For our activity, we water color painted an alphabet book for the baby. Each page consisted of a letter and accompanying animal tracing, so our job was just to fill it in. I'm pretty sure the owner did all the outlines for us, which was incredibly impressive! The painting was so relaxing, therapeutic, and fun! I love that my friend will have this book to look back on to remember the fun day. They offer SO many fun and crafty classes here. Wreath building, calligraphy, embroidery, macrame, and that is truly just the tip of the iceberg. If you're interested in picking up a new hobby or exploring a craftier side, I think indigo + violet is the perfect place to look.

I've attended several classes here with my 2-3 year old and it is just the right bite sized chunk of artsiness to keep young kids interested -- with cute byproducts to boot! My favorites have included the little fireplace we made before Christmas and the ladybugs on International Women's Day. I like what you're throwing down here, Easel - I like it. Well organized, friendly, fun, well priced -- I'm a huge fan and always look forward to bringing my little guy here (though its a close competition for him as to what's more fun 1. the class or 2. riding the bus home -- the bus!). Bubbles has been just a saving grace. The people that work here are so nice and professional. The young teachers are so sweet and kind. I ended up meeting some of my best Mom friends here and our children became such good friends. The Gold Coast location is great because there's not a lot for babies and toddlers to go to that are in walking distance, it's at the Bloomingdale's building which is great because we can grab a coffee while the kids are in their one hour class he has grown up here and just absolutely adores the teachers. They have a drop in art from 12 to 5 , 7 a week. How great to be able to go somewhere on a Saturday or Sunday and even when they don't have classes during holiday breaks they're still open for drop off art during Christmas time. It was so great just to bring him somewhere. Someplace familiar and happy my son starts lighting up when we, go into the Bloomingdale's building. Every time I meet a new mom with a baby, I immediately recommend the Bubbles classes. You can bring your infant and under six-year-old here for all the stuff that they have open play is great too. During the brutal cold winter, even when the kids don't have class, our friends, bring them to the open play which is included if you are enrolled in a session they play or we pay extra for them to do art which is only $10 completely reasonable and then we eat in the mall with them such a great place to kill three or four hours when it's freezing cold outside

It was actually pretty quiet at the time I was there, during the noon hour; I assume there are busier times but I was glad it wasn't to wild. There are various rooms to hold different classes, open play, and so on. They also have a really extensive class schedule, so there is a great deal to choose from, particularly if your children are older than one I think. Be mindful of where your course is--there are two buildings in which they hold various classes, across the street from one another. I will keep an eye on the classes and play that Bubbles offers because I may want to enroll my kiddo in something fun later. Parking is really good. There's a lot that's shared between Bubbles and the bank next door, and there's also some street parking on the dead-end street on which Bubbles is located. I never had a problem with parking but I'm not sure if I was there at an atypically slow time of day.

Somebody came in and stole from the pockets where we were told to hang our coats. There was no footage on the camera (still don't get why!!), apparently no one in the lobby and the door was not locked. Nobody called to apologize after that, to help in any way or to take any responsibility for anything that was stolen from a private event that should have had the doors closed. An expensive wallet, cash, debit and credit cards, ids,... Bad taste in my mouth, that's all. Will not step foot in that place again.

Skip & Scoot classes are full of fun obstacle courses, activities, music, singing, dancing, stories and more. The bubbles at the end of class are always a favorite for my mini. Oh and the stamp... she loves to have her stamp that all of the kids receive at the end. These classes are great for entertaining and also exhausting my toddler - she always takes a good nap after a Skip & Scoot class. ;-) And if this wasn't reason enough, Miss Luci will often chime in with some tidbits about how this activity or that exercise is not only fun, but is building the brain and helping improve development in our little ones. Note about Covid: We have also taken the new outdoor classes more recently (after months of sheltering in place and doing virtual classes) and would like to point out that Skip & Scoot now has precautionary Covid procedures in place. All adults (including the teacher) are required to wear face masks and the whole set up is in an outdoor park with tons of space for social distancing. Everyone (kids and adults) are asked to use hand sanitizer prior to touching equipment and everyone in the class follows along with these measures and we feel very safe and comfortable. And it's so great for my kid to be back in this type of learning and play environment with other kids!

We were worried if the number would become a crowd. But Mary Lou and her team were exceptional handlers of young and excited girls. Starting from dressing them up, managing participation of every girl and making each feel special - all were done extremely well.
