We had our daughter's 5th birthday at Spotlight on 3 this past weekend and it was a great success! My daughter was giddy starting with the star-studded photo of her in the elevator on the way up to the studio (the photo was from a family photo shoot that we did with MaryLou at the zoo last year - wonderful photos)! Once the guests arrived, they all had their hair done and chose a beautiful princess gown to wear. They put on costume jewelry and tiaras to match, had their nails done and learned how to curtsy and dance like true princesses. After all the dancing and games, the girls sat at perfectly set tables to feast on pizza and cake. Everything was taken care of - all I had to do was bring the cake, food, and birthday girl! MaryLou and her assistants did the rest (including setting up food, organizing gifts and goody bags, and cleaning up). MaryLou does a wonderful job organizing a fun filled party. She hires talented assistants that act as singers, dancers, hairdressers, and game planners while dressed in their own beautiful princess gowns. MaryLou's studio is festive and fun; a perfect venue for a party. I've worked with MaryLou the photographer, MaryLou the party planner, and MaryLou the fundraiser. We have been working with Spotlight on 3 for 4 years and will keep going back! Initially, we did studio photo shoots and then we expanded to location photo shoots and Christmas Cards and for the last two years we have held my daughter's birthday parties at Spotlight on 3. The Studio does a great job at photography and made my daughter's birthday so special. During the photo shoots, I am always worried about getting good shots and we always end up with tons to choose from. Mary Lou does a great job of arranging the best poses and drawing out the best smiles. For the birthday parties, the team at Spotlight on 3 made my daughter feels so wonderful. The dress up party is a great deal compared to other places and the team was organized, fun, and engaged. We chose the Parisian theme and the girls dressed up in beautiful gowns, had their nails and make-up done, did a fashion show, learned French words, and had lunch and cake on china. Mary Lou took a photo of the party group and everyone got a copy to take home to remember the awesome event. It was a beautiful, stress free party, and everyone had a blast. We had my daughter's 6th birthday party at Spotlight on 3. We did the "Diva" theme and it was perfect! The space was private, well-decorated with lots of personal touches and my daughter and her guests received the royal treatment! Lots of dress-up (quality dresses, necklaces, etc), fun games (adjusted to their age), dancing (to any and every song my daughter personally choose) and my daughter even got to perform on the stage, singing her favorite song - she LOVED it! They did some fun "academy awards" and every girl really got a chance to shine. Such a great choice for a birthday spot and with the multiple choices in party theme - it can't be beat! Mary Lou is a great owner and communicated everything to us in a timely fashion. The girls that worked the party were high energy and really enjoyed their time too. Highly recommend checking it out - we have had or been to parties EVERYWHERE in the city and this was a great, personal and memorable experience!! read more

We had our daughter's 5th birthday at Spotlight on 3 -Frozen Party. Our daughter was so excited and felt like a princess! I have been to other parties that are "Frozen" themed style and they were not nearly as good as Spotlight on 3. "Elsa" was spectacular. Broadway performance level! The girls got dressed in fancy dresses (not the cheap type) and then got their make up and hair done. Everything ran so smoothly with no downtime for the kids to get bored. The eating area is set up on tables with tablecloths, linen napkins, goblets and chair covers. VERY FANCY!! All the girls at the party kept talking that this was the best party they had ever been to! Each child got a photo of the group in their gowns (included in the price) which was a huge hit! HIGHLY recommend Spotlight on 3 for birthday parties! read more

We held our daughter's 5th birthday party here in late August 2010 and everyone had a FABULOUS time! Mary Lou, the owner of Spotlight on 3, and her staff made the celebration incredible. From the early stages of party planning to the time the cake candles were blown out, Mary Lou and her team were dedicated, communicative and fun to work with. The event space is spacious, festive and fun. Our daughter had 13 little girls in tow and each and every mom commented on how it was such a wonderful party. Our daughter's friends have all asked when the next birthday party will be at Spotlight on 3! We whole-heartedly recommend hosting a party at this gem of a party place. This is a fantastic place if you want to relax and let your little one celebrate in over the top girl style. My daughter had her 6th birthday party here a few weeks ago and was very excited when she got to the studio. The gowned hostesses directed all the activities and were very good at making my daughter feel special. All the girls got to dress up in Parisian gowns and got their hair, nails and make up done by the hostesses. The girls also got to make fans, sing "Let It Go" on stage, eat in an elegant dining area, and received a group photo. We were very glad to have discovered this studio and thought Mary Lou and her young hostesses made the party memorable and effortless. read more

