Croqueteria is a super unique shop near Tarrytown, which features *wait for it* ....croquettes (a.k.a. croquettas)! ...and I can personally attest: They offer up some pretty tasty ones at that! Croqueteria has all the typical flavors you have known to grow and love (or possibly grew up with)--namely, ham and cheese, chicken, fish, and potato. Then there's the specialty ones: spinach and cheese, crab meat, black bean, and pumpkin (yes, for the fall time)! They change up their special croquettas often. Besides their namesake, Croqueteria also serves up other cuban delights--cuban sandwiches, ropa vieja, cuban sodas, etc. One final shout out to the staff! They were al super friendly and very helpful. Be sure to check Croqueteria if you are nearby!! Eat some for now and take even more home! You'll be glad you did.

What an absolute treat. We popped in here a couple of days ago on a whim, the wife needed to spend some amex money to get her airline points, and they made the list. So we walked over, and got ourselves two sandwiches. Both owners, or the owner and his mom where there and we had a lovely chat about NYC, trains, earthquakes and the joys of snow when we were kids. I got the pulled pork sand, and she got the Cuban, which may be their signature. Both were extremely tasty, and when I sent my brother the picture below he replied, why haven't you taken me here, so next time we will. They have a wide assortment of croquettes which we didn't try, but we are keen to next time. Overall, wonderful experience, people and food, and if you're in the area you should pop in.

Where's the Beef?? $16 for bread!

Steak sandwich without the steak! $16 for bread! I Was expecting a little more meat than that but they told me it's skirt steak and that's what you get.

Soda de piña y Cubano por supuesto

¡Ay dios mío! Croqueteria delivers on comida Cubana y más! My mom and I went and the service, atmosphere, food and location are excelente! We had a couple of croquetas and then ordered 6 more because they were soooo good. Also shared a Cuban sandwich... the bread and ingredients super fresh and pressed just right! Everything is clean and nearly decorated. As my mom and I are Cubanas, we really enjoyed a great treat to talk with the owners about nyc, the weather, and of course good cooking. There was a family visiting from Pennsylvania and we all joined in conversation... just an all around super time. Giving five stars but would give MORE if I could. I'll definitely be returning soon!

Nice little Cuban joint. Nothing fancy. Delicious food

Best cubanos around ! Authentic! Simple menu for a small joint. Four different sands and a handful of croquet flavors. Food is delicious! Friendly owners. Perfect size sands

I had lunch here yesterday with my husband and loved the croquetas. I grew up in Miami eating homemade ones all the time since my parents are both from Cuba. I live in Connecticut now and it was great to find this place while we were exploring Sleepy Hallow. I'll be back to try more of their food soon!

Even though this was not a vegan dish, who could pass on a collosal cheese biscuit. The egg was a nice accompaniment to this cheese biscuit also. The lady that gave me the biscuits said, wow! They're also committed to cutting out the middleman, such as a store, market, or distributor. Located in the heart of Tarrytown on Main Street, we decided to meet up for brunch at Sweet Grass Grill. The reservation was easily made via Yelp. Al fresco seating filled the sidewalks in front of the dog-friendly eatery, and the open door allows chitchat to move freely in and out, creating a lively yet comfortable vibe. Upon entering as first-timers, the wooden bar commands attention, where my partner, his family, and I were greeted by the staff. They have a program to text when your table was ready, so we went for a walk in the neighborhood while we waited. A surprisingly short time later, we received the text that our table was ready! The menu(s) had a wonderful selection of food and drinks, along with some specials. They do use a QR code for their menus, but noticed they also had paper menus upon request. Our server was friendly and attentive. The other members of staff would also check in as they passed by. My boyfriend enjoyed the PB & J Latte along with the creole shrimp Benedict. He said it was seasoned well, right level of spice, stated the eggs were poached perfectly, and really enjoyed how moist the cornbread was. I indulged with the "Tipsy Palmer" which is an Arnold Palmer with Bourbon in it. To be honest, there wasn't much of a bourbon taste to it, if any at all, but for a summer brunch drink, it was refreshing. For my entree, I chose the chicken Caesar sliders. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed as the brioche buns seemed a little on the stale/stiff side. The homemade caesar dressing was delicious, but they only coated the lettuce in it which resulted in a bit of a dry slider. I believe the sliders would benefit from a bit of the dressing at least on the bottom of the bun. I asked for (and received) a side of the dressing to bring home to dress up my remaining sliders. Lastly, and I know this is extremely minor, but the silverware was placed incorrectly (knife and fork reversed with the knife edge in the wrong direction). Again, I am WELL AWARE this is minor, but for me, sometimes the minor details are the things that stand out. Overall, a wonderful experience and will try them again at a later date.

We do notice two empty tables outside but understood that maybe they don't want to seat people and overwhelm the kitchen. After about 10 mins of waiting we're offered one of the tables that had been empty. (Which were outside). No menus given but we noticed the QR codes. Guy comes by and drops off cups w ice and a carat of water. Waiting... waiting.... Finally another server comes and asks if we'd like to order drinks. Yes, and our meals bc we've been sitting here for quite some time. We get our coffees and there's a lot of grinds at the bottom of the cups, server switches it out. We finally get our food and two of the three meals were not hot, not even warm. But we're hungry and eat but when the server checks in my sister says "honestly for as long as we waited we would've expected hotter food, these two (egg dishes) are cold." He apologizes and says he'll let the manager know. The manager, who I can only assume is Lisa (based on the responses I'm seeing here on Yelp) came out and said I hear the food is cold? And was very aggressive right off the bat. Saying everything comes right out of the kitchen and to the table, we don't have heat lamps. Offers to "reheat" the food (but how, the microwave?) we're already half way thru the dishes as we had waited a long time. My sister tried to express that after waiting for a table, service and grounds in the coffee that this was disappointing - the manager interjects w "well did you tell him did he give you a new one" She does NOT take criticism very well, she's abrasive and leaves a bad taste in your mouth. She then came out (after I assume finding out the whole story and how long we had been there) she said she would take the two items off the bill, which we weren't gunning for. As we just gave honest feedback when asked how everything was. We then noticed her come and check in on the other tables outside bc people who got there well after us also got their food at the same time... As much as I'd want to come back and try it again bc the promise is there. The manager was such a turn off, that I would be spending my money there, again.
