I had lunch with friends at Crosby's Kitchen, which was the perfect spot. The Wrightwood Salad was divine. Mandy, our server, was beyond wonderful and we all felt spoiled by the great attention she gave us. read more

Crosby's. Outstanding food always. Great for Kids but also great for adult cocktails and date night. T

Crosby's Kitchen, located in the very lively area of Lakeview, is definitely a destination restaurant. From the ease of making a registration to the welcoming hello of the host, we knew this was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday. Cool vibe. Perfect volume to have a conversation and no judgy looks when there were intermittent bubbles of laughter. The wait staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. All of the staff was smiling, clearing, cleaning and working together to assure that their customers were getting the best experience. The GM even stopped by for birthday wishes. Our cocktails were curated perfectly. The prime rib was flavorful, tender and quite generous. Add mashed potatoes -- yum! The Cavatelli & Buratta was presented well and delicious. Okay, let's talk about the key lime pie with a graham cracker crust. WoW! We stopped by to congratulate the executive chef on his achievement. He was very humble. This is a truly a gem. read more

Great Wrightwood Salad as usual! Also, great service. Will definitely return. Thank You.

Please bring back Prickly Pear margarita. It is the best drink in all of Chicago. I miss it so much

Went here for a weekend brunch for outdoor dining with a toddler on a cool Saturday morning. This was our second outing together to a restaurant as a family coming off the back end of the COVID pandemic. I'd like to commend this restaurant for being super accommodating and family friendly, and making our experience an overall pleasant one. The patio is on the sidewalk and great for people watching, albeit a bit small. The tables are separated appropriately and we had an isolated table on the end of the patio. The restaurant workers wore masks and wiped down the tables. The waitress gave us a high chair and a cup with a straw for our toddler. We ordered monkey bread, a skillet, an omelette and biscuits and gravy. Portion sizes were hearty and we had lots of leftovers. The monkey bread was sweet and very tasty. The biscuits and gravy were classic and delicious. The omelette was blended well with the ingredients. Our toddler, who is usually extremely picky, loved all of the food. We will try to be back! read more

Quick lunch stop for a chicken sandwich with coleslaw. Pleasant staff, quick service and flavorful meal. Highly recommend. Also 2 areas for outdoor seating also. read more

Everything they have is incredible. The lobster deviled eggs are probably my favorite deviled eggs of all time. Their chicken falls off the bone, is so juicy, and the seasoning is perfect. Love their mashed potatoes, spaetzle Mac, chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, grilled cheese, filet sliders, the list goes on... Haven't had one "meh" thing yet! Fun spot for brunch and perfect for dinner (date or casual)! Family friendly. Service is great - one time I went for brunch and the waitress recommended her favorites, I ordered them all, and LOVED it! read more

This was my first time here. I arrived with my family of five including one young child for dinner. We opted to be seated outside on the sidewalk due to the nice weather. As you can see from my pics I started with and enjoyed their Blackberry margarita with tequila, Cointreux, lime, blackberry syrup, rimmed with black salt for $12. All of the five house special cocktails are $12. We enjoyed our share of the Crab toast with jumbo lump crab, avocado puree and pickled chilis for $13. I also enjoyed my full rack of BBQ'd babyback ribs with their Smoke Daddy BBQ sauce rated one of the best in Chicago and choice of any side for $24. I opted for their side of mashed potatoes. You can also purchase separately their Smoke Daddy BBQ sauce. We all enjoyed our dinners and service here, therefore, we will return here. read more

Great lobster deviled eggs and the salmon was great! Gluten free options are helpful.

Good food, great drinks, and awesome atmosphere! The we started with the crab toast which was simple but very fresh and tasty with a mild kick from the peppers. I had the blackened fish sandwich with a side of green beans. It was flavorful and very filling. My friend had the short rib rigatoni and loved it. I also loved the blackberry margarita! The service was fantastic! Will be back to try more! read more

I come into Crosbys all the time, truly because of Megan. Megan provides us with the best service and makes the best drinks. Every time I come in, Megan is so on top of everything. Even if the restaurant is packed and every seat is taken at the bar, Megan is able to make us the best drink without having to wait. She also keeps the bar so clean. She is truly unbelievable! Thanks for the amazing service Megan!! read more

