I work in the same building as them and have seen eating their bread since they came to Alpine. I was in there the day the openeding buying more bread. It's all made fresh same day. Our entire building smells like fresh baked bread. Everything I've tried has been amazing. I've told everyone I know about it and treat them to goodies from there. If I could give this place 100 stars I would. My mom and I went there yesterday. We bought a whole assortment of goodies and ALL were delicious. The woman who worked the front was very friendly and the baker was very personable. My absolute favorite things we ordered was the Gruyere green onion loaf and the roasted tomato croissant. I don't know why we waited so long to try this lovely little bakery. Croic is the Baker and his wife Heather is at the counter. The nicest people in the world and the baked goods are heavenly. The sweet pastries are just the right balance of sweet and flavor and we love the croissants. If you haven't given them a try you are missing out . Pastries are good. Prices are a touch high. I got a yogurt parfait there once and it was good but had too much cinnamon in it for my taste. Just a touch would be good. Today I was in there and I witnessed the woman behind the counter barking sold out to the customers. I feel she could have said it a lot nicer to the customers, but when they asked if a certain item was available she basically yelled at them "sold out". Seemed strange and uncalled for. We tried the ham and cheese croissant, ham, cheese and jalapeno croissant and the cream cheese croissant. All 3 were very yummy. The croissant is flaky, buttery deliciousness. We went at 745am and they were already out of several things we wanted to try so get there as early as possible. We will definitely be back to try more. read more

I discovered this jewel of a bakery/coffee shop back in March when the "virus" started. I live in San Dimas and enjoy taking day drives through Southern and Central CA and have disovered a lot of great independent businesses - and this is one of them. Owners are very friendly, and the coffee and baked goods are excellent. CroBean is right off the 8 fwy so it is easy access in this cool little town. Get up early to get the best selection- doors open at 5:00! Buttery croissants! The pies are fantastic: less sugar sweet than the commercial stuff. What until you see the breads... irresistible! I love love love this Bakery. I'm so grateful we have them in Alpine. The ingredients lean on the healthy/organic side is one of the most important things to me. The Jalapeno cheese bread is out of this world delicious. Their organic coffee's, Acai bowls with her homemade granola are the BOMB. So many other goodies oh oh their homemade butters are to die for.
