse, when rain became a hailstorm; and finally the elevator in the new building broke down, so they had to carry everything to the 4th floor! The moving day turned out to be a veeeery long day. But they were really patient and persistent, and they managed to get all my stuff in one piece. They were on time, pleasant, hardworking, and really committed to getting the relocation just right. They did a perfect job!! Trust me, with these guys your moving will be a stress free adventure. You'll not regret it!!! Seriously, I do not have one bad word to say about them. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, both my Mustang and my pickup arrived without a scratch. Really, the only thing that was different was that there was some mud on them, but I guess that's normal in open carriers. At the end, I give Cross Country Moving Company the perfect score. I lived in Boston for years until it was time for a change. Last year, I was moving because of a job offer I got, and a friend of mine recommended that I hire Cross Country Moving Company for long distance moving. At first, I was a little skeptical even though she had nothing but compliments and words of thanks for this company. I was not that sure about how somebody else was going to take care of packing and padding and labeling better than me and handle my things and valuables with care. I have honestly never been happier to say that I was wrong! The guys that came to help me pack my items were very polite, professional and efficient. I was genuinely surprised by how easy it seemed to be for them, but I guess they have had plenty of experience. They were also pretty open and helpful because I had a lot of questions about my electronic devices and breakable things and valuable china, but they explained everything nicely, and I even learned some padding tricks from them that I plan on using in the future. Their cross country moving truck was big enough to hold all my things, and I could tell these guys have a lot of knowledge on how to load the track and arrange boxes inside. Since I was not travelling with my car, but with a friend's, I decided that I am going to trust the Cross Country Moving Company with my vehicle and book their car shipping service. At first I did not know which option to go for because I was on a tight budget, but they explained all the options that I have and even suggested the ones that were not as expensive, and we quickly found the right one for me. I seriously do not know what I would have done without these guys because it would have taken me days and days to pack all that on my own (I realized that when I saw them packing everything like it was the easiest thing in the world). I was just standing around, overseeing the process, worrying like I always do, but they quickly and carefully moved my things. I knew I would receive them without any damage or scratches because I saw the whole process. I was a little worried about my car though, because I heard that using an open vehicle for car shipping services is not that safe. However, they proved me wrong again, my car was completely the same as I left it, and thankfully it wasn't raining or snowing so I didn't even have to wash it. I received amazing service from Cross Country Movers for my recent move to the Northeast region to the South region. Specially Mia, the representative I worked with, was excellent. I had to move my car and household items. Furthermore, I planned a short stay back in my country between the time moving out from the Northeast region and moving into the South region, so I had to store all of my items somewhere until I have moved into the destination city. She tried her best to find me the right moving plan, and she was more than willing to communicate back and forth with me until we settled on the one I felt was satisfactory. Moving staffs were as amazing. In my previous resident, the staffs took a great care of moving my household items. Although I did not have large pieces of furniture, I did have things like a TV, my piano, and a work-desk chair. Moving forward, when I received them in my current resident, the staffs were very gentle in taking care of my things. After everything is done, the items and my car looked exactly the same as the did back in my previous resident, no damages or scratches. They were right on time as well (both in my previous residence and in my current residence). I would very much like to use the company's service again in the future. read more

I hired the company to move my personal belongings from Massachusetts to Texas and from the booking to final delivery everything was done in a top notch manner. When I called to get an estimate, my call was returned in less than 24 hours. When I needed to book but had to change pick up dates and # of items, they paid attention to every detail. They were early on the date of pick up and moved items so quickly (from a 3rd floor walk up) I couldn't believe it. The Boston team was exceptional! They even helped me move a few large items I was disposing of. They stored some of my items for a week and took great care of them. They also arrived at the destination a day early and offered to deliver earlier than planned. They ultimately delivered on the day requested, but put everything in its proper place and assembled a few items as well. Last but not least. The pricing was fair. This is THE company to use. I have now used Cross Country Movers two years in a row for moves within the East coast. I have been very impressed on both occasions. The first year it took only 2 hours to load 3 bedroom apartment for a long distance move to UT, and yesterday the crew finished in under 3 hours to pack for a UT to Boston, MA move. Each foreman/crew has been professional and polite in their demeanor (special thanks Mike), and fast yet careful with their work. They do a particularly good/fast job wrapping furniture to protect it during the move process. Neither crew used unnecessary moving materials to inflate the cost of the move, and their strong work ethic was noticed and much appreciated as compared to other moving companies I have previously used. Wanted to share my experience as I had found Cross Country on Yelp to begin with. On our move date the movers arrived early and waited until the building allowed the movers to enter at 8am. They packed up our downtown apartment post haste all the while showing a high level of expertise packing our furniture. Less than 4 hours and they were loaded up on the truck! Delivery was almost as perfect as pickup! One hiccup was the truck had blown it's radiator here in Hacienda literally 4 miles from our residence! They were quick to rectify by sending a different truck from their office to transfer the goods onto and finish the delivery! They even compensated us for the complications! I'm very happy that we chose these guys! I'm giving a 5 star rating due to the fact that I really thought it would be impossible for them to actually honor the guaranteed price they quoted me. My biggest concern with moving was trying to figure out which so-called moving companies are the actual moving company or are a broker who subcontracts out to an actual moving company. When I called in, I spoke with Matthew who explained everything to me that made clear sense. If a moving company gives a price based on weight, then they are a broker and will subcontract to an actual moving company who has to re-weigh everything. I get there are some benefits to hiring a broker such as them finding the absolute lowest price in the industry however this is mine and my families belongings that are going across the country so I wanted to make sure I was in good hands. So this company was the right choice for me. They did not change price on me in the middle of my move or anything tricky. read more

Full recommend. My company offered a large stipend for relocation, so I went with a full pack and ship from Chicago to Boston. My Relocation Consultant Brian was great at asking me the necessary questions and answering my own throughout the process. He was very clear about the price, with no surprise inflations like you see from other companies. CCM got me some great movers to take care of me in both cities, who were professional, cordial, and responsive. All of my materials arrived in Boston, contrary to the horror stories I heard about movers losing your things, and according to the timetable they had laid out. One piece of furniture did get damaged, but CCM was very responsive with a settlement. I hope I don't move long distances again, but if I do, I'm calling CCM. read more

Cross Country Movers did a great job with my long distance move. On the day of the move, we were a little behind getting things ready, but they took a part in packing up our beds and tables. The movers crew just worked with speed and grace while still being careful to make sure nothing got damaged. This company is very good company. Movers is very nice and honest. My location is in city downtown. Actually not a lot movers want to take but they take my case. Actually finally I got the appliances delivery . So I don't need them come. I feel sorry to them then I want to pay someone money to them. Big thanks to Cross Country Movers and Rob and Joshua, in particular. These two movers relocated my belongings all the way to St. Petersburg in Florida. I can't say I own much, but it was still a lot to do, and the team managed to complete the task very well. Everything was packed so carefully that not a thing was scratched afterwards. The way to Florida wasn't that quick, but the movers kept track of the time and never got late. From Boston to California I needed to help my sister in law move, she said she would incentivize the help. So I asked around and got recommended Cross Country movers in Boston. Their services included a quote where they can pack all item, have them ship it out to my current location and help unload the boxes. It basically simplified a slightly complex situation and boxed it all up nicely in their package and contract. Looking for a storage facility to keep my belongings till I found a place of my own. I was staying with a friend but she had to move back home to NY. So These guys were great from the beginning, They gave me a GREAT discount because I lived in the area and offered flexible payment schedule since I work off commission I dont have a set pay schedule.