We wanted to grab a Saturday brunch close to my daughter's apartment in Wrigleyville, checked several places and Crosby's Kitchen looked very good. Decided to meet her and a couple of her friends here and the we had a wonderful time. Food: So many great things to choose from, we scrolled through all of the Yelp photos but everything looked so tasty. We started with an order of the Monkey Bread for the table...definately a must try! I ended up going with Crab Toast app as I had a snack on my way over. Everyone else in our party ordered an assortment of menu items from the Shrimp and Grits to the Omlette Cornelia and the Benedict. Every menu item was excellent and ended with a booth full of happy brunchers. Even though everyone said they were stuffed, we ordered the Cookie Skillet which was quickly consumed by those "stuffed" individuals! Service: Our server Olivia was fantastic, took really great care of us. She patiently answered all of our questions, checked on our party frequently, and delivered everything with a smile. Atmosphere: Indoor and outdoor seating with a number of comfy booths and tables. There is an outdoor seating that looked great for al fresco but it was little rainy when we arrived. They also have a well stocked bar with seating that looks like it would be great to have a cocktail or two. Value: Good value for the location, quality of ingredients, and portions. I would consider the servings to be hearty without going overboard. With the five of us, including the monkey bread to start, the cookie skillet to end, cost per diner was about $18 each. Overall: Great place, friendly service, excellent food, I'd definitely return in the future when we return to the area. Yelp tip - Check out the restaurant in Yelp to see how long the wait is, you can even add yourself to the wait list in order to cut down the amount of time you spend in line at the restaurant. A really enjoyable experience! read more

I came here with a friend from out of town because it was recommended. The vibe was great and the service was good but sadly it appears that the filet sliders were incredibly under cooked. We were pretty disappointed with that but overall our experience was good! read more

The service was extremely friendly and helpful. I recommend calling when they are open for any questions, concerns, or large group reservations. They do not have a voicemail and do not respond to emails. I emailed for 5 days and checked back in a couple times. Never received a response. But when I called and reached someone, very helpful and made it work for us. We had a large group for lunch after a movie. I know it wasn't easy for the server to handle our large group and separate checks and we appreciated her patience. (There was no one waiting for a table -otherwise one of us would have just paid the whole thing and figure it out later). Cute holiday decor and cozy half booth seating. I liked the vibe. The food was pretty good. That's really the only reason for 4 stars. The croquettes were really good. My chicken pot pie was a good hot comfort delish but I had to add ALOT of salt. The crust was delicious but the filling had no flavor. A couple people got the short rib rigatoni and they generally liked it but maybe lacked a little in flavor too. My mom and another person enjoyed their burgers. The fries were the shoe string style and were really hard. The drinks were good. I think just the overall opinion of the food was lackluster but not bad. Everyone said it was Just pretty good. I have heard great things about Crosby's so I want to come back again. Could just have been an off day food wise. Even the greatest restaurants have them. I'll update after I come back. read more

Our family of four decided to order in Thanksgiving this year. And we wanted to support a local restaurant and picked Crosby's Kitchen because my daughter used to live in the neighborhood and we always loved it. We got a whole fabulous 12 pound turkey with gravy & cranberry relish, a yummy sweet potato casserole, a green bean and mushroom casserole, and the most amazing biscuits ever with a maple butter. We filled in with our own mashed potatoes and stuffing. Everything was amazing. And we ate another round the next day. Then I made two different turkey tetrazzini's with the leftovers plus turkey broth for soups. All in all, it was worth every penny and it was certainly delicious. read more

Used to be a go to but between the kids running around and dogs allowed in the restaurant I've sadly stopped going. I understand family friendly but toddlers sitting at the bar is too much. I also have allergies and don't appreciate dogs being allowed under tables (clearly not service dogs) and allowed in for carry out. Honestly thought it's a health code violation. read more

Crosby's kitchen has a welcoming/trendy vibe and I thought I was going to enjoy the experience more than I actually did. What I ordered: I tried the grilled fish sandwich with the vegetable of the day which was Brussels sprouts in an Asian-inspired sauce. The fish was good, but Nothing special. The Brussels sprouts would have been really good if the sauce had been evenly dispersed. I wish I would have tried the iron skillet blueberry cornbread because I think I would have enjoyed Crosby's more if I had. The service was good and the price was reasonable I would be willing to give this place another try! read more

