I called him on a Friday, we set up a Monday morning appointment and he arrived as expected. Good start. He was very nice and very understanding of my friendly dogs getting underfoot occasionally. He pointed out a bad system that holds in two of the five screens I wanted replaced and offered to put in a much more secure and better looking screen mount at no charge. He finished the job quickly, politely and very well done. He did three screen replacements in my frames and two of them needed new frames as well as screen. This review is a bit late but he came out three months ago and did an AMAZING job on two window screens and a sliding door screen. So polite and fast and reasonably priced! He even threw in a little handle for my toddlers on the sliding door screen which they LOVE and now they don't have to push on the screen itself to try to open it. I recently had the opportunity to use Mike Stribling at Cross Breeze Screens. First, don't waste your time calling other screen companies. I can tell you he has the best prices by far. We scheduled an appointment for 9am, the first appointment of the day. He was prompt, which I always appreciate. In no time he had the two patio screen doors off and was carrying them to his trailer. He said one of my wheels needed to be lubed and would take care of that. In short order the new screens were installed, and he was carrying them back to the back yard for installation into the track. He cleaned the track to ensure there was no debris that would not hinder the sliding operation. He adjusted the doors to ensure a perfect fit and roll. In my case, he also suggested a piece that would allow the screen doors to lock. This was something that was missing during the initial install some 20 years ago. I was impressed with his promptness, work ethic and respect for the work sight (cleanliness). In the end I paid him for his services. I was happy with the job and the screens look great. Because of his reasonable costs, I was able to afford the pet mesh or thicker screen and I don't even have a pet. I will end this, how I began this. I live in Simi Valley and I had multiple window screens replaced as well as backyard retractable screen door installed with Mike. First of all, I really appreciated how honest Mike was. He will tell you exactly how much each work is going to cost and why, there is no "things might add up later" unless there actually is something that is really missing. Second, his supplies are good quality. For the retractable screen door, I wanted the brand "clearview" and that is what Mike had. He did not even make a big deal about having that brand as his supplier when other screen door companies made it sound like it was a brand that I wouldn't be able to get unless I worked with them. Third, Mike is very kind and he will listen to your concerns as he work in your home. I shared a bit of a concern with having difficulty cleaning slits in my backyard door metal parts, Mike got his tools out and cleaned them so well there was not even a single dust left after his cleaning (which he didn't have to, it was not part of his work). And lastly, his price is very competitive compare to other screen companies. Per Mike it's because he is the owner and the worker of his company and that he does not want to charge his customers more than needed for he wants "good business" with his customers, especially since he only works with local areas. You can research on your own and get multiple estimates, you will probably agree with my decision at the end. I highly recommend Mike for his professional and honest work ethic! read more

My boyfriend and I just recently bought a house in Chatsworth and although it is brand new the previous owner tossed out the screens! So I called Mike from Crossbreeze screens and he got right back to me by voicemail the same evening. We coordinated schedules and he came out for an estimate and showed up on time! I work 12 hour shifts and my boyfriend travels so we really valued that they were a mobile screen service. It was as easy as calling setting an appointment and in one day the job was done. Mike showed up at 9:30 AM and worked until 5 o'clock nonstop!!! He is by far one of the hardest workers I've come across, and his attention to detail truly delighted us. He fabricated and customized a sliding screen door with a new track on a frame that was not quite level, so he shimmed it and now it's impossible to tell it's not part of the original house. Mike is an absolute delight to work with and he is very knowledgeable, honest and has reasonable prices. I called Mike to replace 3 screens in a condo I just purchased. All 3 had bent frames and/or holes in the screen. On the phone Mike told me that if the frame is bent they'd have to be replaced; so it was, when he showed up he confirmed that all 3 had to be completely replaced. I had 3 different companies out to get quotes on re-screening many of my windows and adding a front door screen. Mike was not only the most affordable but the most professional BY FAR!!! He talked to me about different options for different windows since we have cats and I was worried about durability. He also showed me many beautiful front door screens that I could choose from. If you don't have a front door screen you MUST get one! It has been a life changer. I can get a cross breeze (no pun intended) in our home during warm days/evenings and don't have to worry about bugs getting in or the cats getting out. I can hear and see the kids playing on the street which makes me feel safer. Another great part is when people come knocking to sell things you feel much better having that screen there to separate you from a stranger.
