Henry was excellent! He showed up right on time for both the measurements and the installation. Unlike a couple of other companies that never followed through, he gave me a prompt and fair quote for a swinging front screen door. The price was reasonable, the work was professional, and the door looks amazing--we love it! Highly recommend this company, and especially Henry, if you're looking for quality and reliability.

Screens are now in the trash due to the level of unprofessionalism. Paying more to avoid dealing with this guy ever again

Long story short, if you don't want to deal with someone who is rude, unprofessional, says one thing and does another, lies and is full of himself then STAY AWAY. The prices are not any better than anywhere else and the customer service is horrendous. Negative 5 stars if it were possible. Full story: We had screen doors installed a few years ago and they were fine. We were even recommending him on Nextdoor, Facebook and to friends and neighbors. But eventually, we had to change the actual doors because they were too deteriorated. We mentioned that this was a possibility and Henry said we would change them for $75 as long as the sizing was the same. The size did not matching exactly so he said it was another $150 for new parts. That's understandable but then he changed his mind and said $350. For the other door he said it would not work at all so we would have to get new ones at a 50% mark up from the original price we paid 2yrs prior. He said he would send an invoice later that day. Weeks later when we called asking for an update on getting things scheduled, he was seemingly upset at us calling back (again weeks after he said he would get back to us). He then wanted to charge $250 just to send the invoice. After another few weeks of not hearing from him (at this point over a month overall) I called him back to see when we could get the work scheduled. He said he'd call me back at 3, 4 or 5pm. At 4:30 I call him, no answer, no response. At 5 I texted him in case text is easier if he's very busy. No answer, no response, not even a courtesy reply. I tried one more time at 6 since its now months later with nothing happening and he was again failing to follow up. Apparently following up with him after he failed to even respond at any of the times HE said he would, upset him. He finally got back to me the next day a few hours after I called him again and he immediately started making accusations of us only wanting an invoice for insurance which makes absolutely no sense since he came to our house and saw that the screen doors were there but no longer installed. Obviously we want them back on. Why else would we still have them? We paid him (not someone else) to install them 2yr prior in the first place. Then he claimed that he never came to our house to get measurements which again is false since we made an appointment, he came, took measurements and came to the conclusion that one of the existing screens was not going to work. Told us a new price of $350 to reinstall one and $1300 to install a new one for the other one. Making things worse, the entire time I was trying to say that all we want is to have screens again and of course an invoice/receipt he just kept talking over me going on and on about being "so busy" and "us not being his only customers" and "me expecting him to drop everything to get back to me". This is his reaction to calling a few times and texting when he failed to follow up at the time that he said he would, on top of not following through with sending the invoice when he said he would nor getting back to us about getting the work scheduled? The level of unprofessionalism is so absurd it's almost comical. Then when I said that's fine to the $250 as long as it goes to the cost of the re-installation he changed his mind again and said "it's going to be $500 before he lifts a finger to do anything". To top it off he literally went on for 2-3 minutes straight ranting and raving about being busy, not getting home until 7pm and waking up only thinking about his business, Complete Screens when he wakes up, not customers". (I'm sorry but without paying customers you have no business.) At that point I had enough of having someone berate me just for trying to give them business and pay them for their services so I decided I'll happily pay more money to get 2 completely new screens from someone else rather than deal with him ever again. His screens are now in the trash and I will have new ones in a few weeks not months. Take my advice and Stay Away from this business if you can even call it that. If anyone wants Phantom Retractable Screens I can recommend another option. DM me

Our replacement windows had a screen that was too large and was damaged when we had to remove it. He arrived on time and replaced it in under an hour and did an excellent job. 5 Stars!

Enjoying a breeze with our new Phantom Legacy screen door

Unfortunately, my experience confirmed those concerns. I was originally scheduled for a consultation with Justin. At the last minute, I received a text from someone else asking me to move the appointment to an earlier time. I thought I was accommodating a different person, but then I was told the schedule had been changed back to Justin. There was clearly poor internal communication, and I was caught in the middle. I felt pressured to accept a time that didn't work for me. I was told that if I didn't take that time slot, I wouldn't be able to have a consultation at all. That felt unprofessional and unfair. I have all the text message communication to support this. What stood out the most was being told that I had to call the company to reschedule, instead of the company fixing a scheduling issue they created themselves. That's not good customer service. Based on my experience, this was not a five-star experience. I recommend others keep in mind that there are many other businesses that communicate clearly and respect your time.

    Paul's Windows

    Montecito Heights

(This review includes a response to the business owner's reply)…read more I had a deeply disappointing experience with Paul's Windows, and I want to share it so that other homeowners know what to expect before working with this company. I reached out for a small bedroom window replacement and had one key requirement: that the new window, once installed, provide a minimum clear opening height of 13 inches. The sales associate, Art, confirmed via text that the manufacturer (Crystal Pacific) said it would: 13.1875", in fact. That was fine by me. But when I asked for that specification to be confirmed in the contract, in writing, Art refused. Let me be clear: I wasn't asking for a personal warranty on the product. I simply wanted confirmation that the installed window, as ordered and managed by Paul's Windows, would meet the functional requirement I had clearly communicated. Art repeatedly deflected, referring to "what the manufacturer said," but was unwilling to take responsibility for the result. When I asked for accountability, he became dismissive and eventually walked away from the job. I contacted Paul directly, hoping for a more professional response. Instead, I received a generic brush-off and a claim that the window wouldn't meet the specs, which contradicts what their own sales associate had already confirmed. Worse, Paul didn't acknowledge or engage with any of the valid concerns I raised around basic customer service, transparency, or professional responsibility. Ultimately, I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I was hiring a company to manage a job and deliver a specific result. If something went wrong, say, the manufacturer provided a window that didn't meet the spec, it would be on the contractor to resolve it, not on me to go chase down the supplier. That's what any responsible company would do. But Paul's Windows made it clear they don't see it that way. If you're okay with vague communication, contractors who won't stand behind their own work, and potentially being left to deal with problems on your own, maybe this company is fine. But if you want clarity, professionalism, and accountability in writing, then look elsewhere. § Paul's response below is a classic damage control move -- polite on the surface, but full of deflection and quiet rewriting of events. To clarify: the window in question would have met the required 13" clear opening. That wasn't in dispute. Art, their sales associate, confirmed that in writing and was fully prepared to proceed with the job -- until I asked for a simple written accountability. That's the moment everything fell apart. Paul's follow-up misrepresents the timeline and sidesteps the core issue -- not whether the window would fit, but whether the company was willing to stand behind the result they were being paid to deliver.

After signing the contract the windows were ordered and arrived in about 3 weeks. The installation team worked quickly and Art was there to see it complete. Added the grids to match the style of the old windows since I have a condo and HOA would probably have an issue if not everyone's windows matched since it's a shared building.