I had my daughter and her friend's 8th birthday party at Spotlight on 3. I was blown away at how well organized and absolutely adorable everything was for their spa party. Mary Lou, the owner, goes above and beyond your expectations! They made their own flip flops, created and applied their own face masks, got manis and pedis, all while wearing robes. They had a karaoke session while their nails dried and before their spa food, which was served on China on beautifully set tables. The girls had a fantastic time and went home with several spa goddies provided by Spoghtligjt on 3 and a group photo. I'm worried we have set the bar too high for next year.! read more

Had a party for my 6 year old daughters birthday and it was a huge success! Great owner and hosts that will completely customize the party for you - lots of creative themes, great space. We did a girly party that rivaled anything at Sweet and Sassy. They took pics we sent and did big posters of our child to decorate as well as some inexpensive candy bars with her pic on them as favors. We didn't take advantage of the photography package but wished we would have taken a closer look - can't beat on on site photographer to document it all for you. Worth checking out as a great alternative to the chain party spots everyone uses. read more

Just did PJ Party Jam themed party with Mary Lou at Spotlight on 3 for my 7 year old daughter and her 15 friends. It was the perfect venue. Mary Lou and her great assistants kept the party moving - from getting the girls' hair done, nails done, pillow case craft, relay games, Karaoke, fashion show, dance party. The studio is the ultimate destination for little girls dream party. All you have to bring is the food/drinks in, as pretty china/plastic goblets/linen napkins/utensils are all provided. Mary Lou is extremely organized and professional - super easy to work with and great with the girls. read more

My daughter had an amazing Hawaiian 5th birthday party at Spotlight on 3. Mary Lou and her 3 assistants were amazing! There were 14 little girls at the party and they all had a blast. Mary Lou had beautiful grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts and leis for the girls to wear. They also had their hair and nails done, learned a hula dance and played games. I only supplied the food and drinks, they do the rest. There are so many party themes to chose from, I have 2 daughters who have been to several parties there and the themes are rarely duplicated. We had my daughter's 8th birthday party at Spotlight on 3 and have attended several other parties at the venue. My daughter chose Rock Star but all of the parties are fabulous. She has adorable gowns for the girls (to match the theme), does their hair and nails, games, dance party on her stage. The girls enjoyed it all and I enjoyed the fact that all I had to do was attend the birthday party. She provides everything..dishes/goblets/utensils, beautifully decorated tables. All you have to do is bring the food/drinks. It's a great venue for birthday parties. read more

What a magical place to have a party. We had my daughter's ninth birthday here and it was fantastic. All 10 girls had a terrific time. The owner MaryLou is so wonderful. She customized the party for us at no extra charge. We took most of the 'Diva' party and added some twists. It was terrific. The hostesses were wonderul and even the 2 mom's that stayed loved it. MaryLou is also a really great photographer - her photos are priceless - she can really capture the moment. What a great place - we're thinking of having a mom's party there too! read more

Had our daughter's 7th birthday party here - Rock Star style. It was fabulous. Mary Lou, the owner, and her staff are wonderful. The facilities are spacious and wonderful. All 10 first grade girls had a blast picking out a rock star costume, getting hair, makeup and nails done, singing and dancing! The eating area is set up like a wedding reception - chair covers, fancy place settings, very nice! It was a great experience and we'll certainly go back for future birthday parties! We hosted my daughter's fifth birthday party at Spotlight on 3. It was great and she is still talking about it weeks after the event. She had a "rock star" party. All the girls got to dress up, have their hair, make-up and nails done. They danced, played games, and my daughter got to sing one song on her own and a few songs with all her friends. My daughter just had a Rock Star theme party at Spotlight on 3 for her 7th birthday, and it could not have been more perfect. It is a beautiful setting and the girls had a blast with the karaoke, dance lesson and other themed activities. They loved the posh table settings, the costumes and getting their hair done up rock star style. We took our Girl Scout troop to enjoy the "Spa-tacular" package at Spotlight on 3 back in June. The girls had a fabulous time, while getting their nails done, making their own facials, eating snacks at fancy tables, and more. The team there made sure that the girls were treated to a relaxing afternoon, but also had some dancing fun in there, as well. Very impressive, exceeded my expectations completely. I was thrilled to discover this gem of a studio because it's one block from my house. The gowns, decor, options and attention to detail are top notch. The gowns are gorgeous, I've never seen such beautiful little girl dresses. My five-year old and her friends had an unbelievable time, as did us parents. Highly recommend this studio, you won't regret it. read more