Do you crave Applebee's but would prefer to pay 25% more? Eat here! We had a burger and the chicken sandwich with dip for lunch. The fries were bad. The sandwich and burger were edible but that's it. The slaw was solid. The service was good. But, I can get all of the above at Applebees for cheaper and Applebees is a 2...so. read more

Came in on a Saturday night. We did not have to wait for a table they seated us very quickly. The waitress was friendly and overall service was great. We got the calamari and deviled eggs for an appetizer. They were both flavorful and came out fast. For dinner we got the baby ribs and rotisserie chicken. The meat on the ribs were cooked perfectly the meat fell of the bone and were seasoned perfectly. For dessert we got the carrot cake and the ice cream cookie. Both were great! read more

We wanted to get brunch spontaneously in the Southport area, and I had gotten a recommendation to try Crosby's sometime before. I wasn't sure how good the brunch was, but wanted to give this popular spot a try. Definitely needed to get a nice patio spot too. We put our names down and waited about 20 minutes- walked around the nice area to kill the time- and were seated in a nice outdoor spot next. Besides the flies, the flowers surrounding the patio were beautiful. Our service was prompt and super friendly. We ordered the lobster deviled eggs and some coffee to start. These deviled eggs were delicious and a nice treat before the meal. I couldn't decide on an entree but finally decided on the bacon shoulder benedict. I am very particular on my bacon and love when it's thick and not too crispy- and this bacon hit the spot. It was perfectly juicy and meaty, and the rest of the benedict was delicious as well. A little too much sauce, but the spicy bacon hollandaise was pretty tasty. I got the fruit instead of the potatoes to attempt to be healthier. My boyfriend got the Lakeview omelet, and this was nice and meaty. All the other brunch dishes looked great, and the portions were nice and big. I would love to come back for another meal to try more dishes! read more

Great family friendly place. Friendly staff. Amazing turkey burger. Love the lobster deviled eggs.

Food was good, service was friendly. LOVED the jalepeño cornbread & chocolate chip cookie skillet. Fun cocktail menu.

We went to Crosby Kitchen on a busy Saturday and had an amazing experience. We sat by the fireplace and were kept cozy with their warm menu options and boozy brunch cocktails (we love a bloody with a beer chaser). As others have mentioned, the monkey bread can't be missed! The tostadas and biscuits and gravy were also a favorite at our table. The service was fast, super fast, and we left feeling full and refreshed after our morning of shopping the Southport corridor. read more

The food here was beyond great! Everything you would expect from a Chicago hotspot! I have to talk about the hashbrowns for a minute... They were so great that I can honestly say, they may have been the best hashbrowns I've ever had! In fact, they were so good that we had to have a second order of them and fought over the last bite! I can't wait to go back to Chicago to brunch at Crosby's again! read more

Crosby's is a neighborhood staple to Southport corridor in Chicago. A beautiful patio, large windows adjacent to booths with ample sunlight lends this restaurant to be a frequent destination. Did a reorder of steak frite via Grubhub tonite. Has always been good in the past. What I got was a thick, very small piece of chewy meat that was clearly not what steak frite is supposed to be. Called the restaurant to request a refund. They were of no help at all. They said they changed their menu and substituted what I received for the former steak frite. This change didn't come up when I hit the "reorder" button in Grubhub. As for a refund, Crosby's said there's nothing they can do, and I need to go to Grubhub to request a refund. But, it's Crosby's bad food! This cost me $55 bucks for crap. Was supposed to be a special occasion dinner. Frankly, Crosby's ruined my night. But at least my dogs were happy, because this meal was fit for my dogs, but not for humans. Shame on you, Crosby's. read more

$9 for Greek Yogurt with granola and fruit- too much? Until I tasted it. Its about the best combo of those I've had.The granola makes the dish. My wife got the fried egg sandwich that's sunny side with bacon and tomato. I like that too. Both dishes were not complex so you can taste the honesty of the ingredients. There are times that simplicity is what you're longing for. Part of what you pay here is the Ambiance. And, yes it's worth IT. read more
